Atlanta is huge with many districts and neighborhoods that have a nice cluster of mid/high rise buildings. Downtown and midtown use to have a gap between them, but so much construction is happening in Midtown that the gap has filled in. At one point there was so much construction in midtown Atlanta, there was a building crane shortage. There is also Buckhead, North Perimeter Center/Sandy Springs, Cobb/Marietta, Coca-Cola campus, ATL airport, and a few more.
That view of Pittsburgh looking at the point of confluence of the 3 rivers is very similar looking to viewing Manhattan from the lower bay ,as on the Staten Island ferry
That little triangular park in Pittsburgh (Point State Park) actually has the footprint/remains of the original French and British forts that were erected there, which tells you that the confluence has always been roughly that shape, at least.
As a Chicago native I'm not surprised to see that Chicago is in the top 2....but it is always #1 to me! As the song says, "My kind of town, Chicago is!"
The space needle was built before the cn tower and the top rotates 360 once every 45 minutes. A couple years ago they put in glass floors so it’s the only rotating glass floored structure in the world
Growing up in Houston, I thought we had tall skyscrapers, and we do BUT then I visited New York and it is on a totally different level. It is absolutely AMAZING. My first visit was back in 2000, so the World Trade Center buildings were still there, absolutely impressive. Everything was just so tall, dense and amazing! Flying into the city and looking out the airplane window, I was in awe. 21 years old and my first time seeing what I've only seen on TV was quite special. I haven't been back since they've completed One World Trade Center, but I can't wait to visit NYC again!
Ive got to say throughout watching all these reactions i really really appreciate G and Darrens knowledge and experience when it come to the US because theyre able to give Sophie and Aidan a better understanding of some things here and there or can sometimes answer their questions. It adds so much to the videos that other reaction channels simply just dont have and i love it. Keep up the videos :)
In Dallas that ball is actually a restaurant and it’s gorgeous at nighttime. it’s lit up kinda like the New York New Year’s Eve ball and has lights that come out of it that flash around the city. It’s a beautiful inside also
Hi 👋🏽 from Dallas Tx. The building with the ball on top is called Reunion Tower, they do tours where you can go up and you have a 360 view of Dallas. There is also a restaurant in the tower and it rotates all the way around so you have the view constantly changing as it rotates. 16:41
Chicago also goes underground with the pedway. I could get on the subway, exit underground, walk several blocks in the Pedway, enter my office building and never step outside until I exited the subway on the way home. I typically preferred to be outside, but in extreme weather, it was a nice option to have!
Cincinnati is on the list! 😊I can’t believe how much the river front view has changed since I was a child. Some buildings have been torn down and new ones have gone up.
Cincinnati looks much classier than when I lived there back in the 70s. But there's still a lot of the beautiful old German style brickwork spread around downtown.
They're both Atlanta, however the skyscrapers in the foreground is called Buckhead, it's an area with condo's/apartments, shopping center and restaurants. There is a spaghetti junction in Atlanta GA. We live in the Las Vegas area, it's beautiful at night

Love San Diego skyline really nice at night. The Atlanta was in the background Buckhead which is near by was the one closes to the view. Honolulu does have a great skyline day or night.
the Ball in the Dallas Sky Line is called "Reunion Tower" there used to be an Arena next to it but it was torn down and replaced by another Venue called Airline Arena, it's where the Dallas Stars (Hockey) and Dallas Maverick (Basketball) play their home games
Atlanta's skyline is spread out because the skyscrapers were built around alot of historic areas that weren't going to be torn down. Margaret Mitchell (author of gone with the wind) was born in Atlanta and her house was turned into museum. So if you're driving in midtown, you'll pass a bunch of sky scraper and then you happen upon a random 100 year house. Downtown also has 5 colleges, The Martin Luther King historic district and Coca Cola offices.

