@@kaladwarakanath5503That is true. I cared for a newborn baby that was taking the bottle ( with breast milk) during the day while his mommy was working and at night she breastfed. They moved but asked me to go with them for the first month. His mommy wasn’t working so she just breastfed. I told her not to stop the bottle but she did and when they decided to take advantage of the fact that I was living with them for that month and decided to go away for the weekend, I told them that he hasn’t had a bottle and they said, “If he’s hungry he will take the bottle”. Not true. He refused. He was already 6 months at this time.
This is why you need to give the baby a bottle ever so often even while breast feeding. If something happens where you are too ill or for some reason someone else has to feed them they will accept it easily. And yes, hold the baby next to you as if breast feeding and use bottles with shorter nipples more similar to breast. It works and it will be a blessing if needed. It also let's mom go out some times for her sanity. 😊
Lol they do! Several companies make them 😊Actually this *shape* is pretty good for breastfed babies learning to take a bottle, but this particular one does look maybe a bit too firm for him. An *extra* low-flow nipple is good for these babes, and then they can treat the whole top and nipple like they would a breast's areola and nipple; with the extra low-flo bottle nips, you can let them take more of the curved part of the nipple/top into their mouths, making it more like the boob. In a pretty short time thereafter, they take less and less of the "areola" into their mouths, learning to just suck the bottle nipple only. When that happens, switch to regular lo-flo nipples, and then progress to hi-flo as hungry baby grows!
I am absolutely elated seeing a comment that actually makes sense!! This is typical of exclusively breastfed babies. Mom is likely preparing to go back to work, and starting early with bottles to get her used to it.
The baby needs to be embraced and held in her arms as if he was going to be nursed. He would probably be more inclined to take the bottle if it felt like he was really at the breast. Just coming straight on him with a rubber nipple is not something he can comprehend.
You have to hold the bottle upright, so thatthenipple is full of milk. The way you're holding the bottle is requiring the baby to have to work too hard, and causing the intake of excess air. There will be lots of tummy pain, more spitting up, and difficult bowel movements.
There is a huge difference between feeding from a bottle and feeding from the breast. When breastfeeding the baby compresses the mother’s nipple with her/his tongue against the roof of the mouth. With bottle feeding the baby has to suck which requires use of the mouth muscles rather than the tongue.
Watching this little sweetheart learn to take a bottle is so heartwarming. Baby is not too hungry to completely reject it. Congrats on your beautiful and alert baby, so curious about its new world.
I’m not sure if I commented here before or not. I don’t know if this baby had been strictly breastfed prior to this, but like others have said, he may not have been hungry. When I had my son over 28 years ago I was told by the nurses that he had to be either strictly breastfed or strictly bottle fed. He caught on to breastfeeding like a champ, but when we got home from the hospital, I occasionally bottle fed him. He had a terrible time trying to get his mouth around the bottle nipple. So, I found bottle nipples that were “ergonomically correct,” although they looked nothing like a natural nipple. Thank goodness I found them because he caught on in a split second.
It could be a number of reasons, perhaps the milk is cold, or the baby isn't hungry, or the baby just needs to be cuddled up in Mummy's arm to feel safe and secure.!!
I thought it was normal to hold a small baby like this for feeding the bottle. I never knew any other way. Anyway this baby looks like it's full already.
He isn't hungry. He is like blah blah what are you doing. I just ate. Most people feed baby on back when switching to bottle. Wrong! Put in similar position as when nursing. On their side close to you.

she could have at least put milk on the end of the nipple so the baby might get interested. I agree that it just made me very anxious to watch this. Sometimes, it appears that the baby thinks it will choke from so much being put in its mouth without knowing why.
Should have at least held baby at the breast, in his normal eating position. He didn’t know what the hell that rubber thing was that the woman was shoving in his mouth. And different tasting liquid. Eating/breastfeeding, for baby, is also about being close, and bonding with mother. There’s none of that here- nothing more than shoving a nipple in baby’s mouth. You can tell he didn’t like it. But, he was hungry, so he took it.

Poor baby…..just wants the soft warm nipple and warm milk that he or she is used to.
I think they are both doing a great job for the first time 😊
Hold baby in your arms like you used to, then give bottle.
This video makes me laugh each time l watch it, l can imagine the baby thinking what the heck is this not going to happen mum ❤
This sweet baby seemed so calm. I wonder if she was hungry. Maybe should wait till hungry to introduce bottle.
Aw sweet baby . It's a good time to try when baby isn't starving, it's the texture and taste of the bottle nipple he is not used to . Little love just needs a bit of time. change is strange
Omg!! He's not hungry get the hint ding a ling!!
What an adorable, sweet little baby OMG!! Good first try Mama!
I just feel very sorry for the baby 😢
He's opening his mouth so wide at times trying to get a good "latch" on the bottle. He will learn.😊
I can't believe how smart this baby is. I would love to see a picture of him now. I bet he's into everything.
How can you call a lump that just lays there smart?
@@carriewhite423how many lumps have you had none I hope it’s a newborn baby taking in their surroundings not a lump
I agree. Let the little guy be free to move around. He did start to drink from bottle though. Thats great!
She should be holding him and nurturing not just pointing it at his mouth.
o BB ñ quer mamadeira, tira os bracinhos dele desses panos, pra q fazer isso
Baby looking like...This is so ridiculous. Leave me alone until I start crying. And get me out of this contraption.
I wonder if their mouth, gums ECT get sore from force feeds
You want me to do what? I think baby isn't hungry. Lol so cute!
Beautiful baby but doesn’t seem like he’s hungry.
Get it the baby isn't hungry come on man
The way he looks at his mommy. With his eyes he's saying "Why we doing it this way" where's my CheChe.
...why can't I move my arms, hold me in your arms please!
This poor baby, she's forcing him to drink obviously he doesn't like it. How would you like it.
That baby is the least bit hungry
Whatever happened to contact between mother and baby, and why is the baby all bundled up so it can’t move?
That baby looks like he's saying, why are you doing this to me? Lol!
Beautiful baby
Omgosh that little milk mug!! Soosweet.
Aw that baby is gorgeous bless.
Uncomfortable. Swaddled. Forced feeding.
My thoughts immediately!!
Pensé lo mismo @@dkallanson9521
Who asked you?
What right for 1 baby isn't necessarily right for another. As a preschool teacher I know several babies who prefer to eat swaddled. But yall know everything😅😅😅😅 myob, gtfo, stfu
@@amandataylor9653 How rude!!
He's not even hungry !
I agree. Seems like he was trying to poop
@@desireepadayachee1 lol yeah
I think he is a She!!! Has pink on underneath the blanket!!
He's not hungry and your not holding him properly and loosen the blanket they don't like swaddling when feeding
I can't believe a mother would leave a baby lying swaddled, can't even move, for his first bottle feeding! Helz belz...😮
A baby needs to move...mom wtf 😩
He's obviously not hungry. And why do you have the baby swaddled well feeding
It doesn't feel right, it will take some.adjusting to the bottle. This baby is so clever
Il serait plus heureux dans les bras de sa mère pour boire son biberon , et surtout les bras libres 😢
He's fighting the bottle but his hunger is winning.
I have 6 grown children, and they were babies I held everyone of them. Morning noon and 3am feedings.
So cute! Is he used to breast? Is that why he’s annoyed about this? 💙
Baby's like "something ain't right here!"
