- Jethro Tull Thick As A Brick from my super 8mm films overdubbed with my audio recordings. Filmed at:
New York Shea Stadium July 23, 1976
Detroit Pontiac Silverdome July 25
Cleveland Richfield Coliseum Aug 3
St. Louis Kiel Auditorium Aug 7
Not the TAAB tour but instead the TOTRARTYTD tour.
My first concert "Thick As A Brick " Summer Tour 1976 !!!! July 19 1976 at the Spectrum :)
This tour was my 1st Tull show, July 76 in Atlanta at the old Omni. They didnt have the Tullavision though, Glascock had a white hat on at that one, and Ian brought his guitar out in a baby carriage. One of the best shows ever
I saw Tullavision twice on that tour - NY and Detroit
My first concert . 15 years old at the Pontiac Silverdome. Life altering !!! thank you for the awesome post!
You are welcome 🙏
The following includes a short silent movie of Jethro Tull at Shea Stadium, unfortunately filmed from far away. Now there is one youtube link, from which you can get to all of my synced and unsynced 1970's rock music movies. (Be sure to click on "show more"). Thanks to Adam at genesismuseum.com for scanning the movies in HD, creating this youtube link, and adding all the links there to the movies! The hope is this will lead to more folks helping to sync sound to the movies that remain silent. ua-cam.com/video/m6BXIBSi1nQ/v-deo.html
Hi Jethro Tull, I have a couple questions you may be able to help me with. I have a short ( less than 2 minute) silent 8mm movie of Jethro Tull at Shea Stadium. Does audio exist for the whole show? Does audio exist for Robin Trower's set? (I have a less-than-3-minute movie of him as well) The movies are a series of short clips, and they are filmed from far away (not from on the field, but from the 1st or 2nd row of seats next to the field). Far enough away that I think it would be hard to sync audio to the movies. But if you'd like to try syncing, that would be great! Another person has the files of the movies, and plans to post them on youtube soon. When they are posted, I'll let you know. thanx, - Barry
Hi Barry - yes there is a bootleg audio recording. You might want to communicate with UA-cam account Tulltapes - I think he might be able to help you
@@jethrotullcollection8446 Thank you for your help!
Great upload, thank you!
Real Tull Gem...Amazing! Thanks for posting!
Saw this at LA Coliseum 80,000 + >Tull A Vision < Not many videos of the big screen TV out there. Only one i've seen ! Thank You!
Saw this tour at the former home of the New York Mets Shea Stadium . As Ian come out of the dugout on his way to the stage someone poured urine on him . After the concert Ian said "for the next two hours I smelled like urine".
You need to re-upload this, it's 52 minutes long while it actually ends at 15:35.
Thank you - I deleted the silent end of the video
Was at Shea for this. I remember feeling the stadium seats vibrating when they played Locomotive Breath. Robin Trower came on first.
actually i think it was rory gallagher, then robin trower
i was here. just turned 15. friend's mom bought us the tickets. we took the Q27 bus to shea--others from our area did as well--and we were all singing 'locomotive breath' on the way...
I was at shea stadium with robin trower and ian. I remember him complaining about laquadia air traffic as I remember the problem with the mets
*Tull-evision* This was an awesome concert. We were directly across from the stage, so had a great view of the whole show, thanks to the 'Tull-evision' screens. So glad you uploaded it. :-)
Awesome !! I was lucky to be there for the Shea Stadium, NY part w Tullavision.
Sweet stuff!
Nice tour, saw them at Memorial stadium in LA. Thanks
Oh man!! Thank you. I'm back at the concerts