Having lived in Manhattan for most of my life I can say that it didn't matter that it was twenty years I had been living there I still got goosebumps every time I drove home from work from Queens into Manhattan just looking at three skyline. As selfish as it seems, after 9/11, I remember feeling sad that it'd be changed so drastically. In fact after the first tower fell I thought how strange it'd look with just one tower.
San Diego skyline at night is beautiful. Especially going across over the Coronado bridge. When I was a very young kid the teachers would occasionally take us out of class during the spring and summer, we would go to a big area of grass on the school grounds and we would lay on the grass and look at the huge puffy clouds and try to find interesting things we could see in the clouds, nice memories for a 7-9 year old.

I think the current look suits the city very well. We don't need more people living downtown in high rise condos clogging the streets with more traffic than we already have. I would be happy to see no more building around Petco Park, the Gaslamp Quarter, Seaport Village, the Convention Center and Harbor Dr. If any new skyscrapers are built I would hope they would be built in the center of town in the business district since many people commute to downtown on public transportation and then leave at the end of the day. Myself, included. Wishful thinking. I'm sure. lol.
Mark 16:38. Two friends and I made the long road trip to "Six Flags Over Texas" and we arrived there while it was sunny but left while it was dark. So we got to see the Dallas Skyline. The "Dodge Microphone" did he call it? I don't think it was there yet. It was the early 1990s, if not the late 1980s. 🤔 We saw the ones outlined in green! We were reminded of "The Emerald City" and the movie "TRON"! 😎
Reunion Tower opened in 1978. However, it didn’t start really looking like the pictures they showed until the 1990’s from what I remember growing up there. All through the 80’s it was just white lights. Now it is super cool LED lights how that changes with seasons/sports events/ etc. Dallas has a very memorable skyline from all angles, but Reunion Tower is in the Southwest corner of downtown and that vantage point seems to be the one most photographers choose
Hey guys, I'm a Houston native, yes Houston does have an under ground urban center, shops & restaurants, it continues to grow,, Houston also has a med center with tall buildings & Greenway area with more sky scrapers, it is an area of uptown shopping.😊
I'll take Chicago because its Skyline is well balanced compared to New York City. As for Miami being ranked at #16 is an insult! It has the the most Skyscrapers in the US after NYC & Chicago.
Houstonian here. I work in downtown. Yes, the Tunnels are, in fact, for pedestrians. And they are meant for the heat and heavy rain we receive. But there isn't much there. Just a few food chains, barber shops, dentist shops
Atlanta is by far my favorite skyline and I've been to LA, NYC, Miami, Dallas, etc. I think the reason is the opposite of what he said, he doesn't think it's nice because of the sprawl of how they're all gapped. Which to be fair they're filling all that in now a lot. It's just so unique. You can literally see a picture that makes it look small and then another that makes it look so large. Oh and btw. that "seperate city" is Buckhead, and it apart of Atlanta, it's kind of like Beverly Hills is to LA. It's a lot of rich condos and lots of rappers, rich people and celebs own condos there. It really does look like another city though, it's pretty big.

I live and work in Manhattan and get off the subway at Columbus Circle, I'm constantly amazed at the buildings on "Billionaires Row". There's one residential tower that's 472M high. But you're right about where they can build and they are tearing down a lot of older buildings for the new ones. They've also starting building up Queens and Brooklyn and along the Hudson river on the New Jersey side..;)
I live in Charleston, South Carolina which was established in 1670 (making it one of America's oldest cities, but still an infant by European standards). Because the historical skyline is so iconic and beautiful, affording most of the city views of Charleston Harbor, the Architectural Review Board has always limited buildings to being no taller than the tallest Church steeple. Thus the tallest building is only 18 stories, and even it is an anomaly.

Actually, the DFW-Arlington metropolitan area aka the Metroplex, is the 4th largest metropolitan area in the US with a population of 7,759,615. Dallas has a network of tunnels beneath the downtown area as well. The "microphone" is the Reunion Tower, a part of the Dallas Hyatt Regency Hotel. It has a revolving restaurant along with an observation deck. It also has a lighting system that flashes around the ball and they can change the colors and designs to observe holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, special events such as Texas/OU weekend (a fabled college football rivalry that happens annually during the State Fair in Dallas), or if a local team goes into a championship series they will flash the team logo in tribute. It's goofy looking, but really cool! You have to see it in person to appreciate it.

