Loved it as always Ruth, oh my goodness that shawl ❤ Really enjoyed Nigel’s word, he did a wonderful job. We all need reminding about Gods promises for us ❤️
So nice of your husband to share God's word with us. He did a really nice job and I look forward to hearing from him again. Good luck with your brioche! If you're going to have an obsession, that is a good one.😊
Dear Ruth, your brioche is beautiful and those colors 😍 you can’t imagine how the thoughts of Nigel of God‘s word touched my heart. My head was full of sorrows and I was feeling so restless, but now I feel so much better and my heart found my anchor again. Thank you so so much 🤗 best wishes from Manuela
Thank you to your husband for sharing God's word. I wrote down the 7 promises that we can count on with God. I love knitting and i love your podcasts, but the special time with God often leaves me smiling and helping me to remember to keep my focus on God at all times. Thank you for every podcast. I always finish with a smile on my face. Thank You
It was great to spend some time with you today, Ruth and also great to meet Nigel. He did a great job and has a very calming voice. I love your brioche shawl...good for you to learn a new skill..that is one skill that I have not tackled but there are so many beautiful patterns out there. It is always great when you can learn with someone face to face. Thanks for sharing with us!
I always love your words of encouragment at the end of your podcasts. Nigel was perfect. He gives real Mr. Rogers vibes with his steady cadence and calm manner.
You are my favorite podcaster by far. My favorite part is your devotional at the end!! Please tell Nigel thank you for allowing God to use him. I wouldn’t have known he was nervous at all if you hadn’t said so. 😁
I am completely overwhelmed by your kindness. I donated some of my card making stash to a local Mind charity as paying it forward so you have blessed many people Ruth. 🌻xx. Lovely to see Nigel. Well done. X
Your brioche does look like fun. Thanks to your husband for his reading and his encouragement. (And, as for last time, it was so lovely to have your father reading. Never mind people who think that the 'matchup' wasn't perfect!)
First off, I’m shocked that you didn’t have a finished project! Good job on the brioche! I really enjoy your words at the end of your videos and I enjoyed hearing Nigel’s encouragement today. I jotted down the verses to meditate on later. Thank you dear Ruth for brightening my day with your videos!
No finished projects. Brioche will I never but it is beautiful. I have never tried. Happy knitting. Loved the word from Isiah .. presented by your husband ......❤😊❤
I enjoyed Nigel's chat/sermon. He used so many verses I learned when I became a Christian. My life took many turns, career changes, marriage, kids (who are all grown adults with kids of their own, one furry), a divorce (I couldn't even pick out a good one in church) several stints being a student and finally retired life. The Lord has blessed me beyond anything I could ever have hoped for. Thanks Nigel. I hope I spelled your name right.
Thank you for another wonderful podcast, Ruth! Please tell Nigel that his message was exactly what I needed to hear today… full of my favorite verses…but he put them together in a way that just blessed my tired heart. Blessings on all of you!
Hi Ruth. Love the brioche. You are doing really well with it. I knew Nigel's name but had never heard him speak. Great message and very calming voice. Thank you both. x
Another brilliant podcast Ruth. Congrats on conquering brioche. I have bypassed it when I see it. Tell Nigel he was a great blessing so much truth from just one verse from God's word. Truly blessed. Thank you and look forward to the next one. ❤
Your Brioche shawl is beautiful. I’m not sure if I will ever be brave enough to try it. Your podcast can never be too long for me. I enjoy every minute. Nigel has a very soothing voice and he was truly a blessing.
No FOs??? 😱 Well butter my behind and call me a biscuit!! Your brioche is gorgeous!! And loved the verses and beautiful words from Nigel. Thanks for sharing, as always ❤ you have no idea how much I needed it. But then again, maybe you did! 😊
Congratulations on learning Brioche. It is so enjoyable to do. I have made that shawl twice and now you have put a bee in my bonnet to make another one. No one will ever notice the mistakes.
O, do thank Nigel for his words ! ( and as I don't know him, or how he usually sounds; I couldn't really tell he was nervous anyway ). That was a very comforting passage. Thank you for another lovely episode, and your generosity to even double that giftaway ! On the knitting; I can totally see why you're obsessed :) Your shawl is going to be so lovely and squishy ! The star mist sock pattern looks gorgeous as well, I can see why you would want to cast on asap..
Well done learning brioche, that's my next challenge. I have the Ramble shawl by Andrea Mowry lined up for it 😉 Thank your husband for his wonderful words, great reminders of God's love for us 😊
Your husband has such a safe and calming way to speak. And very clear and easy to understand, even though English isn't my first language (and I love accents!). Isaiah 41:10 is one of my favourites. I have written it into a song many, many years ago and we used to play it a lot in different events with my friend.
Ruth, great podcast. Thank you for sharing Nigel with us. Nigel you were great, I very much related to your reading. Ruth, I love your excitement about brioche. I am pretty good at brioche but super terrible at twisted rib! I recognize your passion and excitement with your brioche project because I feel the same inside and out with my sock knitting adventure. All the best, Joyce
I recently found you! Thank you Soooo very much for all you give and do just through your videos.. today hearing your husband speak from Isaiah 41 was truely exactly what I needed to be reminded of as I am going through a rough thing and fighting the temptation to be discouraged alot ... May our focus be God and His great promises and blessings 🙏 thank you from Oregon and please thank your sweet husband for sharing ☺️
I love the brioche shawl you are knitting. It's so beautiful. Your colors are exquisite. It was so nice to see and hear from Nigel. He did so good, and i wouldn't have known he was nervous if you hadn't told us. Well done, Nigel.
