This was a fun one for sure. It can be intimidating sometimes not knowing what spacers to use, especially with odd shaped beads. But have fun with the creative process, try different things.. Etc.. 😜 Thx ladies for sharing your space with us, I luv our Beading community here on the tube💞 Happy Creating! Artbeads u rock! 💜
Demi-rounds have completely ignited my creativity. I have been a gemstone only designer, but the "Bronze Age" design in your gallery, using demirounds as spacers with 4mm glass beads just lit me up. I ordered a ton of the demi-rounds and have been doing combos of those as spacers in the spirit of the Bronze age design that have been so much fun! They are also more affordable as spacers, as they bring the metallic "frame" to the beads, but have a glass price point. Thank you both!
I enjoyed listening to you both free-form designing. I wish you had an overhead camera that could show closeups because I can't see what you are doing even on my laptop.
Thank you for this tutorial. I've been looking at the beautiful Spacers available, but have been confused as to where/which to use. Thanks for the help :)
You two are so funny.. ooohing and ahhhing over all the pretties.! You sound like me when I go to the bead store. There's just too much pretty stuff!! When I go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby, if I don't make a list of exactly what I want, I'll come home with $100 worth of beads that I don't need.. LOL Oh, by the way, I love that bracelet you have on, Cynthia!
This is probably a jewelry no-no but I qaa gifted silver skull beads and you string them on vertically. Top of head to bottom of jaw. I am not a fan of this and I would really like to string them on horizontally and use them as spacers. I know I can buy them with horizontal holes, but let's say that I can't. Is there a trick that you can recommend so I can uae them this way? I wanted to keep everything on one string, but Im sure Im going to have to weave them somehow. Any advice you have will help.
Hi Judy. Thank you for your feedback. We also have links to tutorials for these designs in the video description that include more up-close pictures of the designs. Thanks!

This was fun, watching both of you design on the fly--Lots of good info about using spacers. Thanks for sharing with us.
I love using spacers. There are so many beautiful ones.

Cynthia, I love the necklace that you have on in this video. Is there a kit or instruction to make it on Artbeads.com
Yes, Pamela! You can find it here: www.artbeads.com/design-studio/sea-storm-blue-impression-jasper-gemstone-necklace/
Great tutorial
But camera needs to zoom in so people can see the beads and design
