I've seen Arcade Fire several times but I think they've reached their peak around 2011. Since Reflektor, I think they lost their raw passion when performing live, which made them really outstanding. They're still great live, but it feels like something is missing nowadays.
The Suburbs tour with the nice stage design of that old cinema boards was just great. When I saw them performing Month of May back then in 2011 on Hurricane festival, ,I was blown away. It felt like Queens of the Stone Age turning their amps to eleven. Best concert I've ever attended.
You know, I actually think their Reflektor concerts are some of their best. I do get what you mean, The Suburs tour was definetely full of energy, but even their Everything Now tour has so much to offer. Anyway, gonna look for their Hurrican fest videos now.
Agreed. Your observation that "something is missing" since Reflektor is spot on. Except that the peak in my opinion was the Neon Bible tour, because they had the horn section (Stetson, Pratt) which took their live performances to a different level.

After their first two albums IMO their live shows became often labored and just a tiny bit weary. But they are on fire here!
Just amazing! I love watching them do my favorite AF song, 'Suburban War' live. . I wish they would have played it at Outside Lands, but they did do an awesome version of the rarely played 'Empty Room'. This band is so epic! : )
Nobody can start a show like them. This show was absolutely gorgeous and awesome.

When you think that atoms got themselves together, first to become atoms, and then to gradually build up into individual entities, the ones in the crowd, the ones in even the bass guitar, and the ones in the band members of the arcade fire. That's a special congregation of atoms right there
Best performance of Month of May I've seen, rivaled perhaps by the Grammy performance.
