That Mavuika review might as well be a selling point for Xilonen. And also the fact that we can't still escape Bennett from this meta is such a shame, Mavuika's kit is just so underwhelming to me.
@@ADepressedGuy-l1p Carefull tho, if you trigger Freeze with Claymore character onfield who use Normal or charge attack, Shatter will trigger first. not Melt, either Full Cryo or Double Hydro Xillonen. this also why Alrechino kinda okay in the team setup you saying since polearm type weapon cant shatter except the dmg they dealt is geo

You dont need Bennett. You dont need to squeeze the absolute best damage out of her all the time. Thats your choice. Also you can pull C1 if you don't have Xilonen. Its going to be very worth it anyway. If you guys don't like a character that's one thing, but you're putting yourself through so much mental gymnastics just to justify to yourself not pulling, and its just not reality.

if I am forced yet again to run a main DPS with Bennet to be "optimal" I will shoot my computer. We'll have to find some alternatives to run with Mavuika since it seems MHY's design team is completely unable to create Atk% scalers that incentivize using other supports.

I don't really see the bennet issue that much, he's easy to use and easy to build. You just need er in his artifacts and the highest base atk weapon you can give him. Him being a 4 star is great for newer players as well. Yeah, circle impact has issue but circle impact isn't much of an issue vs most enemies and those it is against can be circumvented.
@@Akaneblaze1345 To be fair you will use Citlali over Zhongli in every team that has pyro carry (and a hydro carry I guess, but you don't really need a shielder in freeze). There isn't any team where Zhongli is optimal anyway, in most teams if you want a shielder you want one with a synergistic element and not one that only shields and provides a small buff.
@twigz3214 he is an overpowered release unit that has been shaping the meta and restricting the design of Atk% scaling DPSs and Supports for 4 years. Outside the point of simple boredom and monotony, he is a character that invalidates every other support in 90% of the teams and that is clearly an issue.
Thanks, you saved my life. I was pulling for Mavuika but I don't have/want to pull for Citlali or Xilolen and for sub dps I already have a good Xiangling. Guess it is saving time for Skirk. P.S : Pull for Arle for sure. She carried me to finally beat hardest levels of Abyss and Theater even at C0
My disappointment with both Mav and Citlali coupled with the confirmation that Skirk will be playable during Natlan is making me skip this entire patch.
No one said that she is going to be playable, otherwise, their saying that she'll appear in some way. If you wanna be desappointed then it's your choice to do so.
Mauvika is the biggest skip of my life. Already have Arle, no point in pulling for a marginal damage increase on a more restrictive character. Which leaves her off field, which yeah sure its better then XL but its also only marginally better and only feels significant simply because off field pyro is the rarest niche in the game. Citlali is my pull of the banner, she just has some compelling support roles as a really solid defensive support who enables more usage of melt and freeze Arle I already have, but I'd say she's overall a "better" pull then Mauvika if you don't intend on going for Xilonen, or if you want a less restrictive character. Her infusing not being gated on time makes it REALLY nice for when bosses like wenut appear in Abyss Clorinde is, as the video suggests, probably one of, if not the, most flexible DPS in the game. The recent event weapon was also a REALLY solid F2P option for her. Before I got a C2 Chasca she was probably my most used DPS (C2 Chasca was ironically obtained in the effort to get C6 Ororon for Clorinde)

@nicole.9271 It depends, do u have any natlan's 5* character? If u have Xilonen, Kinich or Mualani pull for Mavuika. With Xilonen -> Mavuika DPS With Kinich or Mualani-> Mavuika is like Xiangling 2.0 If u didnt pull for Natlan's character, Arlecchino is very Good, and she seems a better option in that case to pull for her. But, The Best option is always wait, the drip marketing is also no far away. U have more that 20 days to decide, u dont have to pull the first Day.

Those graphics depict a character that will be meta but not meta revolutionary, unlike the great previous ones like Nahida and Furina. Bennett still sits on the Pyro throne, the only thing that changed is now Mavuika sits on his right side and Xiangling moved to the left side.
Bennett sucks and I never used him since 1.0 unless I was forced to by some Abyss configuration .I'd rather use Shinobu with a Tenacity set to buff Raiden than being stuck in Bennett's circle.

