Thanks for the excellent review. I'm considering the Meze 109 Pro paired with the Woo Audio WA7 Gen 3 for my desk setup.
I have the Sennheiser HD600S, but even after two years of stretching and adjustments I still don't find them comfortable. I like the overall sound of the HD660S (after correcting the 5-6K Hz peak and slightly lifting the bass with parametric EQ), but would prefer a vocal presentation that isn't quite so forward. I hope the Meze 109 Pro is as comfortable as everyone says it is. I can't stand anything more than very gentle pressure on the sides of my head.

These are the two headphones i am seriously looking into buying. Trying to decide between them to go along with or replace my 6XX. Not sure if i should stick with the Sennheiser House sound which i like (been a Sennheiser owner for a number of years) or try something new with the Meze 109 Pro. The only problem i see with the Meze is the price in the UK. The HD660S2 can be bought new for £359, where the 109 Pro are double the price at £769. The £769 price of the 109 Pro is a bit of a gamble if I cannot audtion first.

I have both the hd650 and the hd660s2. The hd660s2 is waaaay better than the hd650/hd6xx. I now find the hd650 muddy,narrow and dark.

Have you burned them in? The treble and upper mid range really comes down after significant burn in, 80h+