The picture of Calgary AB you guys were wondering why the shoreline of the river looked like rapids.. That was ice! Canada gets cold alot of our rivers and sometimes even our lakes freeze over during winter months.
Mark 13:38. Hey, serendipity! Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, also has an underground system for pedestrians! You can even go shopping in it. Maybe even dining! At one part, I entered it because while Dad was being examined by medical people, I went looking for the cafeteria, but I found one of the underground corridors instead. It is not all gray and dingy like he seems to be thinking. It was shades of beige and tan, well lit, carpeted, and it had good air flow. I stopped somewhere in the middle when I saw how the other end was and that it was just as far away as where I had entered. The gentle slopes cause visual confusion. So I didn't appease my curiosity then. By the time I made it back, they were done with him, so no cafeteria visit for me. (I enjoy comparing cafeterias to each other.) One time, Dad was shopping for work supplies. We parked inside a big building made for parking in. We used street crosswalks, but we also used enclosed bridges that connect some buildings, elevators, and underground passages. The bridges are like hallways with windows. The passages look like very long hallways without windows unless they are office or shop windows. 😎
The Space Needle in Seattle was built in 1962 for the World's Fair. It was the first of the tower-type structures in the world but now has been surpassed by all the others in heighth.The observation deck is glass-floored and makes 1-360 degree rotation every hour. spectacular views.
I think a lot of cities were first established on rivers, because before railroads, that's how goods were transported. West of the Mississippi river you see less cities on rivers because when more people started moving west is when the railroad was built.
The Bow River flows through Calgary. It is glacier fed and drops about 4,000 feet over 350 miles. This results in a fast flow and there are several river rafting businesses that operate along the Bow (I rafted on the Bow River out of Kananaskis in 1983 - the water is freezing even in July). It is unlikely that a boat just went by since the river is not deep. Most places it is shallow enough to stand, but the speed of the water flow makes it very difficult.
Yes, Houston has a massive underground tunnel system filled with shops and restaurants. It's to escape the heat and they are quite nice. Minneapolis has a similar system, but it's sky bridges from building to building and the second floor of every building has shops and restaurants. It's to escape the extreme cold. Lol

There are in fact air condition tunnels in the business district of downtown Houston so that the suits can travel around on foot and temperature controlled areas that have stores and restaurants. I think there are over a mile of pedestrian paths in the city all connected together. Montreal has similar underground areas to keep out of the cold. Minneapolis has pedestrian sky bridges enclosed to connect buildings one to another as well as some other cities in the Midwest cold winter zone.
Downtown Atlanta has the pedestrian sky bridges too. Some connect the hotels to each other, but most are for offices. There are 2 mid rise buildings on Ted Turner Dr. next to the tall rounded Westin tower that have at least 7 sky bridges crossing over 1 street block.
That's all Atlanta, Houston is like that too. Houston has Downtown, the Galleria area and the Energy corridor all with large buildings. And Houston and Atlanta both have tunnels under Downtown with shops, restaurants and clubs. A whole nightlife underground.
Last time I was in Vegas it was 107 by noon. Walking down the strip you’d just have this strong hot and dry wind blasting untouched in the face. Felt like sticking your head out of the car window while going down the freeway.
Yes….Atlanta basically has two clusters of skylines…..the downtown/ midtown large stretched out MAIN skyline-look at the posters for Walking Dead…..the shot of all the cars trying to leave the city next to the empty interstate with only Rick Grimes on a horse approaching the city, that’s Midtown/ Downtown area-while Buckhead is the secondary skyline just north of downtown…..
For the most interesting new building in New York look up The Vessel in Hudson Yards. Some people hate it but it's an extraodinary looking structure. Unfortunately it has been closed repeatedly because multiple people have gone there to to leap to their death.

To answer your question, yes the sky is really that blue a lot of the time in San Diego. I currently live in Huntington Beach (outside LA) and the weather here is really hard to beat, 50's in the winter and usually not more than mid 80's in the summer. It can go days or months without rain also, which is really starting to concern me in our regards to move to Wales. If it rains a couple days in a row here we can get real cranky.