I think we are due a supports comparison video at this point since we are getting quite a bit more now and they are all quality options. Citlali, Xilonen, Furina, Kazuha. etc... Would make for a great guide video for sure.
@@Arunika1 It's mainly just pyro. There's not a freeze team that would use her other options since she's a freeze character who doesn't buff cyro. But yeah she's a generally useful melt support.
Man, Mavuika and Citlali in first half means my weapon banner pulls aren't gonna be cursed. If I lose 50-50 on the weapon banner for Mavuika, I hope it will be Citlali's weapon I get and not lose the 75-25.
Who else besides CItlali can use her weapon btw? Im on a guaranteed Rate up weapon, and while Im gonna try my hardest to get Citlali as well, Mavuika and her weapon are my priority.

I will get Mavuika, maybe also Citlali. That said, I am utterly disappointed in the Pyro Archon's kit. We were all hoping for an off field applicator and/or a Xiangling sidegrade but instead we "only" got a new DPS, as if we didn't have enough of them.
Imma pull Mavuika, Citlali, then save. Fortuntately, I already got Clorinde so I won't have to worry about getting her. Might try for her signature though
to anyone who likes mavuika but is disappointed with her kit design/direction, just pull for arlechino and put a mavuika mod over her. i've been playing as mavuika already for the past month over dehya and arlechio models. mavuika using greatsword and scythe looks better than doing donuts with a bike.
This analysis is amazing! Thank you so much for 10-point ranking the characters. This was super helpful, especially for Mavuika. I've never pulled a limited cryo character, but you sure have me thinking about Citlali.
Another good thing about Citlali is that if you're using her with a dps that also uses Furina, because she's a catalyst character she can use the Prototype Amber to still allow Furina to generate Fanfare Stacks while still providing excellent comfort.
Whats sad is that Mavuika and Citlali are on the same phase so you cant pull for both. The choice between Arle and Clorinde is DIFFICULT for me. I know Arle is higher dps than Clorinde but Clorinde is hella fun. Also for context i just got Neuvi and got extremely lucky and got his C1 and a Mona.

An archon should come with some flexibility. Or atleast something very unique. The two weakest archons bring uber level CC and top notch defense. She is just big dmg..but only if u have natlan character. Never thought i would skip an archon even tho i love her design and bike
As time passes she will become more flexible. She's only rigid because we're 1/4th the way through Natlan right now, and only have a handful of characters. Once Natlan is completed, and after when they trickle more characters to the region Mavuika will have more teams to play around with. I'd say that puts her on the same level of restriction as someone like Furina, who needs a healer. Now of course, Furina can do with more than just healers via prototype Amber, certain cons and passive that heal, etc. However I'm hopeful that some weapons or artifact sets get added that can give non-Natlan characters nightsoul/fighting spirit the same way they made the Arkhe sword.
@totallynotpaul6211 needing a healer is far less restrictive than a region locked support 5 star tho. Anemo healers, even bennett and yaoyao works well with furina C0. Edit: with anemo healers I imply that it's not a dmg loss So far it looks like xilonen is a must pull to make her work and mavuika at C0 might need a 2nd natlan character by the looks of it which is a nasty move from mihoyo. This means that old characters many ppl have cons for can't use her in a team properly except you have mavuika cons? Mavuika vape with xilonen, furina and neuvliette is a potential monster team IF one natlan character suffices for C0 mavuika. Its classic mihoyo, creating a problem and then selling you the solution. On an archon that's evil
She can be and be between arlechino and Mavuika, there is a lot of room there. But if she is a bennet better. The thing is, we don't need a bennet, would only make sense if powercreeps him..
I though that Furina was better than Citlali in Mavuika teams, cause Citlali only makes Mavuika able to melt 2 CA hits, while Furina enables her to vaporize 1/3 hits
@anaisduh Yeah I know, melt is X2 and vaporize X1.5, but still Citlali can't enable Mavuika to melt constantly. And I think Xilonen is able to charge all Mavuika's ult by herself, so Idk why is Citlali better, shall I pull for her instead of vertical investment in Mavuika?
@martisarda6346 Mav + Xilo is 170 fighting spirit (maybe 180 if you weave in 5 normal attacks), not 200. Also Mav’s burst initial cast is a large portion of her dmg so melting it is far more important than anything else. Furina lets you vape 2 more hits total so melt is still adding more damage since you melt your most important hit and half of your reactable charge attacks. Also buff wise Citlali has 40 dmg% from cinder city, 20 pyro res shred, and 48% atk from ttds vs Furina having an average of 40 dmg% from her burst and 20% atk from Tom. Yeah if Citlali has cinder city Xilo doesn’t, but Xilo using Petra is 5 dmg% less compared to the 20 shred and 28% atk you lose from using Furina over Citlali.

