I didn't care either in school. I learned it in online games(coz i have 10k hours only in 2 games: dota 2, cs:go, and more hours on other games), videos with subtitles, and translator lulz.
@Sivoziche More like no one cares because there's no implementation of the language in the everyday life. There should be reasons to learn it. Not just some abstract life goals. The fact of it being useful without understanding the way it can be useful doesn't give much extra motivation to learn it. Gaming might solve the problem partly.

@@emmanuelmx I live near the lake Baikal, we have an airport here, and ticket to Moskow was like 160$ (from my city to Moskow and back) 3 years ago I stayed in Moskow for 3 days, and I think that its not that expensive if you really want to save money. Like, there is a metro in Moskow and St Perersburg, 1 ticket is worth something like 1 or 2$ iirc, you can eat in fastfood restaurants, average lunch costs around 5$ basically its all that i remember abt Moskow lol, yes, there is a lot of sightsee and stuff, but I was there only for 3 days, so didnt visit that much places Then I went to the St Petersburg by a train, ticket cost ~40$. Well, for me Petersburg was almost alike with Moskow, but more beautiful since theres a lot of VERY old or famous buildings etc. The prices were no different from the Moskow, buut i can't remember how much the hotels costs It was a great experience overall, and cost like 600$, I think thats good for 10 day trip wrote almost all of this by myself, sooo there will be some mistakes, sorry. tried to practice english
if you can greet / say how are you in russian (eg, i say ''privet, kak dela?'') you gain a lot of respect from them... almost every russian i've encountered in CS when greeted in their native tongue become so friendly. russians are very friendly people, they don't have much -- so remember to show them some respect :)
