Friends, today we will talk about upcoming expressway mega-projects in India that we will see in the coming years. Also, some of the expressways that are soon to be completed. This list includes several expressways that are under construction, some of which have already been approved by the BS and some whose DPRs are ready.

Freight transfer of India happen on expressways which run the economy not in bullet trains. Expressways are not cars it's for truckers. How many in india can afford bullet train ? Are all VB run fully booked ?

All these infrastructural projects need to be put in Top Gear now so that maximum could be finished by 2029 before the next LS Elections.
Given the evolving Political Scenario developing across the Country this 5 Years will be the last when large scale Infrastructural projects could be seen. Post 2029, India may not witness much infrastructural development activity happening for long time to come.

Yes, no expressway in northeast... Bharmaputra valley..Gawhati area, Barak valley.... Silchar area , Manipur valley... Imphal area.. Meghalaya.. Shillong area.. This four area should be connect with expressway.... For development of northeast India... Every state capital should be connect expressway each other ... Only development will be fast... We need tunnel... Bridge... Which china is constructed at mountain area of its province....
Northeast barely got highways constructed in the last 10 years. Just give it a time. Government also needs to focus where there is economic growth prospects. Rest of India didn’t have more than single very very few expressways until 2014 either. Patience my friend.

70% of expressways are in Gujarat, UP and Maharashtra only. Very good job by government in doing all round development of India. Rest of the states don't have economy neither their people need development.
There's a criteria for highways to be upgraded into expressways. Only if there's a certain level of PCU (Passenger Car Units) an expressway is profitable.
East & NE India simply doesn't have enough traffic.
Kerala & TN don't want expressways. They love their greenery so much 😂.
So that means North, West India, KA, TL, AP are eligible and want expressways. And that's where these projects will logically go.

There are many expressway under DPR phase, land acquisition phase in Kerala, Palakkad- Kozhikkod, Angamaly - Thiruvananthapuram , Angalmaly - Eranakulam, Kochi-Teni, Kollam - Tenkashi, Thiruvananthapuram bypass.
