Kannaki is the epitome of sublimity, love, sacrifice, forgiveness, patience and revenge; all of which encompasses the Indian womanhood. But above all, she represented the sanctity of Indian women. In fact, 'Cilapatikaram' considered to be one of the supreme epics of the world, and its three dimensional structure, the fiery purity and sublimity, is all about Kannaki.
