Angel Olsen is a stunning singer-songwriter who had been on our radar for a few years now. We finally got her in studio for a live session while she was in Los Angeles opening an arena show for Arcade Fire and it was everything we could have hoped for.

I don't get it. KCRW, you have great recording equipment, and yet you still manage to make poor quality live sessions with amazing artists. You really need to work on your camera direction, video editing, and sound mixing. You have great potential, there is a nice room to record in, pretty good microphones; you just have to try harder and take this more seriously.
She’s so underrated
They usually film these radio live shows really early in the morning and the band just wakes up early as hell and rolls in fresh off the road and plays. They probably are burned out, but it just goes to show the beautiful songwriting. It works as a drum and distortion heavy banger, but it also works as a more subdued song too. Both sound beautiful.
Don't have the camera in line with the vocal mic. We can't see her singing.
Those drums need to go waaay up
Curtis Sisler it requires more cowbell, methinks
band seems tired and burned out, either from touring, playing this song or wearing those suits -- or all three....That's OK. All bands have down days. The show must go on...Check out the same song on Stephen Colbert for a better, more lively version. Or her recent show on Austin City Limits.
this is not the band's performance. this studio fucked up the sound production big time.
Wow the mix is terrible!!
Doeke Bekius it is on most of these KCRW videos, sadly. Waste of a live session recording.
My thoughts exactly. Dire need of bottom and drums here.
She was at the Paramount last night.
HI KCRW please hire me as your new cameraman. this cameraman is a bad cameraman. THANK YOU
I think I met her mom she told me she had a daughter who sings. And I listen to her song before her mom went somewhere downtown mpls..i was put at ease by the conversation and enjoying her daughter singing..that what I felt. EW wow I thought I forgot her name.
She reminds me of her anyway after one listening and viewing. Ew
this video left me feeling very unsatisfied
Wheres the energy from the studio version in the chorus?
Buried in the mix
I feel lik Jr High students made this
Buena música y buenísima puesta en escena.
YESSS
LOVE HER
those suits collect stains in the crotches
Must have been a long tour.
Matthew Moss I don't think she's ever looked good for a radio show. I think part of it's just not getting dressed up.
this is an awful rendition
I adore angel olsen but her backup singer moog player ....not so much
yeaaa ditto
