I've been programming in php for 16 years, I love this language. Version 8+ is excellent, it brought many improvements over 7.4, such as named parameters.
It was a really good class.
Is this course enough to program in php?
@@capslock3250 This course has everything you need to get started with PHP. Keep in mind that the secret is practice. With what has been presented in the course, you can recreate a small to-do list application, for example, because the course teaches how to interact with databases. Speaking of databases, I recommend using PDO and using a MySQL function to escape strings that you send to the database to avoid SQL Injection. Just a reminder, watch the course and practice what you've learned. PHP is an excellent language to start with, it has great features for object-oriented programming, especially with PHP 8.
A tip for today is to study concepts like DRY, SOLID, Design Patterns, because the language is the last step, and, as I mentioned before, practice and come up with projects so you can apply the language's features. PHP can help you, everything you learn can be applied to other languages, especially the concepts. Practice a lot before diving into a framework, it's important to understand the language.

Is PHP harder then JavaScript?
@@capslock3250 PHP is an easy language to learn, but that doesn't mean it doesn't require dedication. Here at my company, I trained a junior programmer who was already doing significant work within one year. He has less than two years of experience and developed a large project almost entirely on his own. Three months were dedicated to studying, including taking a paid course for practical application, exploring language features, and practicing what was learned. Courses like Bro's are good for providing an introduction so you can develop things on your own, like the example of a to-do list application I mentioned. It may seem like a small thing, but it's very important for beginners.
JavaScript is also an easy language to learn, but there are certain aspects and functionalities that can be tricky for beginners, so having a good book can be very helpful, although in general, it's not difficult either. As I mentioned before, learning how to translate a problem into code comes with time and practice, but complementary subjects that provide insights on how to write well-structured code will make a difference throughout your career.

I was really considering dropping out of uni or starting over in another country at another uni because of how bad i was at programming and then I stumbled upon you r youtube channel and you broke your back carrying me! Wait... So PHP has all of this built in, XAMPP serves the files so no dealing with routing, and it has a gigantic, 25+ year old ecosystem that's still active and thriving... I feel like I've been scammed on my webdev journey, everyone cries about how bad PHP is when it gets brought up. my personal hate for PHP was because I couldn't get it to work properly, tried different editors and watched different videos, and I'd still get an error after copying everything 1:1. the language is okay tho
