Can't wait to go back to Maui! My husband was born there and we haven't been able to go back in almost 5 years (we had a trip planned and cancelled in early quarantine). I'm glad I'm not the only one who does voiceovers when I want to watch something while crafting and recording. I need to try those gesso boards.

My fiance lived on the islands and his son was born their. Be careful going there because the locals can be hostile but not all. Everything is expensive. He still has friends who live there. It is very beautiful the weather is unpredictable and make sure you wear sunblock. Thank you for another great video!

I was in Maui during that fire. It was crazy! We got trapped in the opposite side of the island as our resort so one my sisters and brother-and-law hoped on the plane back home without their suitcases. And we were stuck until after midnight with 6 little kids. Half of us went to Aladdin (live action) until they opened the road back up and we were driving through embers... Grew up in the fire zone in LA and I have never experienced something like that.
The second painting is just breathtaking! I have always wanted to be able to paint or draw water like that, that look quite realistic and the more I watch you do these the more confident I feel about giving it a try! I'm new to paint though so maybe it would be easier in coloured pencil because I am used to those? I like that you use references to work from but it would be lovely to see the reference photo up next to the finished painting so we can see how close you kept to the colours/composition etc, what changes you made, and all that kind of thing. Obviously I mean as long as your friends/family etc aren't in them or anything like that.
I LOVE this channel I want to say thank you to Mira for sticking to your art. So many channels i used to follow that i started following for their art have changed oh so much lol and they like have started constantly open boxes or some other crazy nonsense lol. I could sit and watch you paint for hours! I have to admit -.- the kitty was my favorite too. purple glasses? Pfft that alone makes it a winner lol!
Lake Eerie was my favorite. The clouds are what made it come alive. It was beautiful but when those clouds started it was just like… WOW! You’re so talented. Don’t ever doubt yourself or using dark colors in the sky. It really made the painting what it is. 💕
I went to high school in the greater Erie Pa area and am quite familiar with the city of Erie and Presque Isle and you made the water so much prettier than it is. Also, if you go back go to Edinboro Pa(only 15-25 minutes away depending on where you are on Erie) to the Flip. It’s fantastic. There’s also a nice game store there called Gold Star.
I LOVE Downton Abbey! I’ve watched it through several times. The Dowager Countess is totally me in 40 years. Oh, and there’s a second movie coming out in March!

Ah I live in Erie, PA! That's awesome you got to experience Presque Isle, it's very popular for people here to take walks or bike rides there. And the sunsets are evidently beautiful, as your Lake Erie painting did it great justice! Love your art, Mira :)
I've lived in Hawaii for several years and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about it. When you were on Maui, did you visit Haleakala? I have several photos of looking down, through the clouds. It was fantastic being there. I'd never been so "high" in my life. 🙂

Just love ❤️ your amazing little paintings I did something Similar you get a larger square and you make a window you could put it down the side which I did and then the rest are divided into two so it’s like three paintings that I did and it turned out beautiful just did scenes of trees and flowers and really enjoyed it and have enjoyed your tutorial tonight xx love love love it xx

Really glad I watched this, even though it's midnight, I wouldn't have ended up digitally painting a (dare I say) gorgeous sunset had I not clicked. :D I looked at your water painting and was like "I want to make something similar digitally" and somehow ended up with sunset, but that's okay!

Miranda, so many lovely paintings! I really like the Ampersand boards! They even have a line of watercolor boards! You can paint on them without stretching them as the “paper” is attached to the substrate and it works so well with any water heavy mediums! Inks, gouache even acrylics that are very watery! I know how you felt when going into a sky that looks good and adding clouds or birds can be so stressful! You completely made it better! Clouds are so tricky and I have ruined more than a few paintings over the years, I gotta commend your bravery! I have had to place a moratorium on ordering or buying new artworks, I have to sell or giveaway to make room because our house is filling up and there is no place to hang or even store more paintings! :::::sigh::::: well hopefully you will continue to sell your art and original paintings and you can put off making that decision for a few years. Please take care of yourself and be safe! We know that if you miss an upload of a video you are simply making it better or even taking time for yourself! You are loved and appreciated beyond words, thank you.
