@@DanielButt nah I trade N.Y, London is more stable honestly, I need to change to that, I have some trouble waking up early morning that's why, but the last year I was rocking on G.U LONDOM session.
Dope...I trade GU exclusively. My trade buddies been trying to get me to switch to gold. I understand GU in detail and don't really want to fool with anything else.
Once you focus on GU independently it's a beautiful pair. Helping with my risk management with only one pair and setup

How many traded do tou think is a good data set to analyse the data on ? 100 trades ? 200?
Funny you made a video about that because I stopped trading Gold also around 6 months ago. The volatility became to ridiculous with the US dollar. Best decision I made because sometimes I take a look at Gold out of curiosity and I’ll see massive wicks, for no reason … so happy I moved on.
It's never for no reason. You just have to look at different TF.

if you got into fundamental analysis you'd understand why those big wicks happen. every move has its reason

facts, i quit gold, indices are just SO much better and more volatile.
I think with your trading style you benefit a lot from seasonality of GU in the fall and XAU during spring, summer
I still trade gold with my setup NY session only usually happen 2-6 setup per month consistently in very specific time range.. it helps me avoid risk exposure of crazy volatility.
sir did you also test EU before you started trading GU?
I'm in the same position now where I consider stop trading gold, man common they just come for ur sl with massive wicks and then move the way it was intended to move
I only trade Gold in London and NY session. Going to give GU a go in London session tomorrow and Gold got NY and see how it works out

Regarding slippage what lot size do prop firms start slipping crazy?
It's the reason I don't merge accounts because I'm scared of volume band slippage attached to larger lot sizes.
People in the UK are blessed with trading timing. I live in Canada and I have to get up really early. Trading around noon is blessed, trust me on this.
Would you say forward testing is better and enough when starting out? Or do you need to back test? Thank you 🙏🏻

I’m going back to trading currency pairs. I’m not being greedy for pips anymore. With gold moving more stop losses have to be bigger and more money is risked. I’ve been blowing a lot of prop accounts focusing on gold. Also with gold you have to trade smaller time frames like the 15 minute and 5 because your entries have to be more precise.
Can you please talk about taxes and transfering funds from prop firms bank account
I trade gold asian and london session because of my timezone but it seems to be working really well i also find gold to be extremely choppy in newyork session

Yep agree. I went back to the UK to visit my Mum in October and traded the NY session for the first time, it was chaotic, I didn't like it. I moved to Sydney 14 years ago by the way.
Gold in New York session sucks. Forget strategies
i still trade gold my favorite. the environn,nt changed. But still pretty interesting to trade
I'm sorry but the best trading session for me is hands down NY for many reasons but the main one is I need the market to show me 'its hand' during London session, it's part of my strategythat and the much better (increased) volatility during NY.
What pair you trade ?
I don't think Gold is volatile at all... it moves lovely. Only on high risk news do you get the larger moves same as everything else. Depends on the strategy people are using i guess.

Would never make such a change! That's on you, though. And swing trading is the best way to trade, not really day trading.
Wow god answered my prayers . I tried trading gold and omg it just wicks you out so many times before pushing . I trade Ucad in New York but needed a second pair so I was stuck between UJ, GU. I might stay with GU . I think it moves well during pre New York or New York .

Broaden your horizon, why limit yourself to one pair, follow the volatility, what do you do when cable is chilling ? go play golf ? Play golf on the weekend. You want to be semi retired in your 20's 😂 people Love to open up additional sources of income but forget they are traders, there are literally 10's of thousands of instruments to trade, treat each additional security you trade as an additional source of income.

Was an unexperienced trader and i lost over $30K when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I find one source to recover my money, at least $5k profits weekly trading with Thomas.
