By the 7:00 mark, there are at least 5 highly questionable or debatable assertions. The first game is against a 1700 player, and I don't care how much of a Caro-Kann specialist he may be, I'd be extremely surprised if a player with that ratig understands the game well enough to play a solid example game. But, he actually plays the first opening moves well enough, illustrating one of the debatable assertions made about this opening. A good openings player will notice the similarity to 4 pawns attack of the Alekhine's defense with the major difference of the missing pawns... and the Black QB isn't trapped behind the pawn wall. If Black is familiar with the 4 pawn Alekhine's attack stratagems, he'll probably do really well here, invalidating White's position because fewer drawbacks in Black's structure and setup plus semi-open file has to outweigh the additional open lines for White with the missing f pawn. I expect the rest of the video is of like quality. I'll just leave it that Black should have no problems against White with almost any setup he chooses, and this may be an important consideration that White does not force Black in any way.
You wrote so much and said so little. You don't mention which assertions are debatable. You don't mention which stops are good for black. You only mention some opening but dont say much about it either.

same result either way. win the rook but its gonna cost you your knight and the pawn (+6-3-1= +2 material), or you take the knight and it only cost the one pawn(+3-1=+2 material)
Levy single handedly manipulating the 800-1500 meta
Levy-“I think king g2 might be the best move or king g3. Let’s go king e2” 20:51
I died laughing 😂

You're already better
You have a massive centre
You can chase the knight away
And black has no play...
Gotham with the rhymes ;)
Me as a barely 900 rated player when jackrankin played Nf6: "What a moron"
More like what an asshole. The fact that you're down a piece and positionally lost all game and you still don't resign against someone 800 points stronger than you is cowardly and bad sportsmanship. Levy can sugarcoat it all he wants by saying "instructional purposes" but he's just being nice because of his donations.
That’s why you’re still 900...
@@kys9611man you really gonna reply to multiple comments with the same hateful message with no basis, anyone should play out a game when you get the chance to play a much better player.
@@kys9611 that's the opposite of comwardly my guy. Play on and try and give yourself a chance. Resigning is the cowardly thing to do lol.
@@skyleryork3591 no its not lol. Playing down a piece all game is just cringe even for online chess. He was positionally lost and down a piece. He was even down on time I dont know what he was smoking but there was no way he would even draw this. Lol did you see hikaru's latest video, coincidetally he literally just said what im saying xd.
Levy I have a request for you.e4 c6 d4 d5 e5 Bf5 Bd3 Bg6 Bxg6 hxg6 e6.Please do more research and make a video on it!

he starts the vid by thanking the viewers for 400K subs, and 17 days later almost has 500K subs. Put up good content and they will subscribe. Now if only I could find that many beekeeping enthusiast ha! Awesome stuff, Levy.
The Caro-Kann is the scared man's Scandinavian defense
The Scandinavian is the fool's Caro-Kann Defense!
rewatching this video, IM -> GM Levy thanking the 400k subs with 5M in my screen, just amazing
Dude! Don't you start a tourney this Wednesday, "if you ever meet me a tournament" sounds a lot like baiting a stream sniper
Gotham:I dont have anything in my position that not guarded neither does my opponent.
The rook on a8:Am I a joke to you?
Best chess player.
Laughs in my dad he own microsoft and epic games
@@potatoaddict8192 ?

That "f3" move by your first opponent was nasty!!
F in the chat for those who bought Levy's Caro Kann opening course.
Congrats on 400K Levy
Caro players:
A d i o s
This is the fantasy variation where you play f3 in the Caro-Kann
*Faraway Finegold screams*
Game 1: Gotham plays f3 and opponent responds with Kf6
"See? The opponent's already blundered"
*Finegold screams intensify*
Some 20 moves later: Oh crap, the opponent had the brilliant tactic f3. I've basically lost.
*"Terrible"*
"You are two pawns up and the game is basically over"..maybe in your world..i like to mix it up with the botez gambit every time I'm basically wining