I may have had it. 🤔 Well, anyway, Houston is one of the grand prix race courses. One day, some years ago, my father and I helped a friend move back to her parents. The route we used took us through one of the downtown areas. She pointed out how it is so big that it has two downtowns! But what I noticed, that they did not, as they don't play video games, was how many other drivers did! 🙄 I even saw a motorcyclist recreating moves from the game to get through the traffic! It was eerie! But now I know why the city was included in the game! 😎 By the way. My brother once had a car that was used in the game. I got to drive it. So, I was able to compare the real car to the game car. It was a sporty, compact car. Sadly, I never got to drive one of his "Ford Mustang" cars. He didn't have them at the same time! 😐

At the lower right corner are their famous aquariums! 😎 By the way, when you play the PC game "Sim City" you can impress your citizens when you "relocate" a landmark building such as the aquariums from Chicago to your city! Even more so if it is from another nation like China, when you place their "Bank of China" skyscraper in your city. I usually make it a neighbor to the "Bank of America Building"! 🇺🇸
Houston's tunnel system connect all the downtown skyscrapers, and is strictly for pedestrians. The system has stores, restaurants, food courts, banks and a good many of the kinds of businesses that you find in most shopping malls.

Mark 20:44 A couple from Las Vegas, Nevada, as opposed to Las Vegas, New Mexico, in "The Amazing Race" were amazed to see old European landmark buildings and lamented that in Las Vegas, they don't give buildings a chance to last so long because they always tear them down to make new ones! Though to be fair, in the past, they demolished boxy buildings or pre-code buildings that were built fast and cheap from the days of the Old West or the Gangster Era. Of course, something must have been affected by the nearby atomic bomb tests rattling buildings! But now they have very interesting and expensive buildings worth keeping around for some time! Now, what he didn't mention is the legal status of what they call the geographical area known as "The Las Vegas Strip" as opposed to the dance or the beverage or the game or the movie, should those exist. The jurisdiction is different there. Something about how Prostitution is legal in certain sections but not others, gambling, and so on and so forth. Something about making it more family-friendly so that children and parents feel welcome. That's why it looks more like an amusement park. Atlantic City, New Jersey, had the amusement parks to begin with, but also eventually included gambling or gaming casinos. So they are rivals for the same tourists. At least, that's what I recall from "CSI". 🤔 Atlantic City and Atlanta have been mistaken for each other because of their similar names. Tourists have gotten confused when they requested tickets to the wrong city and, upon arrival, wonder why they don't see what they expected to see! 😁
San Diego can't have super tall buildings because the airport is in the middle of the city. Seattle's skyline is gorgeous! Especially when you see it coming across the water on the ferry. The pictures/angles he chose do not represent the skyline properly. Seeing it from the water is how it should be shown. I'd put it much higher on this list. Full disclosure, that's where I live so of course I'm biased.
Seattle should be nearer the top for several reasons. It has a "natural" skyline, meaning you actually see the skyline from various places around town, without having to go search for a good angle. Mount Rainier actually asserts itself on the horizon, as opposed to the forced perspective lens trick for something like LA. Seattle is also nestled amidst hills, which creates actual dimension and character for the city. And then all the incidentals like clouds and rich greens. I would put it number one easily.

the Ball in the Dallas Sky Line is called "Reunion Tower" there used to be an Arena next to it but it was torn down and replaced by another Venue called Airline Arena, it's where the Dallas Stars (Hockey) and Dallas Maverick (Basketball) play their home games
Atlanta's skyline is spread out because the skyscrapers were built around alot of historic areas that weren't going to be torn down. Margaret Mitchell (author of gone with the wind) was born in Atlanta and her house was turned into museum. So if you're driving in midtown, you'll pass a bunch of sky scraper and then you happen upon a random 100 year house. Downtown also has 5 colleges, The Martin Luther King historic district and Coca Cola offices.

There are some underground tunnels in downtown Houston, they’re for pedestrians. They connect a few buildings together and even have some small shops.
Atlanta has an underground shopping district as does Montreal. Cleveland has underground passages between government buildings most people don’t know about.

