    Great video guys. It's so wholesome to see you guys make ice cream as a family activity. The icy texture you see is due to the nature of the way the creami works. The mixture is not continuously agitated as it freezes, unlike traditional ice cream, which leads to large ice crystals instead of tiny ice crystals. That is why it has an icy texture.
    I believe that fat and sugar plays a pretty big role in the ice crystal formation, so by increasing the amount of those two, it should lead to a smoother ice cream. But ultimately, if you prefer the texture of storebought ice cream, then a traditional ice cream maker is the way to go. I personally wouldn't say that either is better than the other, because some people like that texture from the creami.

      Overall Recipes need to be R&D a few times.
      Trial and error is basic important of moving forward.
      When making ice cream we like to measure the sugar in brix, aiming 28 to 32%. Fat is important but not to much.
      After getting the recipe right Pacoing ice-cream. The ice cream should be freeze or refrigerate to build the right consistency normally 15-45 min

    Thank you for your true and honest review, as all the other reviews just say all great things about this machine, I just bought it and you are right about the ice cream thickness… it’s more like a milkshake consistency😢but this is a good machine to control sugars and additives in store bought ice cream. You should have more likes as I said…your review is the true and honest of all videos! Lovely family, GOD BLESS YOU ALL 😊

    Increase the fat for more creamy texture. Add heavy whipping cream as a mix in at the end.

    I'm surprised you don't prefer these over store bought, I know for me the regular store bought texture and milkiness is a bit too much for me, but the smoothness that the ninja creates is perfect in my opinion. I experimented by freezing some greek yogurt with pistachio butter and it came out absolutely amazing. My boyfriend tried an orange cream energy drink with canned mandarin oranges and it still came out like super smooth sorbet. When we put it back in thew freezer to eat the next day, re-spinning turned it into the best shaved snow texture ever.

    Very helpful review, I understood that if you are practical on ice cream you can make a good one with this machine.
    There are a lot of recipe you can do to make similar to a cream, and if the result after churn it’s to loose, just put it back to freezer to set and will be like a ice cream

    I think it's always been spelled sherbet, but mispronounced by most people as sherbert. Kind of like how most people pronounce comfortable as "comf-ter-bull".

      @@DiffFamilyReviews - would be interesting if you could try the ice cream produced by a Pacojet (the more expensive high-end model that Ninja Creami is basically a knock-off of), and tell us how that compares. I'm assuming the Pacojet is much more expensive for a reason.

    • @dzengerink

      Get a nemox gelato pro, if you want real icecream. This Ninja is a frozen yogurt blender, not a icecream maker.

    Sherbet made me laugh

  • @dzengerink
    @dzengerink 2 місяці тому +2

    This isn't an ice-cream machine. Unlike, for example, a nemox gelato pro, this machine lacks a compressor. This machine is a frozen yogurt machine, if you need to solid freeze your product, it's by definition not icecream. This is just a blender with a very specific purpose. If you want real gelato, creamy fluffy icecream, get a ice cream maker WITH a compressor. It's also much quicker, 20-30 minutes and you got 500ml of icecream. Only downside, they cost 3-5 times more than this ninja.
