Sorry, Mets. Your historic 364 million dollar approach to buy a W.S. blew up in your face in an embarrassing fashion. Now Uncle Stevie is shifting to another approach of shoring up youth, developing players, drawing from the farm league. And this takes time. And Mets fans, although rightly dejected with how this year has been, are also outraged that 2024 is nowhere near being a contender but back in the pack and must fight tooth and nail with others who don't have the deep pockets of Uncle Stevie but also have taken the longview.
