- Enjoy the sights and sounds while Evan Smith of Elite Heavy Transport, LLC. in Loxahatchee, Florida moves a 950k John Deere dozer measuring 13' 6" tall, 14' 5" wide, and about 23' long from Orlando down to West Palm Beach. The estimated weight was 80,000.
He's running a 2003 Peterbilt 379 / Caterpillar C-15 MBN / Borg Warner Single 78mm Turbo / PDI Manifold / 650hp Diesel Freak Tune / 8" Lincoln Chrome exhaust / 18 speed / 260" wheelbase / 4.10 gears. The truck is set up with a 20k front axle and 46k rear axles. The trailer is a 2013 Fontaine 55 ton with a 26' well and a 22k flip axle with a Superior nitro spreader bar.

Love that motor sound..the rumbling..shifting etc I drove tractor trailer for Hiway 9 Express in Calgary Alberta Canada for almost 30 years. In town plus some hotshots out of town. Learned to upshift by rpm
sound . Downshift by sound no clutch use tricky..need to bring rpm up..feel it into gear. Going around a bend on a highway loaded..ease off power a bit then entering bend add power so the weight stays balanced sooo smooth..could sense it via my butt its also if I was one with the truck..this kind of experienced feeling takes a few
years

Robert divany I do heavy haul and most guys won’t touch anything for less than $3/mi. Something like this is probably more like $5-$7/mi. I just hauled a CAT 988 wheel loader @ 87k lbs (148k lbs gross) for $6.60/mi

In the UK we only have about a 10ft gap through most tollbooths. There is a 20ft + gap kerbside of the booths. Great production [new subscriber]

Glad you enjoyed it!! The rebuild on Mission Control has been an absolute mess! The engine has been removed 3 times. The repair shop hasn't gotten it right. Its there now because they gave it to me saying it was done but the lifters are way to loud! Happy trails to ya out there on the boulevard!

Great video. One question, why is the lift axle not down for the first 5:15, then is lowered afterwards, then raised again at 5:37, down again at 6:05, up at 7:05? Is that due to some rule on certain segments of the roads used? Thanks
