How can you connect this winch to a Malibu two ocean kayak? Sometimes I need to crank it up when my wife doesn’t want to get her shoes wet

Should I replace the winch if it comes loose when I’m driving down a bumpy road? It is a older winch

Try tightening the winch hardware. If the winch still comes loose then it's time to replace the hardware and possibly the winch itself.

I wonder the same thing. I installed mine the other way, so the strap rolls over the stationary bar.
