That's exactly what I was going to say. If anzalone can play against Vikings that would be great but if they are the 5 seed but have a healthy anzalone I'm much less worried
It's a fucking miracle! They rated Goff not only in the high 80s, but above the opposing QB. Doesn't change the fact that their grading system is broken. You can hear it in their reaction to Goff's rating.
I'll never trust these rating again after the Thursday game against the pack. All night Kurt and Al kept talking about Pat O'Connor. He was wrecking the game consistently. Grade 33%, I said wtf game were they watching
The expectations for the Lions linebackers to execute is insanely high with the scheme that AG is running, even moreso when Anzalone went down as no one can reproduce his level of play, but the Lions whole mentality of not changing the gameplay on personnel is placing all of that expectation on Jack Campbell and he cannot do everything. If it fails I don't think I have seen enough bad play out of him to place a lot of blame there, it would have to unfortunately fall to AG on not adjusting, we will see next week against the Vikings, it will be a challenge.
I've never seen the Lions LB's bite on play action this much. It was so bad that I feel like it was a game plan thing. Like they bit for it every play.
SF was 50/50 balanced in the first half. They were great. Then, down by 2 scores, SF abandoned the run, actually throwing 10/16? straight passes; SF going one dimensional made it very easy on the Lion D, and it resulted in Purdy's 2nd Int on the 10th straight pass play. There's plenty of blame to throw at both D's, but Shanahan needs to just coach and get a play-caller.
@@stephensdygert7600 People keep leaving this out, making it seem like the 2nd half went different than it did. IDK if they're just hating, didn't watch the game, or just don't know/have never played football.
The old saw, 'defense wins championships' is not true. Hasn't been true with with just a few exceptions (Bears, Ravens...). Offense wins championships. Economics to the rescue! A study (you can do it, too) of the last twenty Superbowl winners demonstrates that the winning team has an offense in the top ten. Yes, they have a defense often in the top ten also, but the offense is typically ranked higher than their defense.
I’m really not sure what it is that makes professional analyst like you guys discount what the lions have done over the last 2 1/2 years there was no luck involved when he has drafted Starters in every round for the last three years there’s no luck involved in our office coordinator realize that he has a really good job and unfinished business with a really good team. Is it also possible that everyone is not cut out to be head coach and he is aware of that. Next time you doing your PFF grades, please explain to me why Jared golf is not at least number two in the MVP race every time he has a good game people talk about it as if it’s surprising because they decided that McVay traded him because he’s a bum. He clearly isn’t and deserves way more respect than he gets in the national media. When he was in LA it was he’s good because of McVay now he’s good because of Ben Johnson’s offense . What’s the common denominator?
I’m taking Jalen-Reeves Maybin off my depth, chart, out of my linebackers room. Yes the lions put him there because they have to put him somewhere, but he does not belong. Nor do any of our other warm body linebackers belong our linebacker room is only four deep: Alex Anzalone Jack Campbell Malcolm Rodriguez Derrick Barnes And two of them are out for the year. All the other warm bodies cannot cut it. The situation is almost as dire on the defensive line. Three of our starting four defensive lineman are out for the year. But we added a real starter with Za’Darius Smith and we do have some depth. The killer defensive statistic from the 49ers game is the red zone. The 49ers were five for five. Five touchdowns. Red zone efficiency was our defensive strength, and it is gone. Can we still win the Super Bowl? Of course! But our defense can only create chaos and hope for confusion. And hope that our offense almost never makes even a single mistake. The odds are dreadfully against us. I no longer expect us to make the Super Bowl, but I will hope and cheer my Lions on! It starts this week with Minnesota. Go Lions!!!
LOL! The Lions aren't lucky for how this team was assembled. They weren't "lucky" that Ben Johnson has stayed. What are you even talking about? You're galaxy braining the Lions right now, and I'm embarrassed for you.
What do you think Jameson Williams' ceiling is in this league?
If he improves this off-season as much as he did last off-season, dude is going to be a significantly faster Mike Evans.
Mars
Mike Evans?!? His game doesn’t resemble Mike Evans game at all
Top 5 wide out in the league. His speed puts fear into every defender on the field.

Alex Anzalone’s status and coming back from injury next week could really determine the season finale’s outcome
He should be back. Throw a huge cast/brace on it & let him try it out.
Yeah, he completely missed that AA is coming back and this was the first game JRM was back.
@@Mathlanta02 if Alex is back I'll be so stoked

Jack Campbell is a stud. The disrespect is embarrassing.
83.9 tackling grade for Campbell on the season!

Jack Campbell slander. He's the #25 PFF linebacker with a D-Line that gets absolutely no pressure. What else do you want from him?! 🤔
And without his all pro running mate.
It’s a shame Goff is such a bad QB outdoors
sarcasm?

They made it easy on Purdy early, for sure.
There was a few times I kept thinking "Is AG just not trying to show the Vikings anything?"
Maybe they were setting it up for the 2nd half interceptions 😂
The line backers came off the streets
The Lions have been one of the most fun teams to watch over the last couple of seasons.
So much fun!

SF last TD was junk time. The Lions basically shut down the run.

1 score in the second half outside of garbage time. Not to shabby for a bunch of practice squad guys.
Hey dalton. Nothing is stopping you from knowing that Anzalone is coming back. Used a lot of words to not even mention him
Hey guys love the show! Yall need more oversight on the graphics, there were several mistakes in the episode
Anzalone could be back this week. Germ was playing in his first game back.
Lions better get locked in for the Vikings.