i just thought about a team for Mavuika. The team consists of Mualani, Orroron, (idk how to spell their names), Mavuika, and Kokomi. Basically u have Mualani and Orroron use their skills and bursts to build Mavuikas fighting spirit quickly while doing some decent damage (idk the multipliers for electrifying reactions, so dont come at me for the amount of damage). You could also use Mavuikas pyro application from her ring to increase the damage. Once Mavuikas bursts is ready you use Kokomi's skill for hydro application and then u bring Mavuika out as a main DPS. Like this is really the only way I can justifiable think of pulling for Mavuika without also having to pull Citlali. Idk though, if some has other thoughts I would like to hear them.
IMO Baizhu is not a great choice. He’s only worth it if you play Cyno or Aggravate. For Neuv both Zhongli and Xilonen are a lot better. He’s just not that high pull value anymore.
@@aerohydra3849 He's nice for Nilou Bloom too, assuming the other Dendro is Nahida then he allows the other Hydro to be a dedicated dps / subdps (non-healer).
I see so many people saying that Citlali is a must for Mavuika, but following a Hoyoverse trend, the best support for any character actually comes in the future.
Hoyo easily can just put Mavuika and Citlali in diferent halfs but noooo, they go full greed and put all in 1st half, and put new skin for Hu Tao without a rerun of her as always.
I agree, I would pull Mavuika but then you're tied to heavily investing into her to make her work well, cause you literally HAVE to main her if you pull her since she's neither a support and requires a lot of investment. I'd rather get Furina or Nahida constellations or other supports to make my account as a whole a lot better than hyper-investing into a gimmicky redundant pyro DPS.

She has an straight forward playstyle, require no specific mechanic (she can burst without Natlan chars by herself in any team), is not burst reliant like Xiao or Cino, so she is great for overworld as her E is enought to kill anything there, no burst needed. You are better off saying you just don't need another pyro DPS. But she aint gimmicky. Gimmicky are characters like Raiden, Arlecchino even tho she is amazing for overworld and downright OP, she is gimmicky. Mualani gimmicky, whole Dendro is gimmicky, etc. Mavuika really is plug and play.
i really wanted mavuika but im gonna pull citlali for my arle and maybe get her weapon. i am disappointed with mavuika's kit being restricted to natlan chars, maybe i can get her on rerun when i have good natlan supports
I thought I was going to get all archons. I already have Xilonen, Mavuika seems great for me. But her attack animations look so fucking goofy I can't. Gonna invest more into Arlecchino ig.
She fails both as a dps and a support. Barely better than xialing with worse pyro application and needs 2 other 5 stars from natlan to barely beat over arlechinno without natlan characters her damage falls off immensely.
Ikr when they were showcasing citlali in the livestream they first showed her gameplay with arlechino and that looked really cool and then they switched to mavuika them it all looked so meh..
I really don't know if Mavuika is going to be a smart choice for my account: in terms of teams, I can already play most of strong/meta ones, and another Pyro carry is not really appealing to me nowadays (especially after C2 Arlecchino)... If we think about archons' value, her kit is rather uninspired: Venti's strength (CC) has become ininfluential in many scenarios; Zhongli is just a shield bot; Raiden still deals enough Electro dmg, and her party-wise energy regen effect is still unmatched; Nahida is an excellent off-field Dendro applier; Furina is... she dmg, she buffs, she heals, excellently; Mavuika is, theoretically speaking, a sort of Raiden 2.0 in terms of novelty, but nowadays it doesn't look enough... I hoped they made here a better Xiangling for real (i.e. same Pyro application but on Skill instead on Burst) with a supporting Burst, but they made her a better Dehya instead...
I will be skipping Mavuika, for now. Not because she's weak or anything, but because Archons love rerunning and Shenhe very much does not. This opportunity is quite hard to come by.
I was going to pull for Mavuika anyway but was deciding between investing more in her and getting other characters. I’ve made my decision -- I will be pulling C0, because I want her as a Kinich subdps

