    That's right, don't speak unless spoken to. And say as little as possible, not volunteering any information.

      Hi @charleswatts3810, thank you for your comment from a few years ago, and sorry for the tardy reply! You're right-it's often best to only answer the questions asked and not to volunteer extra information during the meeting. I hope this information can still help you or others preparing for their 341 Creditors Meeting. Best of luck!

    Thank You! Out of all the 341 prep videos I watched, yours was the one that helped the most. I didn't know it then, but after my 341 meeting, this video was the most realistic. Thanks

      I did use the services of a programmer called Michael Gibbs from Credit Patch Up LLC to get rid of bankruptcies and hard inquiries off my credit report and my score was also boosted to 790+ within few days. You can get to him via [Gibbs@creditPatchup.com] if you're in need of any credit help or advice.

    A lot of these questions are not asked in the 341 meeting and usually the meeting takes around 5 minutes

    What is considered a “payment” over $600 to someone else? Does paying someone else for bills count? For example, my boyfriend pays me about $650 a month for his half of the rent, I then pay the rent from my checking account. Would that count as a “payment” to someone or would that be considered a bill?

    • @Upsolve
      @Upsolve  24 дні тому

      Good question. This trips a lot of folks up. In the context of bankruptcy, a "payment" over $600 refers to any amount you pay directly to another person or entity. This includes paying off debts, giving gifts, or transferring money.
      In your case, your boyfriend's $650 for his half of the rent, which you then use to pay the landlord, is considered a shared household expense rather than a direct payment to another person.

    Hi … I have been unable to get to the court house to file my papers can I mail them?

    • @Upsolve
      @Upsolve  2 місяці тому

      Hi @dianedenard171, thanks for your question! Yes, in many cases, you can mail your bankruptcy papers to the courthouse. However, it's important to check with your local court to ensure they accept filings by mail and to get the correct mailing address and any specific instructions. Some courts may also offer electronic filing options. Best of luck with your filing!

    Thought it was 10 questions, not 20+!

    • @Upsolve
      @Upsolve  2 місяці тому

      Hi @sharkwhisperer7326, thanks for your comment! The number of questions can vary depending on the specifics of your case. The trustee typically asks about 10 to 20 questions to verify your information and ensure everything is in order. It's always a good idea to be prepared for a few extra questions just in case. Best of luck with your meeting!

    What if I answered no to all these questions..........do I qualify for bankruptcy?

    • @Upsolve
      @Upsolve  2 місяці тому

      Hi @billbeam9553, thanks for your question! I see you asked this a few years ago, but I hope this information can still be helpful to you or others. Answering "no" to all the questions doesn't automatically determine your eligibility for bankruptcy. Eligibility depends on various factors, including your income, debts, and financial situation. It's best to review the specific requirements for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, such as the means test, to see if you qualify. You can find more information here: upsolve.org/learn/chapter-7-means-test/. Best of luck!
