@@andrewbellringer404 they aren't very accurate unless you manually adjust them. And it's not as easy as it sounds. I've had a Howard Miller wall clock for about 7 months now and still can't get it to keep accurate time. It loses about 2 minutes a day and I'm still adjusting the pendulum trying to stabilize it. I've set the beat and everything
I hate to complain but damn, man... did you have to drag that key across the face to find the hole? The clock face is going to look like a catchers mitt in 10 years.
Can these clocks be "overwound" Im trying to get mine working but dont want to turn the key to hard, pendulum goes a few minutes & chimes but seems momentum aint full force to then keep going - Thanks
Thanks for the winding video. I see this runs on springs and not weights. I had a winding chiming clock years ago. Now I have Quartz.
Wind-up clocks are better. Agree?
P James yes I agree with you but will they work well?
@@pjames8673 i hate to say this but i think mechanical timepieces are expensive

My thoughts exactly!!
I can find the hole a lot better now. The clock’s face looks just fine right now and it will stay that way for years to come.
Why did you move the hour hand to the 10 even though the clock struck the right number of times

This is from 1986.
winding is fine, but as for arrows, manual says to only more minute arrow COUNTERclockwise.
My instructions say minute hand clockwise or counter clockwise.
That’s bs
Whoever has written that Manuel was drunk
I love ur channel I also want a clock like this or the whole collection. Where did u get most of them?
All these clocks (except for one) do not belong to me. They are in homes of people that I have been friends with for so many years.
That is Howard Miller Jenison
How do you shut if off at night when you want to sleep?
Switch it to “silent”.
@@pjames8673 where do you find the switch to silence it? Thank you!
@@everettharry8789 On the face, right hand side.
Just turn it a bit more next time, so we can watch the springs go flying.
I’d rather not.
That would uh be deadly
That could break it
@@BakerFamily123well spotted captain obvious!
This clock has to be from the 80’s.
It is
From 1985
That's why they started to produce this model, the Jennison, but they still sell it and now, brand new, it's $2299.00!!
Do you know if there is a volume adjustment or shut off on this clock?
A shut off is on this clock. Volume is only on quartz clocks.
Alanna de Vlugt, you actually can adjust the hammers up, to get a quieter volume or no volume from at all
@Alanna de Vlugt He’s right.
How do you know when to stop winding
When you feel any tightness, stop winding.
Oh