@Ferseiga007 Clorinde can play aggravate, Chev overload, and now with Ororon she can play electro-charge. Her team diversity also becomes extremely flexible if you get absolution, being able to go the stander hypercarry setup, or playing as a driver with high on field dmg. Her team diversity in my opinion is higher than Arle.
I don't care if she's the highest DPS or does my taxes, Mauvika is a skip. I even like her design and the bike is cool, her kit is just that disappointing (concept-wise, not power). I got C2 Raiden on her release with some luck when I needed a second team, and while she absolutely carried my account through the Inazuma Abyss hell, the 7s ultra-burst playstyle became miserable over time. Multi-waves and resetting between fights, boss invulnerability phases, etc. After the amazing comfort of Fontaine DPS who just GO, there's no way I'm going back to that life. I'm positive her E can cover a lot of the downsides I just said and she's quite solid as a sub-DPS, but still, Mauvika's kit design is so gross with the Natlan requirement and being another Pyro DPS that I don't want her anywhere near my account. I'd get C2 Arle before that happens, or C6 Tsaritsa because Natlan has been such a huge primo-saving region for me.

Not having a good shield, but paired with someone like Arlechinno... Hmmm. I always found dodging with Arle to be a little weird, but I guess it will work.
Clorindes biggest strength is her flexibility and that she doesn't care about bennett. With the recent event sword, her and C4 kirara or thoma synergize insanely well together. And with these new enemies that only want instances of elemental damage she is fantastic against them. Specifically clorinde, C3 chevruse, fischl, thoma has done enough for me to use it every single abyss. While leaving my other side to use any combo of supports i want.
I think I am going for arlecchino, the idea that mavuika needs natlan characters isn't appealing for me especially since I am f2p. Arlecchino is more flexible in terms of teams.
Looks like Mav & Cit are rerun candidates & I'll keep saving for Chino, especially as I've stockpiled her ascension mats & have a weapon & choice of artifact sets ready. With any luck I can get her C1 (Hoyo throw me a double drop plz) but given the timeline until she appears I'll have enough pulls to get her twice naturally.
Call me crazy (and someone with Arle C0R1) but... Bennett is a theoretical staple in Arle teams right now. I am running Yela, Xilonen and Zhongli (for QoL) and having Hydro and a Bow makes the clears slower but it is handy. I have zero problems on Arle side and it is braindead easy to clear. Sometimes I feel like a dork for Ulting Yelan against the Hydro immune Tulpa but whatever, I'm immortal, stuff dies, I don't need to care about circles. So there is that - vertical investment in Arle is overkill, but that overkill might allow you to drop Bennet for QoL. When you are playing on your phone on vacations, the difference is huge. Also, with that mindset (not speedrunning, going for max quality of life) Xingqiu is actually better than it looks like because Yelan's ult annimation is annoying. There are minor things like - Alre E, Zhongli E (hold), Xilonen E N1 N2, Yelan Q + quick E to reposition away from the stupid pillar, Arle C1 - N1-15 without touching any direction because she teleports into close enemies = no one climbs the stupid pillar, except maybe Xilonen E going auto target crazy. Yes, Yelan deals more damage, but the only thing you miss besides the bow (to hit flying drakes) is that quick repositioning. Barbara E would probably deal enough damage to clear...
Why Clorinde part has DPS calcs for teams and Arle part has not? It'll be great for banner analysis videos to integrate all calcs for most teams. At least for old characters. You already made cals for them, yes? Just add those calcs to the video (+2-3 sec to duration, cause you already commented on most teams).

i watch her pyro of field application and was realy good tbh,she does 8 hitt and evrytime she do double hitt,total 16 hitt,everytime about 20-30k non reaction(i didnt see her con) i was wanted to just clear it.
I’m pretty new to this game, and was debating to go for mavuika or Arlecchino, as a f2P player it’s been rough, I really love Mavuika’s aesthetics but I don’t have Natlan characters so it feels like a waste, unless I get super lucky from 150 wishes and get both mavuika and citlali, or I can just focus on C1 Arlecchino with signature weapon.
So... Mavuika is Either the best dps in the game if you have correct characters with right build and constellation, or she is the worst dps among the top dps if you don't have the right characters. This literally makes her worse than Neuvillete / Arleccino, who are DPS and their team is really versatile. and for sub DPS she is worse than 4 stars if you are not ready to do high investments of minimum c2 Mavuika.
No, you are just intentionally misunderstanding things. If you have xilonen which you should have if you care about meta then she has 0 issues. She is always better than xiangling, how often do you need to hear it. At C2 she is just BiS on most teams that arent messed up by pyro because def reduction is busted.
A forced pairing with Xilonen is just as bad as Xiangling with Bennett. Except one is infinitely cheaper. Not to say she isn’t good, but if that’s the case, it sounds extremely lackluster for an Archon.