Oh happy day! Great to listen to another podcast! Thanks for encouraging me to consider brioche knitting 🧶. I’ve felt the same fear about trying it, particularly when people say it’s the tinking back that can be challenging. Thanks to Nigel for being strong and courageous to share God’s Word with us!
Hi Ruth! I have been afraid of brioche also! 😬 Maybe I will take courage from you and give it a try! 🤔 Your shawl will be Stunning at completion! Thank you to Nigel, I Loved hearing him speak God’s word! Thank you for your Podcast, I do Love seeing all of your makes and listening to what you’re up to! ❤
I so enjoyed Nigel's little devotional which helped calm my fearful spirit today! And as always loved what you shared about your knitting! I keep meaning to learn brioche myself but haven’t yet had the time. Soon I hope.
Thank you Nigel - a message very needed this week for myself. Life stresses seem to have hit me all at once this week from Mother in Law going to Long Term Care, needing a Root canal, to 2 cars needing repairs, and somehow in there the need to work. Thank you and Bless you both 😊
Congratulations to the winners! You can tell Nigel he did a great job. He spoke with a calm voice and it was so nice to here him speak. Love the brioche shawl.
Thanks for another podcast Ruth. I attempted brioche as one of the first things I knitted and gave up! In currently doing crochet brioche though and loving it! Nigel’s little chat was lovely, perfect speed and I didn’t notice any nerves.
Loving your new obsession Ruth. And what a lovely husband you have. Nice to see Nigel, tell him that he has a very calming and soothing voice. Bet everyone loves to listen to him. Xx
Ruth, I seldom comment but well done on the brioche. Your joy while you chat about everything is what keeps me here, as well of course all your projects. But it’s definitely your joy that pulls me back. Lovely to see your dad last time and your husband this time. Makes me feel I know you more if that makes sense. God Bless, keep safe, and continue spreading your love - it’s contagious.
Thank you for another lovely podcast. I was only thinking yesterday of you. I just messaged a friend in need and then your husband shared a very encouraging message from The Bible. Perfect! Many thanks for your “company” whilst I knit.
So happy you're into brioche! Your shawl is just beautiful and so much you've done in such a short time - but I know how addictive it is. I learnt brioche this time last year and my first project was the extraordinary Brioche O'clock by Julie Knits in Paris. Then I did the beautiful Dottie Jane shawl by Lesley Anne Robinson, which incorporates some lace sections as well, and now I have two major projects on my needles as background knits, for when I need that brioche fix between other projects - a second Brioche O'clock, and Stephen West's Flying Foxtails wrap. So, welcome to the Brioche addicts anonymous, 🤣🤣 🤣 Love your channel too - thank you xx
That shawl and the color way looks beautiful!!❤ My sister in love just shared your podcast with me and I love it. I love the sharing of Gods word!! Thank you for being a light in this crazy world. Thank you Nigel for sharing this devotion. Im looking forward to watching more of your podcasts. ❤
Congratulations on learning brioche. I enjoy your podcast so much. Thank you to your father and husband for the devotionals, too. God bless you and your family.
Your husband had the exact words that I needed to hear this morning. I found out yesterday that I may be losing my job and it is very fearful. I know that God has a plan and that this does not take Him off guard. I am praying for guidance from Him for the next step. Please share with your husband how much his words encouraged me. Bless you both!
So lovely to see you both today, Nigel did a great job and it was nice to meet him. Ruth, your knitting is beautiful and never mind about your mistakes in your shawl, learning is all about mistakes, it’s what makes us grow and your daughter is right.🧶💜
Love your Cinnabar, Ruth! The color is awesome. Brioche is so much easier to fix than Fisherman’s Rib. I watch your podcast every time it is on. I don’t always comment so thought I would say hello. I asked you to pray for my husband when he was I’ll. You were so kind. He passed a year ago. Miss him so much.
Huge thank you to Nigel! Always enjoy your videos Ruth. I have tried brioche in a sweater yoke and my tension was absolute rubbish! I keep meaning to try it again….maybe a simple cowl
Ruth! I think I can speak for all of us and honestly say we NEVER want your podcasts to be short….we think you’re awesome! I’m actually knitting a Salty Air Tee as I watch…love yours! I feel we are kindred spirits across the pond as I have been resistant to brioche for some unknown reason…..but now I may join my friend, Ruth, and learn it as well!!
How lovely to meet your husband and his calm words. I’m so glad you are enjoying your new found brioche obsession! I have never tried but my obsession at the moment is spinning and I don’t want to stop! Thank you Ruth and Nigel for a lovely episode x
I've only done brioche once...maybe 2yrs ago. It was for the Exploration Station by Stephen West. I was proud of myself, but there were a few glaring mistakes that I had no idea of how to fix. I was determined that this year, I'd attempt brioche again. So, I'm going to knit a little summer tee for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday in July. I'll do the Summerlicious pattern, which has brioche in the yoke, wish me luck! Have a look at the pattern...it goes from child to adult sizes 😊
Lovely to see you again Ruth. You are very brave tackling Brioche. Well worth it though 😊as the shawl is gorgeous. It was great to hear from Nigel. His message came over loud and clear so I hope he will speak to us again and not feel nervous.
I’ve always wanted to try Brioche but find it very daunting , I may give it a go now having watched you mastering it ,thank Nigel for sharing his faith with us
I'm not a person of faith, but I always listen to your messages and they give me a sense of calm. Thanks to your dad and husband for sharing with us.
Thank Nigel for his wonderful thoughts on God’s word. Your podcast always makes my day.
Enjoy hearing from your husband. He has such a calming voice and message. 😊
