Also, given how animals need to grow up before they give you anything, getting then in the late winter if you can and are ready for it with hay aplenty doesn't hurt. And yeah, while the hoe is probably less critical and I always upgrade it last (given how you use it only once at the beginning whereas you use the watering can every day), the can is unbelievably time and stamina-saving when upgraded. That is until you can get some quality sprinklers going. Anyway. If you can upgrade your barn and coop before the end of winter, you'll be golden when spring comes back. And if you fish and mine enough, you may be able to afford pigs soon, and they will pay for themselves in no time after that by finding truffles all the time. ^_^
Hey denver this is a great video i really enjoyed it. as a completionist of this game i already knew basicaly know all of this and i kept track of the ones that i didnt know -lightning rod on grass so animals cant eat it -the coconut and cactus fruit in the kegs -the stay in your journal while you fish to save time -and the chest under furniture one

@@SynchronisationFailed actually one guy programmed and patches it all, so it's the dev hates fun! ;D Thing is his intention of the game was something calm and the 2:00 AM Trick stood against that so he patched it so we don't overwork ourselfs, y'know? :D
Haven't touched this game in months after being addicted to it but got burnt out...thanks to these kinds of videos, I'm finally going to reset all my achievements and start anew :)
My tip: If doing the bundles is driving you mad and finding it a pain checking what to keep and going to the center all the time. Go online, write down all items you need and then make a storage box dedicated to bundle items. When that's full, take all the stuff to the center and complete a few bundles. 😊
9:55 for anyone who doesnt know in the last 1.5 update this has been changed you can no longer dig up sprinklers up therefore you dont need to place a tile under it
Here’s one you missed. There are two kinds of consumable buffs. Food and drink, you can stack a coffee with a pepper popper or spicy eel or any other speed buff dish and the effects will stack. So you will actually move faster than compared with a single buff from one of the items individually.
yup I agree that about both being great I played all Rune Factory games and the best one the one you said so I was looking for game like it and found stardew velley and am hooked
If you take damage from a slime and get the “slimed” debuff, drink coffee to bring your speed back above 1, then when the debuff wears off, you get a permanent speed boost for the rest of the day 👍

I've yet to see this glitch posted anywhere so I'll share it here. I use it to gain unlimited wealth to unlock the bus and skull cavern by day 7. First off, you need to utilize the no sleep glitch, because you're going to be up for about a week or more. Secondly, you need foraging level 3 so you've unlocked the tapper. If you are lucky enough to get some copper ore before the mines open up, you can initiate Clint's furnace cut-scene, otherwise you'll have to wait until the sixth to actually start making tappers. Anyway, once you have the ability and materials to make tappers, wait until after 2 a.m. and start using the sleep glitch. The date will remain the same, but the clock will continue to tick away. You'll need to wait about 7 days, so make sure you have something to do while you wait, i.e. additional foraging, going to the mines if they are open, whatever, but if you wait long enough you can then tap a tree and as soon as the clock advances ten minutes, the tapper will produce. Empty the tapper and wait another ten minutes and it will produce again. You can do this indefinitely. If you've managed to unlock the furnace before the mines open, by using the copper you find in the lower levels, you will be able to equip yourself with unlimited maple syrup for health and stamina restore. As long as you stay on top of the sleep glitch and health, you can reach level 120 on the same day the mines opened, day 5. Then, by continuing to exploit the tappers, you can set aside all the syrup, oak resin and pine tar you will ever need and still sell enough to make a couple million, though I'm usually happy with a few hundred thousand, if you wanted to spend that much time doing it, all while still on night 5. By day 6, you could have enough money for full stacks of pizza and coffee, have unlocked the minecarts and bus and on day 7 be exploring the depths of skull cavern until you have all the iridium you will ever need plus the galaxy sword. One thing to note about the sleep glitch. As long as the clock reads after 6:00 am and before 12:00 am when you do finally go to sleep, you will not suffer a stamina penalty when you wake up, despite however many weeks or even months you stayed up the night before. One more thing. As long as you never build a coop, it will never clear from your mission log. To utilize the sleep glitch, you have to have at least one active mission in it. If you hold off on planting the parsnips for a few days, long enough to utilize the tapper glitch, you can get a coop built before it becomes a mission and when the "build a coop" mission does appear, it will not count the coop you've already had built.
9:00 OMG! Thank you so much! I never knew you could do this! Running back and forth, and writing notes to see which items that I needed next was such a time waster.
6:50 The travelling cart. BUY the coffee bean. Once the plant's done growing you can harvest it for additional coffee beans. Replant and grow over and over to make a ton of money.

