This is the turning point where Rem becomes a beloved character and where people start wishing she and Subaru were a couple. It's unbelievable to think that Rem initially murdered Subaru, but once you understand everything behind it between her and the witch cult, you see how someone who isn't evil can seem evil for an instant from the wrong perspective
nah, maybe some people but i genuinely think episode 15 and 18 are the turning points when people really start shipping them. this is just when rem herself falls in love with subaru. faroh is already ahead on her patreon but even so i wont go into specifics. i see what you mean tho, this is def where they start getting a lot of chemistry. but the their relationship really starts progressing in the next episodes which is where i think the shipping becomes more reasonable to do. in retrospect this does seem like “the moment” but thats only because we already know what happens. i see some people ship them here or think theyre cute, but his relationship with emilia is still more developed by this point

LMAO i love your distrust for roswaal, it so fucking funny. roswaals outfit does have similar colors to the witch cultists, but his is like a jester/clown outfit. while they have religious inspired hoods (you see similar ones like these in spain and highly catholic countries) also the colors for them are more dark purple/blue while roswaal is a more noble or regal purple to signify his status. the similarity is interesting tho… but im not even sure as a novel reader if thats intentional or not this was a great reaction, im assuming youre a bit farther ahead but even so these next episodes are really rough so good luck 👍🏼

I could be mis-remembering, but Twins are Taboo because they USUALLY inherently diminish the power of a single Oni between two souls/individuals. Oni were special in this world(and thus, genocided out of existence) because they are inherently stronger that most people and can eat Mana out of the atmosphere better than any other race, thanks to their horns. Being powerful, thus being able to protect your race on the verge of irradication is probably a bid deal, but it prolly doesn't track solidly with the logic of Killing one of the two to ensure their strength. That being said, they could just have more kids that would be more powerful individually. It just so happens that this time, one of the twins turned out to be a reincarnation of the Oni God or something like that.
