    I would recommend applying pressure with your finger when putting the servo horn on, easier on the servo

    I use to fry servos a lot!!!
    A lot!!
    Until I figured out that all setups OVERDRIVE the servos at their end point of travel.
    The servo will ALWAYS travel further than the Bell Crank and wheel setup will allow it to travel.
    There are lots of great Transmitters out there and I'm sure they all do End point adjustment settings.
    I use Radiolink Transmitters.
    With every new car I setup;
    I always adjust the SERVO LEFT & RIGHT END POUNTS so the Servo does not overdrive at Full Steering lock.
    I just keep dropping the servo END POINT until I this finally get to the Physical End Point allowed by the Car Bell Crank and Wheels.
    Usually it is down to 60-70% and even as low as 50%
    The object is to have the SERVO stop the steering left or right instead of the Bell Crank hitting a HARD STOP and the servo is still trying to move the steering.
    I hope that makes sense to you.

      I guess I've just been lucky lately.
      I've just never been able to bring myself to spend over $50 on a servo.
      I think if I crawled more I would put a good one on my crawler.
      I'm a cheap skate.
      I'm running a $29 Surpass Hobby 2050kv Motor in our EXB Kraton