We are locked in with bennet for a long time and kazuha in team comps but this is the first time I saw many people hating on a s tier support to lock in a powerhouse unit. @FlareBattle it's clearly said that she will shine if you have natlan characters with her and xilonen is the best partner for her and xilonen is a very good support so why I won't bring her for a powerful unit at same time enchance the dps furthermore. That's the role of supports after all, if you dont have a good natlan character for her then you don't need to build her as dps she still a good off field pyro applicator but if you want her as a dps she can deal a lot of damage at c0 and btw they will release more natlan characters on future maybe they will also add a good artifact for her but as of now she's like mualani needs pyro for vaporize because her raw damage scks. Mavuika needs natlan character to unleash her full potential as a dps.

Clorinde’s problem IS she doesn’t have a support that makes or break her. If mika was electro and buffed electro damage instead of physical, clorinde would be freaking cracked.
@ tgs thoughts were clorinde was a flexible dps that doesn’t have a single unit that she’s tied to be an effective dps. The flip side to this is, clorinde doesn’t have any one in particular that makes her shine. She’s a character with virtually no hit lag so she loves attk speed buffs. But there isn’t a dedicated support for her in that niche. Mika gives a 25% attk speed buff but clorinde doesn’t bennet from anything else in his kit. Wanderer through his signature, artifact set and c4 Jean gets a 35% attk speed buff. Clorinde genuinely wishes she get something like this in a support unit with other utilities.
I was hoping to use Mavuika in Clorinde/Chevy teams, but I don't have Ororon and who knows when he'll be back, so I guess that's out. I've somehow ended up being one of the few Genshin players without a pyro main DPS, so I could use her in that role. But I don't have Xilonen yet (I definitely plan to pull her on rerun, though). So now I wonder if I should just wait until Mavuika reruns to make a decision. Although they'll probably rerun Xilonen and Mavuika in the same version, just to screw with us. Maybe I should just pull Clorinde cons or her weapon instead.
I have around 320 pulls saved up so I'm trying to get Mav and Citlali and if I don't get too unlucky pull for Mavs weapon (with a neat scenario of maybe loosing to Citlalis weapon)

You dont need Bennett. You dont need to squeeze the absolute best damage out of her all the time. Thats your choice. Also you can pull C1 if you don't have Xilonen. Its going to be very worth it anyway.

I don't really see the bennet issue that much, he's easy to use and easy to build. You just need er in his artifacts and the highest base atk weapon you can give him. Him being a 4 star is great for newer players as well. Yeah, circle impact has issue but circle impact isn't much of an issue vs most enemies and those it is against can be circumvented.
@@Akaneblaze1345 To be fair you will use Citlali over Zhongli in every team that has pyro carry (and a hydro carry I guess, but you don't really need a shielder in freeze). There isn't any team where Zhongli is optimal anyway, in most teams if you want a shielder you want one with a synergistic element and not one that only shields and provides a small buff.
@twigz3214 he is an overpowered release unit that has been shaping the meta and restricting the design of Atk% scaling DPSs and Supports for 4 years.
Outside the point of simple boredom and monotony, he is a character that invalidates every other support in 90% of the teams and that is clearly an issue.

Mauvika is the biggest skip of my life. Already have Arle, no point in pulling for a marginal damage increase on a more restrictive character. Which leaves her off field, which yeah sure its better then XL but its also only marginally better and only feels significant simply because off field pyro is the rarest niche in the game.
Citlali is my pull of the banner, she just has some compelling support roles as a really solid defensive support who enables more usage of melt and freeze
Arle I already have, but I'd say she's overall a "better" pull then Mauvika if you don't intend on going for Xilonen, or if you want a less restrictive character. Her infusing not being gated on time makes it REALLY nice for when bosses like wenut appear in Abyss
Clorinde is, as the video suggests, probably one of, if not the, most flexible DPS in the game. The recent event weapon was also a REALLY solid F2P option for her. Before I got a C2 Chasca she was probably my most used DPS (C2 Chasca was ironically obtained in the effort to get C6 Ororon for Clorinde)

Those graphics depict a character that will be meta but not meta revolutionary, unlike the great previous ones like Nahida and Furina.
Bennett still sits on the Pyro throne, the only thing that changed is now Mavuika sits on his right side and Xiangling moved to the left side.
Bennett sucks and I never used him since 1.0 unless I was forced to by some Abyss configuration .I'd rather use Shinobu with a Tenacity set to buff Raiden than being stuck in Bennett's circle.

