WOW Ana thats a Fantastic Sunday to wake up to see all of these stunning bloomers, and WOWSERS WOW WOW WOW we have never seen a pink flowering Matucana before, yours is absolutely STUNNING and so very BEAUTIFUL in Pink Super Bloom , and THANK YOU SO MUCH Ana for the wonderful mention at 7.15
Thank you Lyn for your expert advice on my then sick cactus. Now it’s back flowering again! So my pink Matucana must not be common. Even the others say theirs are orange/red or white. Daz says it might be a cross between the red and the white. Very interesting 🧐

@@CactusCaffeine yes, thank you so much. Had to transfer my Crown of Thorns into a bigger pot yesterday & took 1 root cutting from her, had plenty of roots on her. I have a question, maybe you can answer, do all cactuses have flowers? Hope your well.
@@A10TOES as far as I know, yes all cacti flower. But some needs to reach a certain age or size before they will start to flower. 🙂

Yes, that Matucana has the flowers of the day😊👏💞That trichocereus has a beautiful peachy orange flower 🥰I have an echinopsis that had trouble last summer and got a lot of corking, but this year is growing and recovering and even flowered🙏
Yaye for cactus recovery! These pricky ones are toughies most of the time. We growers sometimes give up first even before they do.

Thank you for sharing about "Rainbow Bursts". I had no idea you never know what you're going to get! I stopped looking for "Rainbow Bursts" b/c I was like "I already have one". 🤣 Recently at the big box stores here I don't even get a name so I end up not getting any. It's so hard to know what is what and w/out names I don't know if I have it or not 😂 Love all the new blooms! 😍
Sometimes you will get lucky with the Rainbow Burst. A few has big flowers like an Echinopsis hybrid. But you don’t need to go to big box stores. You are surrounded with so many cactus nurseries in California! 😃
The matucana are generally white or red flower. So it's probably crossed between them for the nice pink.

wow, that's a cool gymnocalycium mihanovichii, I have a little baby one. It came to me with fungus gnats... It's winter now so I can't repot it yet.

Oh, i have one exactly like that one 1:23. I wish I could share the bloom (mine only had one). She is in bud now but has several, awesome sauce!

Gorgeous blooms, Ana. I’ve never seen a Matucana madisoniorum with pink flowers before, they’re usually red/orange or white, so maybe it’s a cross between those two colours? The Rose Quartz you sent me a few years ago is in bud, can’t wait for the flowers on that to open 😁 Thank you for sharing with us as always, Ana. The cactus looks like a Madisoniorum. 🤔 You could be right, might be a cross. Oh that is great news about the Rose Quartz! Once it starts blooming, it will produce more and more every year. Make sure you show me when the flower opens. 😃
I am very impressed by this matucana!!! I've had a red one years ago, I've seen white ones(Lyn & Hans) but never a pink one!!! Very rare I would think!!! Love all the rainbow bursts!!! I am puzzled with the Matucana flower color too. Daz said maybe it was a cross between orange and white or red and white matucana. I should get another Matucana so this will have a partner to cross with.
