SVS SB13-Ultra Review

Hi! Sorry, I had forgotten to include that this video is part of a larger review, and I just updated the description with the link. The review mentions this, but IMO, the SB13-Ultra compares very well with the PC13-Ultra in performance. According to Ed Mullen at SVS, the PC13 will have a higher output level, but in my room (about 3800 ft³) and with my listening habits, I couldn't tell a difference between the two. I was highly impressed by the new SB13.
The PB and The PC are the closest. One for Ported Box and one for Ported Cylinder. But you can think the sealed one is closest if you want.

Love your intro. I saw some large freight truck in front of my place wondering what it was when I realized that was my new PB 13 Ultra arriving. After my Son and Daughter this was my next best arrival. Since then movies were never the same. Neither were my bone structure and the joists in my house.
I have 2 svs pc-2000 I am moving my home theater to a bigger space 14x24 my buddy is selling his pc13 ultra should I buy it and place it in the middle rear of my room behind the second row of seating
I work for FedEx. We fired that guy for showing up in a UPS outfit.
He is like a allen on 2 and a half men ,,but twice as geeky.
That's useless. No comments about the sound from either so what's the point ?????

Im trying to find a sub to go with my b&w 683s. Price range goes up to around 700 for me. Can anybody suggest?

they need to breathe ! and will sound so different too !
+C815richard I hear ya! That's where they fit into the room the best, though. They still sound very good, at least to me. I've gone through and done the PEQ on both of them to get them dialed in fairly well.
Hi. Sorry, but I have no experience with the ED sub. The only thing that I can say is that the SB13-Ultra is much smaller than the ED. There might be people at forums for Audioholics (who helped sponsor this contest) or AVS that could help you with comparing the performance of the two.
Right... But how does it compare to the PC-13 Ultra in performance? I currently have a PB-13 Ultra with the new sledge amp and I'm thinking about either getting another one or getting a closed box to complement it.
I agree. Luckily, I rarely need to change anything on the menu, but when I do - it's difficult. I have it placed in a corner with very little room to maneuver, and using a handheld mirror is required to see the screen.
The LED control screen is horribly placed on this sub. They should have gone with an RW-12d style.
actually you can let the subwoofer with the speaker turned to the wall the bass is better believe me it and it works also with a ported subwoofer
o man i want a sub like that just to piss off my dad when he watches a vid my bed shakes of the sub
put it to a damn test! preffered a bass test song like bassotronics bass i love you or basslight sonata
well digital menu is stupidly placed in the back of the sub... u have to turn it around
