I own a whole lot of Japanese and American/Canadian brands too. Iron heart BY FAR is the most comfy, best constructed, best fading and most robust pair I own. They’re expensive, but certainly worth the hype, they just feel like nothing else.
Your videos gotta some of the most informational videos I've watched that just get straight to the point and are still entertaining to watch. 👏🏼 Hell yeah!
Totally agree, relaxed tapered or even straight tapered(which shouldnt be a thing at all but it is) , are the way to go. They still follow your leg line nicely but they have extra room. Specially if you have strong legs, they do compliment your physique the right way rathen than looking like a sausage. I do understand that some guys need to wear slim jeans cause the way have very thin legs, but nobody ahould ever wear skinny. You might think you look good, but you dont.
I like loose and relaxed fit jeans, and like them coming down over my boots. Waaayyyy past the point in my life where I dress to impress anyone other than myself. Ill take comfort all day long
Thank you! Levi’s in a dark wash in a 502, 511, or 512 look great with a sport coat. Why are people paying 400.00 for a pair of jeans they say are dressier? 511 jeans last me 6 or 7 years for 60 bucks. I don’t get paying 400 for Japanese denim … any thoughts? I have the money to buy them but I don’t see the value in doing it. Thank you.
I'm 5'10" weigh 220 lb. Workout 5 sometimes 6 times a week. Slim straight lee's have been perfect for my Thursdays captains. I'll probably go with a good straight pair for my bulkier timberlands.
Currently breaking in a pair of IH 777 19 oz LHTs. I recommend wearing polyester/spandex underwear during break-in of Iron Heart jeans. If you wear cotton underwear, in 2-3 days you will most likely have 2 read lines on your butt from the stitching (speaking from experience). Swapping underwear was a game changer. Props to the guys who are able to break in 21-25 oz denim....Not sure I could do it after my experience so far.
Wondering who is coming up with such rules like over 30 can not wear skinny jeans. Are they setting the trend, or is there any legit rule? Come on; it’s about your body and what suits/look better, most notably, which makes feel happy and comfortable. Just go with those!! I appreciate your opinions, though!
Agree 100%. Wear what is comfortable, and feels and looks right to you. We are all built differently. At 5'9" and 140lbs, I swim in straight cut jeans. I prefer slim fit in the top box and then straight or min. taper to the hem. YMMV.
It just doesn't make you look good or MATURE, super skinny jeans look more immature cause younger generations, once you get older and care about style all slim fits things you realise work best with absolutely everything as well and makes you look more MODEST, dress for success
While I do agree buying straight leg cut jeans for men over 30 the only thing is every time I buy Levi's 501's I take them to my seamstress to get them tapered. C'mon guys. You have to show off those beautiful boots! It irks me a little bit when I see guys with quality boots half covered by a wide leg opening jeans. And Levi's jeans are pretty cheap too.
Have you tried Origen Jeans. This year for Christmas I got two pairs of their indigo factory jeans. They are with out a question the most comfortable jeans I own. For reference until I got these one I was a 501 man. Both in black and in Indigo. The break in was like three washings. Origin make two lines of jeans the afore mentioned factory jean and the Delta Jean. I don’t own the delta jean which is more of a fitter or fighter cut. That is not me. At 205 pounds and six foot tall. I find the jeans have a beautiful break where they contact my boots or shoes. I have heard that origin recently started making a boot cut in the lighter Delta jeans. Have yet to see a review of the look. No I am not paid in any way for my comments by Origen however I do,like the fit and comfort of their jeans. As far as foot wear goes I am a Clark Fan (their desert boot) and a real fan of the Red Backs from Down Under. At the moment I am reading the reviews on the Truman Boots Company. Really Thinking their Black Tea Core boot or shoe. Value any feed back on this. 😊😊😊😊😊
@@BootSpyAs you've probably heard being in the area, the old Draper X3 looms were sent to Vidalia Mills in Louisiana. I don't think Raleigh Denim's current business model selling only $450 pairs of jeans is sustainable long term. I've heard they're working on an All-American pair of denim they'll be selling for a hundred bucks at some point. It wouldn't surprise me if those jeans used. Vidalia denim...
@@BWM135 I JUST saw an ad for those. VERY intruguing. I'm probably going to get a pair myself. And that's fascinating re: those looms going to Vidalia. I'm not familiar with the deep textile stuff, but have been learning a lot about NC textiles (through my sock company, Camel City Mill, which is Winston based and manufactured in NC).
@@Jiggy609 you sure they are straight, and not "relaxed fit ", those are the worst.. Also there is "tapered straight" fit..so it's roomy and straight from thigh to knee.. then tapers to a 7.5" or 7"opening .
Wtf I ain't buying a single pair of $350 jeans screw that. Also... Why does everyone say "pair of jeans" when it's not a pair of anything? Adhd moment...

