If I remember correctly, the reason for the step sibling case was because a lot of single parents were getting married to eachother while the children were either dating, engaged, or had been married.
This. I don't get why people would have a problem with this, why would young people be forced apart because their single parents decided they're gonna remarry at the age of 50.
They put the stigma on the wrong aspect with no regard for real-life scenarios.
They can legally marry because they are not blood related.
90% of the laws against incest are based on the fact that people who are closely related, i.e. blood relatives, have a much higher chance of giving birth to children with birth defects and / or damaged genes. You know, inbreeding.
There's also the whole moral issue...
@@delayed_control The stigma is because everyone just assumes that when you say step sibling you mean someone you grew up with like a real sibling when your parents remarried when you were ... like 10 or something.
No one thinks about how you can gain a step sibling in your 20s or older if you parents just decide to get remarried late in life.
So the assumption is always that you're trying to marry someone you see like an actual sibling.

My great aunt married her step bro. But in their defense they were already teens when their parents married. After 50 years they are still married.
Their parents didn't speak with them for years because of that.
I think it is a difference how old you were when you became stepsiblings. When you grow up with someone you instinctively won't feel attracted to them to prevent incest. This instinct doesn't work anymore when you're older. That's also why half siblings which don't know they are siblings end up together. You feel a connection to your own blood, but that "growing up together" instinct prevents the incest.

In Norway it's legal to have a relationship with your step-sibling or step-parent, but only if both parties consider each other STEP-siblings/parents and if they haven't lived together for a long time, and its also not recommended at all because it gives a "wrong family relationship"
How is a wrong family relationship? 🤡 Its their bodies and their choice
@@makchot3263Same argument would go for real incest. And if you have been step siblings since your childhood, it’s just as weird as incest.
@@6drydrydgdfhdre468 not really. Being against wanting to frick your blood sibling is a natural reaction. Or anyone you're related to for that matter. There is also the issue with offsprings having a high chance to have defects etc and as such has been deemed illegal in most countries.
A step sibling is nothing more but just another human from a different mother and father with whom you are not related to by blood at all. In case anyone is confused, the step-siblings taboo in “those” videos is so common because depicting them as actual siblings is actually illegal.
Have you noticed like 3-5years ago PH went from every title saying "bother and sister" or "mom and son" and literally *over-night* they were all gone or renamed to "stepsis and step bro" or "stepmom and son".. A few years ago it was common to *not* use the step prefix

@@justins8802 I completely agree with you. I think you're absolutely right
In what country is it illegal? Definitely not the US. Definitely not France. The only bans these countries put on porn is who can access it and who can star in it. Bestiality and child porn are the primary reasons for porn laws. The reason the hub changed the rules is because of the credit card companies banning them for HT. The taboo of close siblings is strongly popular in many wealthy countries and so it’s generally incentivized by consumers for pornographers to use the concept for their bottom line, but because most porn sites have rules against content depicting illegal acts (ie incest) they add the tags. But the depiction of illegal acts is not in and of it self illegal in any country I’m aware of.
TLDR, Step-Porn is common because capitalism.

The “BRO WHAT IS THIS… I thought this mf was a lawyer?” Killed me man
In Wisconsin the drinking age loophole is quite broad. It's 21 unless you are with parents or a spouse that is of legal age. That's it. No restrictions on age or location. My first year of law school at UW Madison, I was at a bar and watched a couple come in with 3 kids, aged between 5 and 8. I mentioned to the bartender that it surprised me because I bounced in undergrad and in the state where I went you couldn't even get past the door if you weren't 21. He literally shrugged and responded, "I'll serve 'em up a round of shots if mom or dad asks me to."
He was not exaggerating. Completely allowed here.
The law governs the purchase and sale and not the actual consumption although a non parent serving alcohol to a minor under 18 may be considered "endangering the welfare of a minor". In reality, most 18 to 20 year olds do not abstain from alcohol, just like their counterparts in the rest of the western, developed, industrialised world, where the "drinking age" is 18 or thereabouts.
Uhh in my country we need to be 18 years old

@@President_Freedom Wis. Stat. 125.07(1)(a)2: "No licensee or permittee may sell, vend, deal or traffic in alcohol beverages to or with any underage person not accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or spouse who has attained the legal drinking age."
There also a subsection 1 that has basically the same language for people other than licensed establishments (ie. Can't give alcohol to a minor without their legal age parent or spouse being present). Plain language of the statute says that they're only prohibited from selling to underage people if they're unaccompanied. If they're accompanied by a parent or spouse, it's a lawful sale. That being said, each establishment can set their own restrictions on who they serve and many do decline to make those sales, even though they're legal.
Mike: * explains the law while casually driving over an pedestrian*
“What are you doing Step-Bro?”😂🤣💀

Fun fact: studies have shown that when parents let their kids have a sip of alcohol on special occasions, the kids are less likely to become alcoholics as adults because it’s not this super off limits special adult thing to them that they can consume as much as they want of when they’re of age.

