I’ve got a .30 cal HP. Had it since sept of 2021. I’ve never had a single feeding/cycling issue. If you don’t exceed the 3600 psi it should work fine. If anything I’m converting mine to a bolt action because I’m wanting to get more thump out of it. I will say it grouped pellets great, out to 75-80 yards, but it didn’t like slugs. Another video somewhere in the UA-camverse stated that the barrel is actually .303 cal and that resolved his issues with slug accuracy. Bought some from NSA still haven’t had the time to play with them yet.
I truly hope you have got the Crono issue resolved, FX says under Profile Settings MINIMUM RETURN-REQUEST should be on 10% for the Crono to capture every Shot. Good Luck!
I have had my HP SS in .30 cal purchased 4 years ago. I have never fired it as it won't take air. AEA refuses to fix it. looks good on the wall. that's all it is good for. wall hanger. I have been unable to locate any air gunsmiths in central Florida.
Did you get the semi auto fixed in your AEA HP? Mine shot in full auto, took a while but I figured it out. It was in the trigger group. I didn't hear your trigger clicking when you released it. Should click on pull and release.
You are getting great groups! I've got the AEA HP SS in 25 caliber with just the standard size tank. Right now I'm running the H&N Grizzly 31 grain slugs and can't group very well at all after about 15 or 20 yards. How many yards are you shooting? I'm thinking about converting mine to bolt action, I'm just wondering if I will be able to fire it semi-auto if I just keep the bolt pressed up. Maybe make some kind of quick lockout so I can change back and forth on the fly kind of like the new model that came out a week after I ordered mine.
I was having a real problem with mine cycling pellets as well, the pellet probe would just push through the side of the skirt so I switched to slugs and haven't had a problem since.
When you converted it to bolt action what keeps the bolt from flopping around since the semi auto barrel spring is gone? Is there some sort of detent when you drop the bolt into the down notch? Will it just flop open if you tip the gun sideways? Also did you notice that the gun was quieter in the bolt action configuration?
There is a notch at the bottom of the bolt charging handle slot, the bolt handle will slide right into it, and is held in place by friction. The gun is much quieter as a bolt action
My guess, without playing with yours, is that you only needed to restrict a couple holes in piston (should have 4). Plug 2 and restrict 2. Shame to have a semi auto with such a good design, gone single shot
It’s a bad design since it doesn’t work without modification. Where can I buy the plugs? Or what can I make them out of that could withstand the cycling?
@@dackbowland1876 Touche... I would look for some solid rubber plugs with a flange/lip that fit the holes. The first guy a saw do this actually 3d printed his, but I'm sure you can find something already manufactured for something else. Since the pressure is really only from one side, that would be the flange side.
@@robmack151 I’ve seen that one as well with the 3d printer. Idk how much pressure does it take? I guess I’ll cut them out of test tube stopper or something. Just sucks that u have to do this for it to work and be reliable

Even the best of air guns have their lemons. I have an HP aea carbine. Not a single problem.
Can you still say that today? Just curious
Nice video man! And sweet new moderator!
Great grouping. Thanks for taking the time to film it. I like the lever action conversion.

Thanks man! Those were all shot at 35 to 40 yards, and if I remember correctly, I was shooting 29 grain slugs

I gotta get a bottle clamp, so that I can use a bi-pod…..lol
What Size Carbon Fiber Bottle did you use? 480cc or 580cc? Really need to know. Thanks Mark
480

Thanks for the information.
Love you videos by the way.👍

Hi from France super job on your aea , what barrel have you on it ? 👍🇫🇷🥂🇺🇸
The 8” barrel
Without the duck, this could have been a very good 5 minute video.
To be fair though, later in the video when you get to the shooting, it was brilliant!
Dang duck… lol
@@OH8STN yeah, I hear you on that, and appreciate it. My videos are kind of all over the place, more of a VLOG than anything else I guess.
Mine cycles fine as long as I stick to jsb 33.95gr heavies. Anything lighter and it jams up. Might do this anyway though🥹
Sho gun got it.

Very valid point
@@swampfoxadventures4290 Yeah, I thought to myself that you are not familiar with how radar works.
