Remembering that Australian team from 1999-2009. Hayden, Gilchrist, ponting, clarke, martin, hussey, watson, lee, McGrath, Johnson, etc... All legends of Australia Playing in that team... Awee... the toughest team to be beat at that time...
@@fazalshah2824 maybe But probably not because gilly retired back in 2008,Hayden retired at the start of 2009,McGrath retired after 2007 world cup... It was not the same anymore And also few other legend had past their prime
@@vardaankoul7199 I think Australia won the 2009 champions trophy as well that happened late in the year. The golden era Aus team was so strong that they could win a tournament even with ageing players and few retirements.
@@grovsey3656 I agree with the other names, but Mitchell Johnson? I don't think Mitch was better than Lee in Limited overs cricket. Lee has a better bowling average, bowling strike rate; he's picked more wickets and has more 5 wicket hauls in ODIs. And, even if you ignore the stats, Lee's impact in white ball cricket for Australia is far more significant, something that can be seen even more clearly since McGrath's retirement. And, I know pace is not the most important factor for a fast bowler to take wickets, but, Lee could still bowl over 150kph in 2012, at the age of 36. In contrast, by the time Johnson played against India in 2014, aged 32-33, he'd already lost quite a bit of pace compared to 2012-ish times. (He was still fast, but not as fast as he was in 2012). Lee had great fitness, and could bowl fast and consistently well despite being injury prone. I can't really say the same for Johnson. Mitch was still taking wickets, but his line and length were just not good enough, his economy rates in the series against India and then New Zealand weren't that great either, but, since he was reaching retirement age, and most fast bowlers retire around 32-33 years of age, I'll cut him some slack. In Tests though, I will agree, Mitch is quite far ahead of Lee, without doubt. He was also really good at sledging, somehow managing to get under the noses of even well-set batsmen. He was great with his mind games, rivaled possibly only by players like Shoaib Akhtar and Glenn McGrath among fast bowlers playing around the same time as him.
Great nostalgia from watching this, all my favourite second-string Aussie players were in this side: Cameron White, Tim Paine, Nathan Hauritz, and Callum Ferguson, the 'what could have been' players of that generation. Plus the somehwat overlooked Nathan Bracken. Never mind the legends, I loved watching these blokes play.
4:44 Fantastic. Anyone who has been a wicket keeper knows how difficult that is. Up to the stumps to a lefty seamer (Bracken) with a lefty bat on strike. A blind leg side stumping. Beautiful. Paine made it look easy.
Strauss and Brett Lee two great players. Brett Lee for sure my favourite fast bowler for Australia, probably just behind Flintoff, Anderson and Jofra Archer
The amount of wasted talent in English One Day cricket is just mind boggling. The fact for a very long time till 2015 they had no idea on how to manage talent in ODI cricket, is a thing of case study across all top Management Universities.

6:15 That sound of stumps 😍
0:32 That sound off bat 😍
Yes love it the sound of stumps ❤ bowled him 💥
6:16- what a peach of a delivery... An absolute jaffa.... And that classic Brett Lee celebration... What a bowler.....
I saw this match live. Reliving the moment, it was the best bowling spell I have ever seen in ODI by Brett Lee.
It's so good to see old cricket highlights on UA-cam ❤
Ss I likeIt❤
Brett Lee the legendary bowler AUS have ever produced
What? 😅
Yeah I'm sure Dennis Lillee, Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne would agree to🙄

@@nbrocx4216 it's always test cricket.. nobody cares about ODIs..
Both these teams' jerseys are looking way cooler than their present time jerseys!!
Australia's 2015 wc jersey was the best
@@animeshnaik2345 nope, nowhere near to this one or the 2007 world cup ones!!
@@mananagrawal8424 You are absolutely right. This jersey is similar to the one that Australia had during 2007 World Cup
This is my most favorite aus jersey especially that colour ❤😍
Australia 1999 and 2003 were by far the best
Once upon a time, Australian ODI was a beast, conquering all over the world. Miss those legends esp. my fav Brett Lee❤❤❤❤❤
how about now? world cup champions remember
The stumping of Paine to get Morgan out was just awesome

Luke wright could’ve been a great asset for England had he been backed properly
THE SOUND THAT LEG STUMP MADE...
DOOIINNNG!!!!!!
LEE SENT BROAD PACKING.😅
Would have made a huge difference In the 09 Ashes, especially with how poor Hilfenhaus, Stuart Clarke (apart from Headingley) and Hauritz were.
Utter nonsense. Bowlers mentioned were good bowlers. Bret Lee has a test average worse than 2 of them. He was average.
How Ben Hilfenhaus ever got a game for Australia is beyond me,. Absolute dud.
For Indians only: 06:20 Brett said " Kya Baat Hai"😂😂😂
Greatest fast bowler ever
One and only... Lee ❤
Those are the days when Stuart board uses to click 90 mph 🙄🙄
He's been bowling for like 13 years at the top level of cricket. How fast do you expect him to be at 35?
@@grovsey3656 80 mph.. which he bowls now days but haven't seen him bowing at over 85 mph for last 10 years

Not exactly but we can take teeth hone from hangover as Dr Stuart Price.
Cal Fergie all class…if not for injuries would have been a mainstay in the middle order for Australia for a decade
