In today's vlog, we are going to show you the only temple in (North)Uttarakhand where Kartikeya, the elder son of Lord Shiva, is worshipped. There are only two temples of Lord Kartikeya built on this entire earth. The first is in the South where the flesh (मांस) of Lord Kartikeya is worshipped. The second one is in the North where the bones of Kartikeya ji are worshipped. This temple is built in Kanakchauri village in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand and if you travel to Kedarnath, then you can visit here at a distance of just 40 kms from Sonprayag. To reach the temple, you have to trek 3.5 kilometers which is a moderate trek, but on reaching the temple you get to see a 360 degree view of the Himalayan range which is quite difficult to see from anywhere else. This temple comes in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand and the name of this temple is "Kartik Swami Temple".

I am surprised to see so many temple for Karthik Samy/Murugan in Dev Bhoomi. Murugan is Tamil first god, our Purana says that He found the Tamil Language and Grammer. In one avatar He took a Guru's position and sat on a higher seat and taught Tamil to Shiv ji who sat down and took lessons as a sisya.
thats nice to hear. Kartikey Swami is our Kul devta and I belongs to Chamba, Himachal Pradesh and the main temple of Kartikey Swami is in Kugti, Distt. Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. We locally called him Kelang Bajeer.