My favorite type is a relaxed taper, plenty of room in the thighs but still tapers below the knee. Naked and famous easy guy is a good relaxed taper.

Thanks for covering this topic! Do you mind sharing what is that suede looking trucker jacket is? It’s really nice👍
Been waiting for a video like this, thanks!
Heck yeah, glad I could help
Big thigh gang! The bell bottom statement about slim-straight is so true.
that's what I'm talkin' bout!
another great cut from levis I'd recommend is the 541, especially for the fellas out there who want 501s but are on the slightly bigger side.
Love your channel mate, what jacket are you wearing in this video? Looks awesome
Flint and Tinder waxed trucker Jacket
It may be a bit much to ask but could we see a trousers for boots list?
I’m 49 yo guy and looking for the right cut of Jean to wear with black biker boots. Can you recommend?
Thoughts on wearing Levis 505s with drMartens?
Have you tried the Levi’s 541?
Those new edits though! Loved it, hilarious. Maybe not every video, but some cheeky jokes every few uploads is cool
Glad you’re enjoying it!
What's the olive jacket you're wearing?
The Raleigh’s and second the flints look best on you
I’m wearing the Raleigh’s at this very moment! Love ‘em!
@@BootSpy buy multiple shades of those blue jeans and that’s all you’ll ever need.

I still have some old 501s. They seem soooo wide compared to todays jeans.

But how do roll up the jeans?
I don't know if it's just been bad luck, but the last two pair of Levi 501s I bought were carp. Which stinks cause I grew up wearing them.
@Chrome Book hahaha. I just prefer to not write out the word. Like how I use maroon, instead of moron.
You guys are ducking crazy.
I'm putting my future expensive denim in the washing machine and there's nothing anyone can do.
4:48 Bootspy Smash 😡!
I reccomend sleeping in your new tough denim jeans and wearing them around the house. Make sure you don't have light colored bedding though..
BEST BUY FOR THE MONEY IN SELVAGE IS BRAVE STAR OUT OF CALIFORNIA THEY ALSO USE LEFT OVER CONE MILL FABRIC
Ooo sounds tasty, I’ll check ‘em out

I wear Selvedge denim a lot but work jeans like Timberland Grit N Grind and Carhartt Straight Fit go good with engineer, pull-on and moc-toe boots.

That's weird that Raleigh Denim uses Japanese denim to match White Oak when an American company bought the looms from White Oak
Which company bought the looms?

I need a taper and my thighs are bigger than my waist so it's hard to find the right fit.
Buy a lot of Gustin give them a try.
Man this video had me 😂.
I squat the same as you and wear skinny jeans 😎

Dang that skinny jeans comment hurt lol that used to be all the rage when I was 16 😭

Levi’s 501 raw denim shrink to fit. If too pricey or hard to find, Wranglers from Wal Mart.
511 levis all day

The carrot leg look is as bad as bell bottoms. Straight leg with a bit extra room in the thigh is perfect. No less than an 8.5 leg opening.