Having lived in Manhattan for most of my life I can say that it didn't matter that it was twenty years I had been living there I still got goosebumps every time I drove home from work from Queens into Manhattan just looking at three skyline. As selfish as it seems, after 9/11, I remember feeling sad that it'd be changed so drastically. In fact after the first tower fell I thought how strange it'd look with just one tower.
San Diego skyline at night is beautiful. Especially going across over the Coronado bridge. When I was a very young kid the teachers would occasionally take us out of class during the spring and summer, we would go to a big area of grass on the school grounds and we would lay on the grass and look at the huge puffy clouds and try to find interesting things we could see in the clouds, nice memories for a 7-9 year old.
San Diego does have a nice skyline but I wish it looked more like Miami’s skyline. Need more high rise condos

We don't need more people living downtown in high rise condos clogging the streets with more traffic than we already have. I would be happy to see no more building around Petco Park, the Gaslamp Quarter, Seaport Village, the Convention Center and Harbor Dr.
If any new skyscrapers are built I would hope they would be built in the center of town in the business district since many people commute to downtown on public transportation and then leave at the end of the day. Myself, included. Wishful thinking. I'm sure. lol.

Mark 16:38. Two friends and I made the long road trip to "Six Flags Over Texas" and we arrived there while it was sunny but left while it was dark. So we got to see the Dallas Skyline. The "Dodge Microphone" did he call it? I don't think it was there yet. It was the early 1990s, if not the late 1980s. 🤔 We saw the ones outlined in green! We were reminded of "The Emerald City" and the movie "TRON"! 😎
Reunion Tower opened in 1978. However, it didn’t start really looking like the pictures they showed until the 1990’s from what I remember growing up there. All through the 80’s it was just white lights. Now it is super cool LED lights how that changes with seasons/sports events/ etc. Dallas has a very memorable skyline from all angles, but Reunion Tower is in the Southwest corner of downtown and that vantage point seems to be the one most photographers choose
Hey guys, I'm a Houston native, yes Houston does have an under ground urban center, shops & restaurants, it continues to grow,, Houston also has a med center with tall buildings & Greenway area with more sky scrapers, it is an area of uptown shopping.😊

I'll take Chicago because its Skyline is well balanced compared to New York City. As for Miami being ranked at #16 is an insult! It has the the most Skyscrapers in the US after NYC & Chicago.

Houstonian here. I work in downtown. Yes, the Tunnels are, in fact, for pedestrians. And they are meant for the heat and heavy rain we receive. But there isn't much there. Just a few food chains, barber shops, dentist shops
Atlanta is by far my favorite skyline and I've been to LA, NYC, Miami, Dallas, etc. I think the reason is the opposite of what he said, he doesn't think it's nice because of the sprawl of how they're all gapped. Which to be fair they're filling all that in now a lot. It's just so unique. You can literally see a picture that makes it look small and then another that makes it look so large.
Oh and btw. that "seperate city" is Buckhead, and it apart of Atlanta, it's kind of like Beverly Hills is to LA. It's a lot of rich condos and lots of rappers, rich people and celebs own condos there. It really does look like another city though, it's pretty big.

I live and work in Manhattan and get off the subway at Columbus Circle, I'm constantly amazed at the buildings on "Billionaires Row". There's one residential tower that's 472M high. But you're right about where they can build and they are tearing down a lot of older buildings for the new ones. They've also starting building up Queens and Brooklyn and along the Hudson river on the New Jersey side..;)
Yes Houston has underground walkways. I have never been but I've seen them online.
I live in Charleston, South Carolina which was established in 1670 (making it one of America's oldest cities, but still an infant by European standards). Because the historical skyline is so iconic and beautiful, affording most of the city views of Charleston Harbor, the Architectural Review Board has always limited buildings to being no taller than the tallest Church steeple. Thus the tallest building is only 18 stories, and even it is an anomaly.
I lived in San Diego for almost 30 years. The sky is that blue on a clear day and hotter than hell in the summertime.
I lived in Minneapolis for 9 years. Whether living downtown or in any of it's suburbs, it's a great place to live.
The metroplex in Dallas refers to the Dallas fort worth area .....both cities are close to each other in proximity

