    The M7 has two dials on the front to change the stitch length and width as well. It’s a great machine! I love my M7❤️

    I would love to see a comparison on janome vs pfaff for a garment sewer and in the lower price range. I don't know if you guys have many Bernina machines but a comparison between a pfaff and a bernina also for a garment sewist and on the lower price range would be even more appreciated!
    Thank you and love the videos!

    I have the 6700 (had the 6600 before that) and absolutely love it, especially the HP foot for accurate quilt piecing.

    I have both machines (actually the 6600, the predecessor to the 6700, which is also a sweetheart of a machine. I will NEVER get rid of my 6600 as it is not only beautiful to look at, but a workhorse and a fantastic machine. However, I must say, once I turned on my M7 a year ago, I haven't used anything else. It is so great having so much space and it does everything well. It is huge though and I will continue using my Bernina 380 for classes and retreats.

      Hi! Sorry for the random question. I am looking at possibly purchasing this machine and was wondering if you could tell me if any part of the arm (or the area surrounding the needle plate) can be removed?
      I have been researching but can't seem to find any mention of it. My current machine has a part that can be removed from the arm to make it smaller and I find this really useful for when needing to sew in tight or enclosed areas. TIA.

    I wanted to know if with the M7 you have to buy the teflon foot for the faux leather and the 5 mm piping foot or if you can use one of the feet supplied with the machine. I find it odd that they are not provided because they are however widely used in sewing.

    I mainly make objects (bags, kit, etc.) on my machine. I hesitate between the MC 9450 QCP, the MC 6700 P and the M7. However the 9450 is more expensive than the 6700 P which nevertheless seems to be more efficient. What do you think ?

    • @rockymountainsewingandvacuum
      @rockymountainsewingandvacuum  Рік тому

      The MC9450 is also very similar to the Janome MC15000, but it only has the sewing capability. It allows you to utilize the free arm, which the MC6700P and the Continental M7 does not have. We've seen some people make fabulous bags from the MC9450 as well! The MC9450 has more decorative stitches and includes the quilting guide as well, just for a few quick differences! We'll keep this in mind for This or That's on the future.

      @@rockymountainsewingandvacuum Excuse me but you haven't answered my question. I was asking the difference between MC 9450 QCP, the MC 6700 P and the M7 Brother?

    • @rockymountainsewingandvacuum
      @rockymountainsewingandvacuum  Рік тому +1

      @@cathyteramo8630 There are several differences between these machines.
      The Janome Continental M7 is their current top of the line sewing machine. It has 13" of space from the needle to the base of the machine, and includes many accessories. It also has a ball-bearing motor, meaning its piercing power and longevity are longer. There is no free-arm on this machine, but it works with the Janome AcuAssist App for tips and advice on every screen of the machine.
      The Janome MC9450QCP is more of your typical home sewing machine. It has a free-arm, but also has a big color touch screen on the right of the machine. It has storage on the top of the machine, and the length from the needle to the base of the machine is 11".
      The Janome MC6700P has a lot of power behind it. It does not have a freearm and it has 10" between the needle and the base of the machine. It is more of a manual selection screen instead of a color touch screen.
      All three of these machines are equipped with many presser feet including the AcuFeed Flex foot and an extension table. They all will do a fabulous job for sewing, but it just depends on what your personal preference of features you'd like to have is! If you haven't, we'd recommend coming in and giving them a test drive so you can see which one is the best for you.
