Dorian murdered Angelique BECAUSE he's evil. This effigy of a human being has no soul. His soul is locked in the painting. He only play-acts at love. He had already bored of Angelique and was spending time with Lily because her lies and mysteries intrigued him.
+LucisFerre1 or he's just a sociopath and/or a narcissist. I don't think he's playacting at emotions, I think he's just really into himself which is represented in the painting to start with
+Zara Hoffman I agree- but in all fairness the character of Dorian seems less dynamic than Frankenstein [heard Harry say he actually talked to scholar about medicine in Victorian era] or the creature [even though killing Angelique caught me totally off-guard]- but feel like most of the other actors, beside Reeve and Josh seem most like 'thespian actors' if that makes any sense- especially Rory [what a great actor he is!]
Reeve wasn't playing Dorian as purely evil. Since he was told by the show's creator Logan they were going in a different direction than the book, he was trying to find the humanity in Dorian as he's explained in other interviews. He was playing Dorian to be more relatable, more as an anti-hero than a straight-out villain. And Dorian did help save Frankenstein from getting killed by Lily & Justine. .
Yeah, the death of Angelique was messed up. She was so good, & she truly truly loved Dorian. But the way I took it was it was Dorian's character to get bored fast. He was bored of Angelique, but she loved him and the narcissist in him didn't want the shame of dumping her for that reason. So he killed her.
Picture this showdown: Ethan and Vanessa vs Dorian and Lily. That has to be a thing in season 3. It'll be so emotionally charged, what with Ethan and Lily/Brona, and Vanessa and Dorian, and the fact that Dorian has slept with everyone in the room :P
Reeve is pretty.. REALLY pretty, like a picture! for that he is a perfect fit for Dorian, but I think he lacks intensity and evilness Dorian is suppose to have...
First interview I've watched of him, and my god he's adorable. I especially enjoyed him talking about working with Harry.
As a student of literature and film, when reading the Gothics, I never thought Dorian would be this good looking and charming. Reeve changed my mind.
Michael is so passionate in this interview...
Love Reeve. He is one beautiful human being, and so talented. And I wish Dorian wasn't so evil, I want to believe in his charm!

+LucisFerre1 haha you understood dorian better than the actor- he's apparently just a pretty face

The guy playing the creature is an amazing actor.

If you pay attention to his words in the end...he tells the young girl I've seen a 1000 Lily's.
