Liverpool have been interested and have been in discussions about zubimendi over 2 weeks now as per Fab, nothing quick about that as they’ve been told same as we got told when we asked, they want to renew his contract and keep him and they are offering him a new contract as per fab, he’s not verbally agreed anything with any club as he’s torn between staying and leaving, arsenal left discussions as a result as i’m sure arteta has said he wants players who want to come, most deals take a while and as per calafiori the clubs behind the scene had to agree the final sell on regardless of how quickly we moved that would have caused delays plus the players holiday… us fans are impatient and rightly so but we only hear about other clubs signings when they are done, we don’t follow the boring details week on week hence we think other deals are so quick all the time, calma… when we sign players we sign them

Say you want about Chelsea, but they’ve had a lot of lucrative sales which have allowed them to spend more freely.

My sons theory is that Zubimendi was backing himself to stay in La Liga and get a potential move to Barca. Now that clearly is not happening he’s open to more options on the table, hence Liverpool. Think it might just be a matter of timing.

Arteta plays N9 as a false 9, Saka as inside forward, DM as a 8', midfieler as LB (both Zinny and MLS), CB as LB/RB ( Ben White, Tomi, Kivior, probablly Timber& Calafiori as well).
He had strikers, but played Auba as a winger, Lacca as a false 9. Arsenal tried Auba as a nine, but he wasnt effective.
Also Arteta plays wide defenders as inverted midfielders, not up&down wingers.
Fans will always moan, especially those who stuck in 90's, 2000's 442 tactics.

@e.r4990 Arteta has taken a team in shambles and made them into title challenges. Alot of these players are performing because of Arteta. Where did Klopp finish in the league the past two seasons? What clubs has Zidane managed to prove his worth? Arteta lacked experience when he joined, but he does not lack passion and dedication to tactics. He has also created such a positive atmosphere at the club, if he left, a few players will follow. I get your point about players wanting trophies, and I want trophies but I'm not sure a reset with management is the answer. We nearly won it last year, behind the cheats. I would give him a few more years, he is creating a winning mentality so hopefully we see some silverware this season.
