Considering the wear on mine, which I brought 1 - 1/2 years ago, I would say good. I cannot see any wear on mine to date. The red is still completely unworn to my eye. When you press the button, the rubber doesn't have to move much either.

Ah, yes, I have heard the F1R drops it's lumens on 1000 as well. I haven't noticed a distinctive drop off in brightness, but I think it does drop off a little. It doesn't bother me at. If you're looking at a distance continuously, this could be a problem, but the F1R isn't really designed for that. Thanks for you nice comments; It will motivate me to make more.
