In the background, it was her recently deceased grandfather, whom she adored. In another song, she absolutely broke down in tears dedicating the song to him. "Bad Valentine" one of Angelina's newer releases from last year is smokin' hot. She has a couple of videos of her singing the song. Angelina's video with the red Mustang convertible is the hottest. The red car in the official music video, shot in the desert is a 1971 Ford LTD convertible. The Mulholland Drive car was a Ford Mustang. I think the video in the desert is much better than the 1st video with the Mustang. I'm one of those people that you talked about. Found Angelina right after Norway's Got Talent and was lucky enough to go to her first US concert last year in Portsmouth, NH. It's like I'm her proud Auntie!
This is a second tribute to her deceased grandfather. You see her look back at the pictures of him behind her hanging on the wall. And of course she’s dressed in black, her colors for mourning.
Angelina has always been amazing, she is here and she is now. Yes, this was a tribute to her grandfather, Mery's husband, who had died recently. She loved him very much, as does she her grandmother. Her voice here and always has been out of this world. She has been influenced by the greats, but this is Angelina's voice, no one else's. She is so very special.

I love these sessions she did with Ivan Mendez when she was about 12. Raw, under rehearsed and as simple as it gets.
She has just turned 19 and is physically big, a six footer.

Eight year old Angelina’s talent was so deep and sophisticated that there are seasoned adult singers that can not and will never her achieve her uncanny level of technical expertise.
Love Ms. Angelina's voice at any age. She brings something MORE to her performances than most, of any age. As I also believe Ms. Courtney Hadwin and Ms. Daneliya Tuleshova each also do in their performances. These three are SPECIAL!

Krizz, she is AMAZING live. I saw her in LA on 12/14/24 and many of the songs had a jazz flare, as she actually said that at the beginning of the show. I felt b,eased to see her live.
I have seen Angelina perform live twice - once in Las Vegas and once in LA - both unforgettable concerts.

Ivan Mendez
Ivan Mendez is a talented guitarist from LA who auditioned to work with AJ shortly after her family moved from Norway to LA, and often collaborated with Angelina. He was amazed by her voice and how she could tell stories with her songs. He said that every time he heard her sing, he felt like he was in a hypnotic trance. He praised her as the best vocalists he ever worked with, and this is when she was 12, to 13 years old. (CopyRight)

This is a first take. Angelina never rehearsed these after school specials. She and her accompanist would discuss different songs. She would choose one, download the lyrics, agree on a tempo and start recording. She had probably never sung this song before and Ivan, the guitarist, was hearing her sing for the first time.

Yes watching her grow from 2014 to now has just has been amazing! I went to see her in Portsmouth, New Hampshire for her first time public concert in America. It was great experience. I met a lot of people for the first time that I only known from UA-cam! There were some great activities that were planned by the Angels (Angelina's fanbase) for that time. Many fans met at a Tavern at an outside patio before the concert. Since Angelina wanted to see videos of her fans dancing to her music many of them got together the day of the concert to film them dancing in a park to her songs! They even had a choreographer teaching some dance moves beforehand! There was also a project were you could purchase princess roses because they were Angelina's favorite, she got $2500 of them sent to her dressing room. Some fans even provided all the concert goers with daisies to wear at the performance. Angelina had daisies in her hair for pictures releasing her EP. She was surprised to see everyone wearing them. I met a guy from Texas and we spent a few hours together before the show and we had dinner. It was a great time.
One of her early originals is “Million Miles” as a tribute to her grandfather. Check out the studio version of that song at 14 years old. Unbelievable!

this period of the cover channel started right after they moved from Norway to LA.. and Ivan would go to their house and they would pick a song on the spot that they both knew and you can see angelina reading the lyrics the whole time on this video. the tunes she did with Ivan were almost all first takes.. love angelina

@ Who is talking about her father? If you watch the Million Miles video, you'll see her Japanese grandfather on the left. The picture on the right is the same one in both the Happier and Always On My Mind videos.

This definitely was a tribute to her Grandfather whose picture was right over her shoulder. Notice too how she purposely dressed in black as a sign of respect. AJ does this often (but not always) when she is singing a tribute to someone who has passed.
Angelina has been IMMERSED in jazz music since she was about TWO (!😳) and counts many of the legendary greats from the past as her idols. Early on many people compared AJ’s voice with Amy Winehouse’s and Angelina has considered it a high honor to be compared to her.

When see or hear Ivan Mendez playing the guitar for her she is 12. As with most of the songs she did with Ivan the choices she made she did not know the lyrics that is why she looks over at tablet to read the lyrics.
