- मखाना की खेती करना जितना कठिन है. उतना ही गुरिया से लावा तैयार करना . लेकिन बदलते समय के साथ बिहार का मखाना अपनी पहुंच बना रहा है. उसी तरह गुरिया से लावा तैयार करने की मशीन भी बनाई जा रही है. एक ऐसा ही मशीन बनाया गया है जो घंटे में करीब बीस किलो तक लावा तैयार कर सकता है. वहीं इससे बनाने वाले इंजीनियर का कहना है कि अभी तक का लावा बनाने वाली मशीनों में से यह अपडेट वर्जन है. इस मशीन के ज़रिये अलग अलग लावा तैयार करने के लिए स्पीड कंट्रोल है. वहीं बाज़ार में आने वाले समय में इसे उतारा जाएगा जिसकी क़ीमत एक लाख के आसपास होने कि उम्मीद है.

A major problem is getting resolved pertaining to Makhana production eliminating the manuall process which was very painful and inhuman for farmers involving in makhana making and was very slow being a manual process. This machine is solving all these problems. Good potential to increase the makhana production in India with improving the quality.

The Machine is a Farmer centric, user-friendly solution for Makhana clusters in Bihar, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Assam and Manipur. Being of the same size as that of firewood chulha used in Kitchen, this machine easily fits in the hutments of Makhana processors in rural heartlands, besides enabling them to conveniently transfer roasted seeds from the Kadhai to the mouth of machine. Mechanisation of manual process effectively protects Makhana processors from extreme human drudgery involved in holding in his palm smouldering hot Makhana seeds at 300 degree centigrade before hitting them with wooden mallet to crack open Makhana's outer shell.
