I was intrigued that the Wolverine is the same $160 price as the blue and yellow one, even with the few extras included. For Iron Man they always seem to go the other direction. Just a repaint, a simple base and lower price than the regular one. It seems Sideshow have given up on queues for the last few limited edition releases...
The muramasa blade doesnt cut through adamantium it stops wolverines healing factor from working. The problem with the shoulder part of the outfit is the usual problem with comic book outfits in real life. They look good on the page but in real life they don't actually work.
I got brown suit. Just happened to get into the cue then sent me to page and was like...eh why not. What I would hope Hono would do is Storm obviously (Black suit), Nighcrawlwer, Colossus, Jean Gray (Reg and Dark Phoenix), X-23, Angel (ArchAngel), Rogue, Rogue, Rogue, Rogue, and Warpath (he is my icon so...lol. Dont think they will do him but we will see.) etc. Iceman also if they can pull it off. A Weapon X Wolverine would be cool. Although not sure how they would get over the arm seem issue. etc. Thanks for vid!
I don't like it when companies create these false exclusives. Wolverine's costume is basically separated into 2 camps: you're either in the Yellow and tiger stripes OR Brown and yellow group. Hono/Hot Toys decides to put one of them into a limited run of 1500? What company decides that it will make the MOST profit by limiting production at a slight elevated price? I would hate to be a fan of the brown costume wolverine who was waiting for this announcement. Now, as a collector looking at this company the question I ask: in future figures, will they continue to lock variations of the costume of other figures? and how will that affect your decision in collecting further into this line? This type of decision is what killed Mezco as a collection for me. I think it was even a Wolverine figure that Mezco first hid behind the "exclusive" tag that soured me on the whole deal. Actually, Jedha since you seem to plan on getting it, how would you feel about the line if you end up not getting into the 1500? would you be okay not having it in your collection? would you be okay because you think you can still get a good price at the secondary market? or have doubts on this collection's future?
that is an awful pretty Iron Man, so very tempting! The Mark 2 2.0 is supposed to come out somewhere between Jan 2025 and June 2025. That looks very pretty too. Too bad the brown suit Wolvie is so limited. I remember when that brown suit made its first appearance.
