Your music is some of the most interesting to come out of the Touareg region. A superb fusion of ancient rhythms and jazz sensibilities. Very exciting to experience and I love the beautiful images too. Just perfect. Keep it up.
Then like mine :) Even they created the band in Algeria, they are Touaregs from Mali. But I'd say that touaregs don't even have country since they are in many countries of Sahel many of them consider them selfs from the Sahara. Take care weld bledi ;)
PS: But for sure if they were to chose a country, that would Algeria, and Tamanrasset as their capital. Since most of Touaregs are Algerians, and they are respected in Algeria, but not in Mali for example.
I spoke with Abdallah a band member after a concert, he told me tuaregs are from the sahara of Algeria since ancient times, they had kingdoms and such and they consider their roots tuaregs of algerian sahara.
Hi!!! I'm Mexican, living in San Diego, California area. I heard your music by "accident". I was watching-listening "NPR Music Tiny Desk" and I saw you there and start listening your guys. By the time I realized, I was already looking for more music about you, and I was totally impressed. Definitely a very interesting a different music that isn't common to hear here, at least not by me. I will keep looking for your music and hope to get a chance to go to one of your concerts. Keep the good work amigos!
For those of you familiar with this music please volunteer for us Western fans which time signatures are being used like 5/8. Would love to hear it more acutely. Also Arabic Guitar scales. Please point them out so we can play them and love them at home. When I studied Belly Dance my teachers drilled us on North African time signatures. But it has been a decade since and I am too crippled to dance but can play music.

Belly dance and Arab tunes have nothing to do with this. This music comes from the Berbers (the indigenous people of north africa). They have their own unique culture, values, language, etc... They might look similar to Arabs from a western pov, but once you start looking deeper you can see the huge differences.
Diana sanchez maldonado You're right but if you understand the lyrics, you would consider it the anthem of your life because this song is dope and it says a lot about Chaghaybou.

I was listening to this thinking it was Oromo music, the more I listened, it sounded like mix between Afar, Somali, Oromo and basically anywhere in the Cushitic language group.
