my opinion on this is, if you want to bleach your skin, that's fine, cuz at the end of the day, it is yours. but the problem is, when your famous and you go bleaching your skin (knowing how media's like towards dark skinned people in general), your not sending the right message towards ur dark skinned fans. with fame comes power and with power comes influence. I bet a lot of insecure fans will feel more comfortable bleaching their skin now, rather than being proud of their beautiful brown skin.
I think people get upset cause it seems to send a message that there's something 'wrong' with darker skin. Personally I'm not a fan of weaves either. But contacts and weaves are reversible, I'm not sure if bleaching is? Plus some bleaching agents have chemicals which damage your health over time. It's the same principal as excessive tanning. And at the end of the day what's sad, is people seem to be chasing someone else's idea of beauty, and worrying about what others think of them.