Actually, the DFW-Arlington metropolitan area aka the Metroplex, is the 4th largest metropolitan area in the US with a population of 7,759,615. Dallas has a network of tunnels beneath the downtown area as well. The "microphone" is the Reunion Tower, a part of the Dallas Hyatt Regency Hotel. It has a revolving restaurant along with an observation deck. It also has a lighting system that flashes around the ball and they can change the colors and designs to observe holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, special events such as Texas/OU weekend (a fabled college football rivalry that happens annually during the State Fair in Dallas), or if a local team goes into a championship series they will flash the team logo in tribute. It's goofy looking, but really cool! You have to see it in person to appreciate it.
But that’s actually three cities and not just one like Houston.

Atlanta’s Skyline is more spread out because of the historic venues like Martin Luther King’s home and the HBCU’s in the area. I believe the area in the background of the shot is Buckhead (which is like North Atlanta). This pictures looks a bit older because now there’s are a few more skyscrapers in place.

Mark 13:38. Hey, serendipity! Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, also has an underground system for pedestrians! You can even go shopping in it. Maybe even dining! At one part, I entered it because while Dad was being examined by medical people, I went looking for the cafeteria, but I found one of the underground corridors instead. It is not all gray and dingy like he seems to be thinking. It was shades of beige and tan, well lit, carpeted, and it had good air flow. I stopped somewhere in the middle when I saw how the other end was and that it was just as far away as where I had entered. The gentle slopes cause visual confusion. So I didn't appease my curiosity then. By the time I made it back, they were done with him, so no cafeteria visit for me. (I enjoy comparing cafeterias to each other.)
One time, Dad was shopping for work supplies. We parked inside a big building made for parking in. We used street crosswalks, but we also used enclosed bridges that connect some buildings, elevators, and underground passages. The bridges are like hallways with windows. The passages look like very long hallways without windows unless they are office or shop windows. 😎
The Space Needle in Seattle was built in 1962 for the World's Fair. It was the first of the tower-type structures in the world but now has been surpassed by all the others in heighth.The observation deck is glass-floored and makes 1-360 degree rotation every hour. spectacular views.
I think a lot of cities were first established on rivers, because before railroads, that's how goods were transported. West of the Mississippi river you see less cities on rivers because when more people started moving west is when the railroad was built.
The Bow River flows through Calgary. It is glacier fed and drops about 4,000 feet over 350 miles. This results in a fast flow and there are several river rafting businesses that operate along the Bow (I rafted on the Bow River out of Kananaskis in 1983 - the water is freezing even in July). It is unlikely that a boat just went by since the river is not deep. Most places it is shallow enough to stand, but the speed of the water flow makes it very difficult.
Yes, Houston has a massive underground tunnel system filled with shops and restaurants. It's to escape the heat and they are quite nice. Minneapolis has a similar system, but it's sky bridges from building to building and the second floor of every building has shops and restaurants. It's to escape the extreme cold. Lol

There are in fact air condition tunnels in the business district of downtown Houston so that the suits can travel around on foot and temperature controlled areas that have stores and restaurants. I think there are over a mile of pedestrian paths in the city all connected together. Montreal has similar underground areas to keep out of the cold. Minneapolis has pedestrian sky bridges enclosed to connect buildings one to another as well as some other cities in the Midwest cold winter zone.
Downtown Atlanta has the pedestrian sky bridges too. Some connect the hotels to each other, but most are for offices. There are 2 mid rise buildings on Ted Turner Dr. next to the tall rounded Westin tower that have at least 7 sky bridges crossing over 1 street block.
That's all Atlanta, Houston is like that too. Houston has Downtown, the Galleria area and the Energy corridor all with large buildings. And Houston and Atlanta both have tunnels under Downtown with shops, restaurants and clubs. A whole nightlife underground.
Last time I was in Vegas it was 107 by noon. Walking down the strip you’d just have this strong hot and dry wind blasting untouched in the face. Felt like sticking your head out of the car window while going down the freeway.
San Diegos buildings are limited to 500 feet due to the airport being just outside the city.
Yes….Atlanta basically has two clusters of skylines…..the downtown/ midtown large stretched out MAIN skyline-look at the posters for Walking Dead…..the shot of all the cars trying to leave the city next to the empty interstate with only Rick Grimes on a horse approaching the city, that’s Midtown/ Downtown area-while Buckhead is the secondary skyline just north of downtown…..
For the most interesting new building in New York look up The Vessel in Hudson Yards. Some people hate it but it's an extraodinary looking structure. Unfortunately it has been closed repeatedly because multiple people have gone there to to leap to their death.
We visited there last year. Also went up to The Edge. 👍🏻

Houston tunnels was for the heat. I worked downtown for years, and never went up to the surface streets.

