I absolutely love this badass video I was a kid and got cd 💿 played the video on my pc and was like wtf is this never seen anything like it and loved it! Art , dark, futuristic loved it & what a tune
shagooyle? on the front of the apron? Okay, so this is obviously directed by....someone.... these images are so familiar and obvious to those who know. I cannot say I like the video. The use of creativity is great. There is a lot of pudendal/yonic imagery but its inverted and devoid of love and empathy. Is the white rabbit representative of Timbaland and playing his character? Its all very 'alien'. (Edit: "Phagooyle"... not shagooyle. I thought it said Gargoyle. ) Maybe Phagooyle is really the code word. "Phag" in Greek means "to eat/ingest/deovur".
If you were to go solo after being in one of the worlds biggest bands ever and released your very first solo song...why the hell would you NOT be in it, but say yes to an ugly, creepy, stupid cartoon looking video thing? No wonder they had to make a second version, which, by the way was just as shit but had a cameo from mini me so people wanted to watch it! What was Mel B and her management team even thinking!
For what I heard, she was heavily pregnant when the music video was made which is why the only parts we can see of her is her face, the single was recorded in November 1998 and she gave birth on February 1999. And the second video was made at a similar time that promo for Austin Powers 2 was being made, which is close to spring 1999 since the movie was released that summer. And her first single was "I want you back" with Missy Elliott. But I see your point... The concept of the video was quite intense, I guess they wanted her image to have a huge distance from the Spice Girls image. I think this video has similar concepts to the "I Want You Back" video. Quite out of this world feel.
production is tinny. goth pop video? neither video versions make sense, let alone how much money spent on them. spice girls sounded good because all their vocals assisted each other. notice they are have a bit of a problem as a solo artist. I'm not hating. i am in an independent label owner/artist.. just talking as an artist standpoint, she is a survivor.

That’s scary 🖤
hell no this song was cameo first, my moms played this all the time
i prefer version 2... mostly cos' there's Mini-Me, but still! :)
Nobody has made a better version than the Original Cameos. Which usually is the intent but NO SHOT. Yet..........I'll make a better one soon!
why no HD version anywhere?
I uploaded a 480p-resolution video on my channel. Not HD, but there's no higher version than this :-)
@@DryadChronicles can't make into 4k?
Sorry but Cameo did it first. It was there song. Larry Blackmon and the crew.
directed by the ex husband ?
this song - 1986 OK ¬¬
@bregowine and exactly that is what pisses me off...
i dont understand what i just watched......
I don't understand why they commissioned Mel B to sing this song for Austin Powers soundtrack and who thought this video would be a good idea.
This video was not the one made for movie promotion tho
