  • Dozens of people in the Midwest are believed to be dead after severe weather that caused multiple tornadoes struck late Friday night and early Saturday morning, tearing through several states including Kentucky, Illinois and Arkansas.
As of Saturday morning, at least 70 people have died in Kentucky alone, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said, and the death toll is expected to rise. President Biden called the destruction "devastating."
In Mayfield, Ky., a candle factory was hit, leading to multiple fatalities, Beshar said at a news conference earlier Saturday morning.
The devastation in the Mayfield area goes beyond the factory, and several surrounding counties are are pitching in with EMS help, as the main emergency services hub in the town itself was in the direct line of the storm, local officials said Saturday. The water tower was hit too, leaving the town without water.
Kentucky Emergency Management Director Michael Dossett said Friday night's tornado event may surpass the 1974 Super Outbreak as the deadliest in the state's history.

I'm literally crying. The house where I grew up is gone, as well as the jail, pharmacy, even the courthouse. What hurts the most is knowing that the people you grew up with and work with, as well as the people you see everyday, might be dead or even have lost their homes and/or loved ones. I hope that people in your area urge increased funding for FEMA so that when people in other areas need assistance it is there as well. Better storm warnings, perhaps improved infrastructure. There is a lot of improvements that can help people. It seems as though a lot of people want help when they need it, but forget there are needs that other people have. Needs. I am reminded of the people of Puerto Rico at the time of the devastating hurricane in 2017. I am not without sympathy for people who experience devastating loss. On the day my second daughter was born our house burned down. We lost everything. There was not fire assistance in our area.

We're never as strong, as we are until we have to be. Never Do as much, unless the need we see. Only give our best, when we fail at mediocrity. We Love rather than hate when we admit we're one humanity. We always give more, when compassion moves our heart with unbridled generosity. We Become more of our potential when we are made to see, that clearly our minds can believe in unfathomable possibilities, while seizing every opportunity, here in lies one's destiny. More than our scars, higher than our stars, for in our flaws are what defines our features, they're uniquely ours, as human creatures.
We can run faster than on our slowest day. Reason better, and thinking it through all the way, regardless which direction our emotions may sway. We can find our voice when speechless, our strong words with meekness and our Courage in weakness. Always patience not quickness. Silence for peace than loudness, quietness of fear, not hopeless, for time and effort are equally unbiased. We are more than the stories we're told, we're the one's we write, each page unfold. We are the sum of our Lies and truth, fantasy, fiction, faith, and myths, no matter how uncouth. These are what shape us, our lives lived is the proof. We can be more right than wrong. Of there isn’t already, there should be a wind corridor mapping from all these past hurricanes and tornados, and prevent any construction to be done on these vulnerable threads. It obviously cannot prevent the storms but at least it would help to minimize the massive damage.

I'm very sorry for the lost people and their loved ones. I live in Russia, and tornadoes are very rare here, but I remember how, as a child, a tornado killed a girl from my school when she and her parents went to rest at sea. All my life I've had nightmares with a tornado, I don't even want to think about what it would be like to see this horror live.

Tornadoes are rare everywhere, except USA and like Bangladesh I think....BUt did you know with that area of eastern Europe and Russia, they are some of the places most prone to horrible tornado outbreaks that produce f5 tornadoes?!...After the eastern usa and after in and around bangladesh south of himilayas where cold are meets tropical air, I think Russia ranks 3rd in terms of f5 tornadoes....maybe not 3rd in overall tornadoes, lots of places get f0, f1, f2....a lot more than russia, like britain might get more tornadoes on average than russia but I think the odds of a big tornado in UK is nearly impossible, not in Russia... but I think over the past 1000 years russia has had more f5 tornadoes than any country other than america and that area of southeasternish asia. Im serious.....Do not doubt the super cell storms that can develop in the flat areas from europe to the ural mountains! Look, an f5 tornado in russia with other big tornadoes in outbreak more likely then a meteor flying over a city, almost getting too close and killing lots, but still doing that amount of damage...you had the meteor already 7 years ago...I for real when say f5 a lot more likely than that, definately f4...unfortunately too your tornado alley can produce some of the worst, its just rare, but also sad it in more populated areas of country and not in siberia!

Help victims find good contractors for repairs. There will be a LOT of fake contractors trying to get that insurance money. Victims are vulnerable and tend to hire whoever promises to repair their house the soonest. Help victims ask for references and picture of past work. Most importantly, explain the need to be patient. Someone who is promising quick repairs is usually a scammer

      Allah سبحانه وتعالى said,
We wronged them not, but they wronged themselves. So their gods other than Allah, whom they invoked, profited them naught when there came the Command of your Lord, nor did they (false deities) add aught to them except destruction.
Such is the Seizure of your Lord when He seizes the (population of) the towns while they are doing wrong (polytheism). Verily, His Seizure is painful, (and) severe. [Hud 11:101-102]
And your Lord would never destroy the towns wrongfully, while their people were right-doers. [Hud 11:116]
And to warn those who say: "Allah has begotten a son (or offspring or children)."
No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. Mighty (in disbelief) is the word that comes out of their mouths. They utter nothing but a lie. [Al-Kahf 18:4-5]
So We sent upon them a furious wind in days of evil omen (for them) that We might give them a taste of disgracing torment in this present worldly life. But surely the torment of the Hereafter will be more disgracing, and they will never be helped. [Fussilat 41:16]
Or do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not send against you a violent whirlwind? Then you shall know how (terrible) has been My Warning. [Al-Mulk 67:17]
Verily, We sent (Messengers) to many nations before you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). And We seized them with extreme poverty and loss in health (with calamities) so that they might humble themselves (believe with humility).
So when Our Torment reached them, why then did they not humble themselves (believe with humility)? But their hearts became hardened, and Shaytan (Satan) made fair-seeming unto them that which they used to do. [Al-An'aam 6:42-43]

I know the devastation, bewilderment and pain. I was in the ones that ripped through Putnam county in March 2020. My neighborhood and surrounding areas were just about flattened with an F4. The storms actually extended from Davidson county to just beyond Putnam. We lost around 28 citizens. Took most of us around 6 months to rebuild after squeezing whatever we could out of our respective insurance providers. Anyway, my deepest sympathies to everyone effected by this awful storm. It went over our heads as well but we were lucky this time. I hope you folks will be getting plenty of help in the days coming. We did in March 2020, and were very fortunate for all the volunteers.