One of my favorite cozy hobbies is nature journaling. I love nature journaling because there is SO many ways to make it your own and you can even nature journal your own garden. Another hobby I love is thrifting. But cozy thrifting is an art. Get a cozy playlist and bring headphones, a coffee or tea, and take your time. I also really like felting crafts or any Waldorf crafts. Waldorf crafting is such a specific feel and look and is by far the coziest crafting in the world. Another thing I love to do with my sister is watching tv shows and movies from when we were little or even play computer games from American girl, polly pocket or webkinz from the 2000s. It’s a weekend tradition and it’s a great way to feel comforted and connect with your inner child and reminisce on the past in a comforting way.
a few good tips i just remembered (idk if they're in the vid or not) if you craft a stone staircase and wear is as pants it turns into mayor Lewis's purple shorts. if you put one in your fair grange display then mayor lewis gives you 150 star tokens to keep quiet. you can get multiple shorts with the staircase method and i believe it adds 100 tokens for each shorts? (i had 7 and got 750 tokens) its a good way to get free tokens and raise friendship with people by putting them in the luau stew
I like how the title says "Might Not Know", unlike those videos that say "HERE ARE 100 THINGS THAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW", where I end up already having known half of the things.
A few of these like dropping ore for clint or eating while bombs are going off are patched, but still, lots I didn't know about that probably still work!
Some of these I did know and didn't know. Bait one I knew from just playing with how it works. But nice to learn about the hiding chest and fence ones. Though I think that chest thing will be gone when co-op comes around for all I know. Still wondering how the mode would work and the best ways to hide stuff do your friend can't troll you. :P
another thing you might not have known, speed items like coffee and pepper poppers stack, and they also stack with your horse EDIT: I forgot to mention that not all the food items with a speed boost stack, the easiest I've found is the pepper poppers and the coffee.
thatdenverguy I learned about stacking speed boosts when I was in skull caverns and I had a coffee, then I ate the Spicy Eel that drops from those flying dragon things. I use Pepper Poppers because they're the cheapest to make that also stacks with coffee boost, sadly the pepper poppers don't stack with the Spicy Eel so you can't have 3 at once, that I know of at least
I just started this game and while I'm glad to know some other this, it feels like such an overload of information for a new person like me so I'm gonna save this and watch the rest later :)
6:40 birthday gifts DO count towards the 2-a-week limit. They IGNORE the limit if it's already at 2. The key difference is you can still give a birthday gift AFTER already reaching the limit. So if you wanna give someone 3 gifts on their bday week you have to give the bday gift LAST.
I like some of these tips are for "more money" but by year 3, I had more money than I knew what to do with so I downsized my farm by chopping down half my orchard, my greenhouse, and sold half my animals. The issue I always have is finding enough supplies for crafting that you can't buy anywhere (mostly fiber and hardwood).