Another good thing about Citlali is that if you're using her with a dps that also uses Furina, because she's a catalyst character she can use the Prototype Amber to still allow Furina to generate Fanfare Stacks while still providing excellent comfort.

Whats sad is that Mavuika and Citlali are on the same phase so you cant pull for both. The choice between Arle and Clorinde is DIFFICULT for me. I know Arle is higher dps than Clorinde but Clorinde is hella fun. Also for context i just got Neuvi and got extremely lucky and got his C1 and a Mona.

An archon should come with some flexibility. Or atleast something very unique. The two weakest archons bring uber level CC and top notch defense. She is just big dmg..but only if u have natlan character. Never thought i would skip an archon even tho i love her design and bike
As time passes she will become more flexible. She's only rigid because we're 1/4th the way through Natlan right now, and only have a handful of characters. Once Natlan is completed, and after when they trickle more characters to the region Mavuika will have more teams to play around with. I'd say that puts her on the same level of restriction as someone like Furina, who needs a healer. Now of course, Furina can do with more than just healers via prototype Amber, certain cons and passive that heal, etc. However I'm hopeful that some weapons or artifact sets get added that can give non-Natlan characters nightsoul/fighting spirit the same way they made the Arkhe sword.
@totallynotpaul6211 needing a healer is far less restrictive than a region locked support 5 star tho. Anemo healers, even bennett and yaoyao works well with furina C0. Edit: with anemo healers I imply that it's not a dmg loss
So far it looks like xilonen is a must pull to make her work and mavuika at C0 might need a 2nd natlan character by the looks of it which is a nasty move from mihoyo. This means that old characters many ppl have cons for can't use her in a team properly except you have mavuika cons? Mavuika vape with xilonen, furina and neuvliette is a potential monster team IF one natlan character suffices for C0 mavuika. Its classic mihoyo, creating a problem and then selling you the solution. On an archon that's evil

I though that Furina was better than Citlali in Mavuika teams, cause Citlali only makes Mavuika able to melt 2 CA hits, while Furina enables her to vaporize 1/3 hits
Idk maybe bcs mavuika + citlali is forward melt, furina + mavuika is still reverse vape.
And also citlali helps fill mavuika burst.

@martisarda6346 Mav + Xilo is 170 fighting spirit (maybe 180 if you weave in 5 normal attacks), not 200. Also Mav’s burst initial cast is a large portion of her dmg so melting it is far more important than anything else. Furina lets you vape 2 more hits total so melt is still adding more damage since you melt your most important hit and half of your reactable charge attacks.
Also buff wise Citlali has 40 dmg% from cinder city, 20 pyro res shred, and 48% atk from ttds vs Furina having an average of 40 dmg% from her burst and 20% atk from Tom.
Yeah if Citlali has cinder city Xilo doesn’t, but Xilo using Petra is 5 dmg% less compared to the 20 shred and 28% atk you lose from using Furina over Citlali.

i just thought about a team for Mavuika. The team consists of Mualani, Orroron, (idk how to spell their names), Mavuika, and Kokomi. Basically u have Mualani and Orroron use their skills and bursts to build Mavuikas fighting spirit quickly while doing some decent damage (idk the multipliers for electrifying reactions, so dont come at me for the amount of damage). You could also use Mavuikas pyro application from her ring to increase the damage. Once Mavuikas bursts is ready you use Kokomi's skill for hydro application and then u bring Mavuika out as a main DPS. Like this is really the only way I can justifiable think of pulling for Mavuika without also having to pull Citlali. Idk though, if some has other thoughts I would like to hear them.

IMO Baizhu is not a great choice. He’s only worth it if you play Cyno or Aggravate. For Neuv both Zhongli and Xilonen are a lot better. He’s just not that high pull value anymore.

I see so many people saying that Citlali is a must for Mavuika, but following a Hoyoverse trend, the best support for any character actually comes in the future.
Hoyo easily can just put Mavuika and Citlali in diferent halfs but noooo, they go full greed and put all in 1st half, and put new skin for Hu Tao without a rerun of her as always.

