Thats a bke built to work! I'd be putting schwalbe 2.15 pick ups on and perhaps shorten that bar legnth to about 650mm for weaving in an out of traffic perhaps even abit shorter. Oh yh and id go wide range 8speed with a 40t chainring. Cheaper chains and cassette etc good for a work bike.

You didn't tell us about that strap. The rest is obvious bike stuff, but properly securing stuff to bikes is as much of a craft.