Thanks Mario
I was the 500th like of Mario's and denver at the same time. How _interesting_
Hey denver this is a great video i really enjoyed it.
as a completionist of this game i already knew basicaly know all of this and i kept track of the ones that i didnt know
-lightning rod on grass so animals cant eat it
-the coconut and cactus fruit in the kegs
-the stay in your journal while you fish to save time
-and the chest under furniture one
The fish in the journal works?
I was putting all my coconut in kegs but then realised that for 10 coconuts you can get a golden coconut at the trader on ginger Island :( so was wasting my coconuts the whole time. Sam loves cactus fruit so remember to keep some for him
Game launches on Switch tomorrow. I only played like 60 hours on PC but I'm full ready to play hundreds with a fresh start.
Will it have the same exact features?
David Stockwell II probably not
It does have the exact features, i just bought it.
(Except the content in the multiplayer update but that will come along)

I'm watching this in 2019 and wondering how many of these tips got patched.
Insofar as I can tell, quiiiiite a few of them. The devs hate fun. Sort of. :P (I adore Stardew Valley so much.)
@@SynchronisationFailed actually one guy programmed and patches it all, so it's the dev hates fun! ;D Thing is his intention of the game was something calm and the 2:00 AM Trick stood against that so he patched it so we don't overwork ourselfs, y'know? :D

i love how he went like 'don't store legendaries in the fridge' and im here like 'YOU CAN STORE STUFF IN THE FRIDGE???'
My tip: If doing the bundles is driving you mad and finding it a pain checking what to keep and going to the center all the time. Go online, write down all items you need and then make a storage box dedicated to bundle items. When that's full, take all the stuff to the center and complete a few bundles. 😊
The hardwood thing. that actually had me till year 3
9:55 for anyone who doesnt know in the last 1.5 update this has been changed you can no longer dig up sprinklers up therefore you dont need to place a tile under it
it looks nice tho
Here’s one you missed. There are two kinds of consumable buffs. Food and drink, you can stack a coffee with a pepper popper or spicy eel or any other speed buff dish and the effects will stack. So you will actually move faster than compared with a single buff from one of the items individually.
I'm amazed. Now I want to play Stardew Valley.
you really should it is a wonderful game. highly addictive even. But a better addiction than that of more harmful things.
Go for it. Stardew is an awesome game.

just wanted to let you know that I was still watching in 2020
I've yet to see this glitch posted anywhere so I'll share it here.
Your voice still sounds like angels singing

Omg, Keggs, processing machines, and chests as fences...........that blew my mind. This game is so deceptively deep.

I DL'ed Stardew Valley on Steam the same week of actual release...probably one of few buys I could say that absolutely worth every dollar.
I'm super late to this but if you hover your mouse to items that are required for the bundles, the bundle icon will shake a little.

It’s a weekend tradition and it’s a great way to feel comforted and connect with your inner child and reminisce on the past in a comforting way.
a few good tips i just remembered (idk if they're in the vid or not)
if you craft a stone staircase and wear is as pants it turns into mayor Lewis's purple shorts. if you put one in your fair grange display then mayor lewis gives you 150 star tokens to keep quiet. you can get multiple shorts with the staircase method and i believe it adds 100 tokens for each shorts? (i had 7 and got 750 tokens) its a good way to get free tokens and raise friendship with people by putting them in the luau stew
I just harvested my first crop this morning i was hoping i would get some more basic tips lol.
omG I MISSED SO MANY HARDWOOD. Thank you I learned a lot of stuff!
You can hold shift!! I've been solo clicking and it takes so long.

another thing you might not have known, speed items like coffee and pepper poppers stack, and they also stack with your horse
EDIT: I forgot to mention that not all the food items with a speed boost stack, the easiest I've found is the pepper poppers and the coffee.
That is awesome, I didn't know it, thanks Alana
thatdenverguy I learned about stacking speed boosts when I was in skull caverns and I had a coffee, then I ate the Spicy Eel that drops from those flying dragon things.
Your mod video was linked by dangerously funny!!

tbh chests are kind of overpowered they cost almost nothing and you can store a ton in there and place it almost everywhere. I only upgraded the inventory once or twice and then waited a while cause chests can store almost everything you want to store
