It hasn't even been a year he's been in the job. It's been 7 months and there's been 3 instances of him being partisan already. He needs to go. Things like this are why Canadians have completely lost faith in our institutions, among the many other scandals of course.

I think he is absolutely too partisan for the job of speaker. At this point I am not sure the Liberal party has any MPs that would be suitable for the job. This government is a giant mess of corruption and incompetence and I have doubts that any of them could be objective and non-partisan. We need an election now! If MPs actually represented their constituents, we'd have a non-confidence motion pass. More Canadians want an election than those who don't which shows that our "representatives" in NDP and Liberal parties are not representing the needs and wishes of constituents.

The only constructive thing that can be done is for the opposition MPs to remain calm, watch their tone and minimize their yelling or laughing during question period. It's not nessecary, and actually works against them. Pierre is well articulated. He doesn't need to change his word choice too much, but he could work on his tone and demeanor aswell. He can be factual and reasonable, without the adversarial tone. Then he can actually appeal to Liberal/NDP voters for liking him as a person, and better unite the country. We NEED to get away from the high school vibes in the house of commons.
Regarding Fergus...I believe he will stay because it works in liberal favor to bait the opposition to become frustrated and act unprofessionally.
