Can anyone help me decide between this and the 2023 checkpoint alr5 with 2x11 grx groupset? I'm coming from an entry level giant talon 5 mtb 27.5er. I was leaning more towards this for more of a "road" bike and keeping the mtb for more offroad stuff. But I mostly ride paved surfaces
I have this on order in black. The green looks different in reel life with all bolts copper colored. Saw one at trek store.
Someones Preorder
is there any place to see the green in "real" pictures? I ordered a black, but now that I see the green, that look much better.
This looks like a great bike for $1499. At that price it would be perfect.
Yes, for $1499 is excellent. Hope you can get it at that price.
2000.00 not 1500

Your thinking is correct. Keep the MTB for real off road and use this Domane as a road bike.
@@CyclingInsider thanks for the reply
How about comparing this to Specialized Allez with up to 35mm tyre clearance only.
If I were to upgrade the wheels, what would be suitable that is not terribly expensive but enhance performance. Thanks
Have a look at DT Swiss wheels. They are excellent. For example:
www.dtswiss.com/en/wheels/wheels-road/endurance/er-1600-spline
What is the max speed?
Depends how much power you produce :)
Only 38 mm tyres max?? I’ll go with go with Canyon Grizl 7. Checkpoint will be a good spot. Not my type endurance gravel.
It’s a roadbike not a gravel bike
Where can I buy one?
Check with any Trek dealer in your country.
on which Trek site is this bike?