I agree, I would pull Mavuika but then you're tied to heavily investing into her to make her work well, cause you literally HAVE to main her if you pull her since she's neither a support and requires a lot of investment. She has an straight forward playstyle, require no specific mechanic (she can burst without Natlan chars by herself in any team), is not burst reliant like Xiao or Cino, so she is great for overworld as her E is enought to kill anything there, no burst needed.
You are better off saying you just don't need another pyro DPS. But she aint gimmicky. Gimmicky are characters like Raiden, Arlecchino even tho she is amazing for overworld and downright OP, she is gimmicky. Mualani gimmicky, whole Dendro is gimmicky, etc. Mavuika really is plug and play.

She fails both as a dps and a support. Barely better than xialing with worse pyro application and needs 2 other 5 stars from natlan to barely beat over arlechinno without natlan characters her damage falls off immensely.

I really don't know if Mavuika is going to be a smart choice for my account: in terms of teams, I can already play most of strong/meta ones, and another Pyro carry is not really appealing to me nowadays (especially after C2 Arlecchino)...
If we think about archons' value, her kit is rather uninspired:
Venti's strength (CC) has become ininfluential in many scenarios;
Zhongli is just a shield bot;
Raiden still deals enough Electro dmg, and her party-wise energy regen effect is still unmatched;
Nahida is an excellent off-field Dendro applier;
Furina is... she dmg, she buffs, she heals, excellently;
Mavuika is, theoretically speaking, a sort of Raiden 2.0 in terms of novelty, but nowadays it doesn't look enough... I hoped they made here a better Xiangling for real (i.e. same Pyro application but on Skill instead on Burst) with a supporting Burst, but they made her a better Dehya instead...
What I understand from this is for someone who doesn't have all of them.. citlali > mavuika > arle > clorinde

@Ferseiga007 Clorinde can play aggravate, Chev overload, and now with Ororon she can play electro-charge. Her team diversity also becomes extremely flexible if you get absolution, being able to go the stander hypercarry setup, or playing as a driver with high on field dmg. Her team diversity in my opinion is higher than Arle.
I don't care if she's the highest DPS or does my taxes, Mauvika is a skip. I even like her design and the bike is cool, her kit is just that disappointing (concept-wise, not power).
I got C2 Raiden on her release with some luck when I needed a second team, and while she absolutely carried my account through the Inazuma Abyss hell, the 7s ultra-burst playstyle became miserable over time. Multi-waves and resetting between fights, boss invulnerability phases, etc. After the amazing comfort of Fontaine DPS who just GO, there's no way I'm going back to that life.
I'm positive her E can cover a lot of the downsides I just said and she's quite solid as a sub-DPS, but still, Mauvika's kit design is so gross with the Natlan requirement and being another Pyro DPS that I don't want her anywhere near my account. I'd get C2 Arle before that happens, or C6 Tsaritsa because Natlan has been such a huge primo-saving region for me.

Not having a good shield, but paired with someone like Arlechinno... Hmmm. I always found dodging with Arle to be a little weird, but I guess it will work.
Clorindes biggest strength is her flexibility and that she doesn't care about bennett. With the recent event sword, her and C4 kirara or thoma synergize insanely well together. And with these new enemies that only want instances of elemental damage she is fantastic against them.
Specifically clorinde, C3 chevruse, fischl, thoma has done enough for me to use it every single abyss. While leaving my other side to use any combo of supports i want.
I think I am going for arlecchino, the idea that mavuika needs natlan characters isn't appealing for me especially since I am f2p. Arlecchino is more flexible in terms of teams.

Looks like Mav & Cit are rerun candidates & I'll keep saving for Chino, especially as I've stockpiled her ascension mats & have a weapon & choice of artifact sets ready. With any luck I can get her C1 (Hoyo throw me a double drop plz) but given the timeline until she appears I'll have enough pulls to get her twice naturally.