I lived next to a dangerous town where people were getting car jacked at stop signs for rides. The locals called it ride jacking. To handle the problem police said, "If you see a suspicious person approaching your car and you're afraid for your life, you're allowed to run the stop signs at the most common corners where this happens.

During my lunch break I go to a shopping center where theres a McDonald's. While my dad did some digging into his side of the family, he uncovered some documents about a Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather and problems he had with his marriage. He married a woman who had a daughter from another marriage. She moved in too, so there were the parents as well as the mother's daughter and the father's son (also from another marriage). Seeing as they had a small home, the step-siblings had to share a room. One night, the girl comes running into the master bedroom where her mother was asleep with her husband. The stepbrother was trying to fondle and have sex with her in the middle of the night. The mother was furious and turned to her husband to see what he was going to do about it. His solution, I kid you not, was to have the step-siblings marry and that would apparently solve everything.
Sometime after that, while the father and son were out of the house, the mother and daughter gathered up their belongings and ran away. We learned about this incident when the mother applied to get her ex-husband's pension and she explained the whole incident as to why she disappeared from her husband.
Kudos to the mom who decided to ran away for the sake of her daughter. Some mothers would turn a blind to that heinousness. That father is sick in the head too to propose a plan to marry them when the daughter clearly didn't want to do the act by running from the bedroom.
what bothered me was the pension but it was correct she did it

The things about step siblings is that they have to be raised together, especially starting at a young age so they see each other as siblings in the sense therefore the whole "getting attracted" to them thing wouldn't happen more likely, but if you have them act as step siblings when they're well into their teens like 15 and up, you're probably gonna have some problems or if they're already adults you're definitely gonna have some issues
to be fair, while it is an ethical thing, genetically it's the same as fucking another person you never knew.

Stop signs on private property only count if the private property isn't open to the public. For example here in Florida, if I own a hotel with a stop sign in the parking lot technically the law is still enforced even though it's private property, it's still open to the public.

The best one is leaving a restaurant without paying. If you are simply absent-minded or if you realize that you don't have the money, it is not illegal to leave. Of course, you still owe the restaurant money!
For the third one. The biggest example is parking lots. You don't actually have to stop at those stop signs, but you will get in trouble if you hit anyone. Pedestrians still have the right away. So it's best to be safe, but if you can clearly see that there's no pedestrians around then fell free to blow right through them.

If they are not enforced, it should be illegal to make them look like real signs

Yeah you gotta be real careful with the parking lot stop signs. A LOT of property owners pay the cops a fee and in turn that private property is allowed to be treated effectively like public property for enforcement purposes.
Signs on private property are unenforceable by police UNLESS the town/city has passed an ordinance giving the police that power. In my state a sign also has to be posted at each entrance to said property stating that police have the power to enforce said signage. No sign no enforcement power.
@@tubedude54 every jurisdiction will be different its why people should look into their area and find out. I mean of course it also helps to just not be an A-hole in parking lots. That will usually keep you to the good in every state :)
Another good reason to stop at the stop sign even if you don't legally have to. If you don't and an accident happens because of it you're gonna be held liable either partly or fully. Depending on the situation.
Not entirely true. Private property is just that... PRIVATE. Stop Signs on private property is just a policy.
@@jowbloe4700 it just means that police can't enforce it unless the property owner asks to. It would still hold up in a court of law. Unless you're gonna tell me parking lots speed limit wouldn't hold up in a court of law in case of an accident.

@@LawByMike hey what about laws for.animal training/taming pls
I live in a state where you can drink on private property "with a parent or legal guardian". How does that work if you're 19 for example? Are you your own guardian? If not, how could you be an independent adult?
If you aren’t with a parent on private property, then no drinking until you’re 21. Simple as that
“She’s not my step sister”
Very convincing, Mike. Wanna also invoke the fifth?
You have no idea how much "grape juice" I drank at church💀
Another loophole in the drinking thing, at least here in Canada, is being a culinary student. Because the nature of their education requires it, they're allowed to drink certain forms of alcohol as prescribed by their instructors for educational purposes.
“She’s not really my stepsister”
It’s his real sister
Nah bro here where i’m at it’s by technicality illegal if you ain’t wanna get bullied so hard😭
in the most of the states that its legal to underage drink on your property. the law states that a father can give his son of no younger than 13 one beer on his property, and that includes in his yard.
Here in NJ, there's no age restriction for the minor. Giving a minor a drink in your home is legal as long as the parent is 21+, they grant permission, and it's done in their presence.
@@nyx211 well, thats why NJ is NJ.
For most states they can get as drunk as they want as long as they're 16+ or some are 18+ and some clubs allowed 18+ even for drinking.
@@nyx211 minimum is 16 in NJ, unless you're talking about another law that's more restrictive.
@@oldmanbiscuit7518 a lot of states in the East and south have similar laws

#2 is the reason I had my first drink at 16 - my mom let me drink with her and my older sister.
They had picked up a big ol’ box of Smirnoff at the store as they planned to drink over the weekend for celebratory reasons and my mom invited me to join them.