To answer your question, yes the sky is really that blue a lot of the time in San Diego. I currently live in Huntington Beach (outside LA) and the weather here is really hard to beat, 50's in the winter and usually not more than mid 80's in the summer. It can go days or months without rain also, which is really starting to concern me in our regards to move to Wales. If it rains a couple days in a row here we can get real cranky.

Well, anyway, Houston is one of the grand prix race courses. One day, some years ago, my father and I helped a friend move back to her parents. The route we used took us through one of the downtown areas. She pointed out how it is so big that it has two downtowns!
But what I noticed, that they did not, as they don't play video games, was how many other drivers did! 🙄 I even saw a motorcyclist recreating moves from the game to get through the traffic! It was eerie! But now I know why the city was included in the game! 😎
By the way. My brother once had a car that was used in the game. I got to drive it. So, I was able to compare the real car to the game car. It was a sporty, compact car. Sadly, I never got to drive one of his "Ford Mustang" cars. He didn't have them at the same time! 😐

Houston's tunnel system connect all the downtown skyscrapers, and is strictly for pedestrians. The system has stores, restaurants, food courts, banks and a good many of the kinds of businesses that you find in most shopping malls.
Toronto has a great skyline but Etobicoke and Mississauga which are in the Toronto area also have beautiful skylines now as well.
Atlanta has several: Midtown, Downtown, Buckhead, etc.

Regarding Atlanta, the 3 clusters that are all part of the city are Downtown, Buckhead, Midtown and to a smaller extent Cumberland where the new Braves stadium is.

Mark 20:44 A couple from Las Vegas, Nevada, as opposed to Las Vegas, New Mexico, in "The Amazing Race" were amazed to see old European landmark buildings and lamented that in Las Vegas, they don't give buildings a chance to last so long because they always tear them down to make new ones!
Though to be fair, in the past, they demolished boxy buildings or pre-code buildings that were built fast and cheap from the days of the Old West or the Gangster Era. Of course, something must have been affected by the nearby atomic bomb tests rattling buildings!
But now they have very interesting and expensive buildings worth keeping around for some time! Now, what he didn't mention is the legal status of what they call the geographical area known as "The Las Vegas Strip" as opposed to the dance or the beverage or the game or the movie, should those exist. The jurisdiction is different there. Something about how Prostitution is legal in certain sections but not others, gambling, and so on and so forth. Something about making it more family-friendly so that children and parents feel welcome. That's why it looks more like an amusement park. Atlantic City, New Jersey, had the amusement parks to begin with, but also eventually included gambling or gaming casinos. So they are rivals for the same tourists. At least, that's what I recall from "CSI". 🤔
Atlantic City and Atlanta have been mistaken for each other because of their similar names. Tourists have gotten confused when they requested tickets to the wrong city and, upon arrival, wonder why they don't see what they expected to see! 😁

San Diego can't have super tall buildings because the airport is in the middle of the city. Seattle's skyline is gorgeous! Especially when you see it coming across the water on the ferry. The pictures/angles he chose do not represent the skyline properly. Seeing it from the water is how it should be shown. I'd put it much higher on this list. Full disclosure, that's where I live so of course I'm biased.
Seattle should be nearer the top for several reasons. It has a "natural" skyline, meaning you actually see the skyline from various places around town, without having to go search for a good angle. Mount Rainier actually asserts itself on the horizon, as opposed to the forced perspective lens trick for something like LA. Seattle is also nestled amidst hills, which creates actual dimension and character for the city. And then all the incidentals like clouds and rich greens. I would put it number one easily.