Call me crazy (and someone with Arle C0R1) but...
Bennett is a theoretical staple in Arle teams right now. I am running Yela, Xilonen and Zhongli (for QoL) and having Hydro and a Bow makes the clears slower but it is handy. I have zero problems on Arle side and it is braindead easy to clear. Sometimes I feel like a dork for Ulting Yelan against the Hydro immune Tulpa but whatever, I'm immortal, stuff dies, I don't need to care about circles.
So there is that - vertical investment in Arle is overkill, but that overkill might allow you to drop Bennet for QoL. When you are playing on your phone on vacations, the difference is huge.
Also, with that mindset (not speedrunning, going for max quality of life) Xingqiu is actually better than it looks like because Yelan's ult annimation is annoying. There are minor things like - Alre E, Zhongli E (hold), Xilonen E N1 N2, Yelan Q + quick E to reposition away from the stupid pillar, Arle C1 - N1-15 without touching any direction because she teleports into close enemies = no one climbs the stupid pillar, except maybe Xilonen E going auto target crazy. Yes, Yelan deals more damage, but the only thing you miss besides the bow (to hit flying drakes) is that quick repositioning. Barbara E would probably deal enough damage to clear...
For my account Citlali and lanyan will have more value than mavuika. Dont need another pyro dps,, my account already have full of them
Mavuika: pretty easy skip.
Citlali: definite pull if she meshes with your team. Extremely good whale bait.
Lan Yan: insanely cracked for a four star.

It'll be great for banner analysis videos to integrate all calcs for most teams. At least for old characters.

If you had told me that 4 years later Archon Pyro would be 7% stronger than Xiangling (on some teams) I would have quit.
I’m pretty new to this game, and was debating to go for mavuika or Arlecchino, as a f2P player it’s been rough, I really love Mavuika’s aesthetics but I don’t have Natlan characters so it feels like a waste, unless I get super lucky from 150 wishes and get both mavuika and citlali, or I can just focus on C1 Arlecchino with signature weapon.

So... Mavuika is Either the best dps in the game if you have correct characters with right build and constellation, or she is the worst dps among the top dps if you don't have the right characters. This literally makes her worse than Neuvillete / Arleccino, who are DPS and their team is really versatile. and for sub DPS she is worse than 4 stars if you are not ready to do high investments of minimum c2 Mavuika.
No, you are just intentionally misunderstanding things. If you have xilonen which you should have if you care about meta then she has 0 issues.
She is always better than xiangling, how often do you need to hear it. At C2 she is just BiS on most teams that arent messed up by pyro because def reduction is busted.
A forced pairing with Xilonen is just as bad as Xiangling with Bennett. Except one is infinitely cheaper. Not to say she isn’t good, but if that’s the case, it sounds extremely lackluster for an Archon.

We are locked in with bennet for a long time and kazuha in team comps but this is the first time I saw many people hating on a s tier support to lock in a powerhouse unit. That's the role of supports after all, if you dont have a good natlan character for her then you don't need to build her as dps she still a good off field pyro applicator but if you want her as a dps she can deal a lot of damage at c0 and btw they will release more natlan characters on future maybe they will also add a good artifact for her but as of now she's like mualani needs pyro for vaporize because her raw damage scks. Mavuika needs natlan character to unleash her full potential as a dps.

Clorinde’s problem IS she doesn’t have a support that makes or break her. If mika was electro and buffed electro damage instead of physical, clorinde would be freaking cracked.

@ tgs thoughts were clorinde was a flexible dps that doesn’t have a single unit that she’s tied to be an effective dps.
The flip side to this is, clorinde doesn’t have any one in particular that makes her shine. She’s a character with virtually no hit lag so she loves attk speed buffs. But there isn’t a dedicated support for her in that niche. Mika gives a 25% attk speed buff but clorinde doesn’t bennet from anything else in his kit.
Wanderer through his signature, artifact set and c4 Jean gets a 35% attk speed buff. Clorinde genuinely wishes she get something like this in a support unit with other utilities.

I'm going for Arlecchino since I lost on her first banner and then I'm gonna pull Mavuika on her rerun
I was hoping to use Mavuika in Clorinde/Chevy teams, but I don't have Ororon and who knows when he'll be back, so I guess that's out. I've somehow ended up being one of the few Genshin players without a pyro main DPS, so I could use her in that role. But I don't have Xilonen yet (I definitely plan to pull her on rerun, though). So now I wonder if I should just wait until Mavuika reruns to make a decision. Although they'll probably rerun Xilonen and Mavuika in the same version, just to screw with us.
Maybe I should just pull Clorinde cons or her weapon instead.
I have around 320 pulls saved up so I'm trying to get Mav and Citlali and if I don't get too unlucky pull for Mavs weapon (with a neat scenario of maybe loosing to Citlalis weapon)
