Downright joyous to have Dana and David together in not1 but 2 stellar podcasts. My husband thinks I'm a mental patient when I'm cooking dinner and cackling every few seconds. I am a fan of Stephen King although my sn is more related to the fact that any time someone asks me to spell my name, I'm inevitably met with the response, "Oh like Carrie Bradshaw!" to which I have learned to answer, "No. More like Stephen King." But to answer your question, off the top of my head I'd say def the Dark Tower series, Hearts In Atlantis, the Mr Mercedes trilogy, Joyland, and his memoir On Writing (I'm a writer myself so it was a fascinating read) But he hasn't written much I haven't enjoyed. Of course I love the classics like The Shining, It, Pet Semetary, Misery, and even his non horror. How 'bout you?

As a big reader of good writing, I have yet to enter into the vast world of King's corpus, even though I grew up watching all the popular movies adapted from his novels, like we all did. I wanted to start with some titles such as you shared here, ones that are the somewhat lesser-known books, before attempting to dive into his more renowned work. I've always admired his incredibly prodigious output: large volumes full of quality stories, one after the next after the next... Best of luck with your own writing! You authors are a special kind of human being--thank goodness! And thanks, again, for the suggestions.
