UWYS: Use What You See - A rule stating that equipment picked up must be immediately equipped and the old equipment becomes unusable. For Bloodborne, since armor isn't very important (no equip load, minimal damage reduction benefits), I'm only forcing weapon equips. - Ігри

Broken hearted at missing this run live...are you doing a soulsborne marathon with viewer modifiers again this year? I looked at your twitch schedule but couldn't see anything. The community atmosphere is so good on those charity marathons I don't want to miss it and I want to set some money aside for this beautiful cause.

I don't understand why Fromsoft and Sony don't just give us more BB or a remaster, they have a license to print fucking money here.
Probably saving it to sell PS6 as a launch title- just makes more sense for Sony and they have the final say after all

God I wish there was a PC port of this game so we didn't have to mod PS4s just for this one game. It's 2024 Sony, just make a remaster for PS5 and PC and you'll make a load of money, get over whatever grudge you're holding on to.

bro... its so good. If you have played any other souls game it is a must play.
probably the most iconic souls game in the sense of uniqueness. only souls game like it so its revered in the community for it. highly recommended from me as it was the first souls game i beat :)
If you've got a ps4/ps5, you've gotta play this game. It might take some getting used to with it being locked to 30fps without modding with a jailbroken console, but the game itself is an absolute diamond.

yes, and to jailbreak you need a certain version or earlier, so it's up to date, you won't be able to use it

How do you randomize bloodborne? I looked it up and couldn’t get the rando to work on my old ps4. Any help would be super appreciated!
pretty sure you have to jailbreak a ps4 pro.

Hi Lobos, I respect you quite deeply but I feel a bit insulted about the "scientist hoarding results after getting funding" part. Maybe I just didn't understand you well but basically most of the scientists after getting reasonable results of their work they publish papers in scientific journals. The paper goes through VERY strict review so it's top notch quality and the reviewers working for the journal are paid for that. Where comes the money? From the scientits wanting to publish papers and their funding. So actually we as a scientists don't get any money on making breakthroughs in science other than our regular salary. The journals however often charge insane amount of money for the access to the papers but it;s not the scientists fault, we can't do anything about that we are the victims of quite invalid system because we are pushed to publish in reputable (= expensive) journals and free journals are often much less appreciated in scientits portfolio
There are of course also "bussiness scientits" that are hired by companies and the companies that have their own research will of course not share and use the knowledge they gained as a leverage in the market but iy's not the substantial amount of research.
Most of the scientits in the world would really want their results to be free, unfortunately there is a lot of gatekeeping made by the most reputable journals
It's kinda unfortunate to suggest that most academic efforts keep the results of the research for themselves and do not share them. That's generally not how academic research works.
Right? The dream of every academic is to publish lots.
I misspoke on this; to my knowledge, a lot of research is behind a paywall, and what I should have said was that St Jude provides the research for free. I apologize for that
@@LobosjrGamingMuch is behind a paywall. The majority of researchers are interested in dissemination, but journals and publishers largely determine what is accessible. Researchers' KPI is number published rather than number accessible and can be incentivised to submit to paywalled journals due to the prestige of those journals. So the reality is somewhere in between as universities can see behind paywalls while the general public cannot.
@@LobosjrGaming I assumed it was meant kinda differently, and I mean one always has to keep in mind that you're juggling ten different things on stream while talking on top of that (and I do have an idea of how hard it is to talk coherently while streaming), so certainly no apology is necessary. But I still felt the need to point that out, because, as already mentioned by others, most researchers certainly want to share their findings and in general that's how academia and science works, knowledge is shared and constantly questioned and tested and hopefully improved and built upon. And yes, a lot of the research might seem to be behind a paywall, but as also already mentioned, those paywalls are usually "third party" and academics tend to have access to the content behind them. And your average researcher is certainly not doing what they do just to make a buck, science at anything but the top level tends to be long hours and not that much income.
But, just to reiterate, it is certainly *very* admirable what St. Jude's are doing, and, in extension, what you and all the other streamers are doing, there's zero questions about that.
@@Case_ no 100% I get you; it's similar to game developers being passionate and wanting to make great experiences, but publishers/management prioritize profits over experimentation/fun necessarily. never meant to imply researchers were only doing it to make money!! very much the opposite. and thank you for checking me, it's easy for anyone to misinterpret, misunderstand, or simply not know about things. I try to do my best to have a good understanding before making statements, and I failed in this case. I will try to be more clear in the future 🙏

FPS isn't even bloodbornes problem. 30fps is fine. The problem is it's below 1080p super jaggy.

But yeah, I agree, the game has like zero anti aliasing and it’s like 640p.
30 fps is not fine. Not for a fast paced action game. And the problematic framepacing of Bloodborne doesn't help either.
