My size 1 does not have a head clip and therefore does not stay on. It relies on the ears and his ears are down so it slips right off....he gets it off right away.
I have tried to order this on line but it is too frustrating. My dog's snout length fits their specifications but muzzle width is too far off and I don't see how this "shaping" method would allow me to make the circumference smaller. Really irritating.
Old video and new viewer. Does anyone know if the size one (1) would fit a dog with a short snout similar to a Pekingese or King Charles Spaniel? Thanks.
Thw demonstration would have worked better if a dog with a blond or beige coat were used. Or even a stuffed dog model; it is hard to see the straps on a dog that's got black on his head. Also a better view of the straps and slow motion of attachment to dog would have been helpful
I bought two Baskerville muzzles for my dog. Size 2 and 3. I don't know which should I keep. Size 2 is a little bit short (it's not pressing his nose on it, but I don't think there is 1 cm between the muzzle and his nose). Size 3 is so big, that he can fit whole head inside it and it moves up and down so he can't see in it sometimes. Also he takes it off effortlessly. I don't know how to choose. Might baskerville not be for all dog sizes? I would like to add (which might be useful), that I want to make my dog were a muzzle all the time we are outside, because he eats a lot of trash outside and as careful as I try to be, he is able to sneak something from time to time. I try to train him to eat only from me, but he is an adult, street dog, used to looking for food, that I got from a shelter some time ago. Teaching him anything takes time and we already had some stressful situation (like bone stucking inside him, that he fortunately threw up).
Have you tried bending the top & bottom rubber of the smaller of the two, (when hot- water-pliable), shaping it to fit his narrow nose & open-mouthed panting style, then you may have to hot-dip it again to push out the front, nose part hard with a blunt tool so it stretches out & his nose gets more room?
I bought one and it works fine but then my dog matured a little more. It fits fine in length but he can not longer open his mouth far enough to pant. It also is tight on his cheeks. I can not soften enough for proper fitting. I need one that has a larger basket bit the same length. is that possable?
The dog examples of the 2 likely sizes do not fit my problem dog. He is a highly reactive mix of a rare asian dog with an unusual mouth (UFD aka Mini PiXiu dog)and Auggiedale. The mouth looks short but opening is past the eye under a heavy thick cheek. The head is thick as is the neck. Head circumference is 32 cm on a 7.2kg dog.
Its a piece of shit, doesn't work very well at all. No clip on mine either and can be removed without undoing the plastic clip connector. Total waste of time and money.
@@tddferon8487 maybe it's the wrong size? Or missing a step? I had the same issue when I bought it but was just missing a step and works great now.. Huskies are a handful
You are wrong. A lot of dogs trust their owners but are still aggressive to others. My dog is super friendly but she has an obsession with eating sticks. We use the muzzle to stop the cycle of eating sticks so we can train her. Muzzles are used for many reasons.
for the head strap as you mention, I never received that metal clip like thing to attach it to the collar with...
It would be nice if she actually explained how the muzzle should fit and how to properly measure
That's what I'm here looking for too.
@@jakefilmore Same here. This video is useless.

Hi, to what do you connect the head strap. On mine there is nothing to connect it to. Thanks ahead
Robin Ehn thank you very much Robin!

he also has pretty narrow nose and likes to run with his mouth fully open.

You can reshape them in hot water
@@OGKush831 Maybe reshape but you are not going to make it larger
@@colleendouglas7311 true but I was thinking just go a size up and reshape it if it seems to big.. should be doable
What size muzzle do I need for Australian cattle dog?
4
Is that the largest size?
Largest size I've seen is Size 6

The straps at the bottom are not adjustable.
My dog can flip this thing off his ears. So far it doesn’t work for us

same issue here, never getting another bakersville product again

I don't think all the muzzles have clips, there are several different products.
Turn off the idiotic digital noise and show a proper video .
Useless. Need to show what strap is what and where they go. Thanks for nothing.
Sorry but was a useless waste of time and money, my dog got it off within seconds. Very disappointed.
Why do your videos say different things? One says heat for 2 mins this one says 5 mins. You clearly don't even know what you're talking about.
Any dog that allows you to put muzzle on should not have a muzzle on

Lol yeah sure you've never had a dog with high prey drive lol, they're the nicest dogs until they see something small and fast.
Any idiot this stupid should not have a dog😂
